Got 10 Diy install sets for the internal HDMI mod for sale right now.

Keep in mind you should be handy with a soldering iron. It's not a lot more complicated than a chip install but if you already have trouble with an xbox chip leave this mod alone for now.

Price for each set is: 70€ +shipping costs.

Drop me a PM if you want one!

The install set does include the main HDMI mod and the install adapters for ONE motherboard revisions so you have to decide which revision mothebroard to use when ordering

this looks sweet, do you have any youtube vids with this outputing?  What are the differences between the internal chip and lets say a Hyperkin HDMI cable?

hello,

I wish I had some information, is it that your mod hdmi can have a picture in 1080p? Can we add scanlines and so adjust them, as on mod hdmi citrus 3000? Or other settings that we do not see in the video?

Thanks Patrick

I don't think so.  This mod outputs the resolutions that the Xbox is capable of 480p, 720p or 1080i. There is no upscaling or scanline capability added.

Does this tap into the digital video from the xbox, or is it a component to hdmi adapter?  Ether way im probably gonna end up getting one of these if you still have some this time next month. Looks to be the only easy thing to get digital audio over hdmi. So its the perfect thing for my setup, once i save up and can afford it.

This takes the component signal and converts it to a digital one.  It's the hardest HDMI mod to do but it is the best HDMI solution out there, in my opinion.

Good enough. I don't need the digital video since it(video on the Xbox) doesn't seem to degrade as the capacitors age like the audio does.

Hello,

Does anyone know if Chimp will properly display with this mod? I have read that the Chimp program requires a composite output, and will not even work with component. Does this same issue apply with the internal HDMI? Thanks!

Good evening,

excuse me. I would like to buy the hdmi n64 freak, but are the games that are in 240p, like arcade games (massive ninja for example) will pass on the HDMI?

Thank you

Totally off topic, but what is Silent Hill 2: Inner Fears? Different name for SH2: Eestless Dreams?

Inner Fears  PAL region

Restless Dreams NTSC region

and yes, both games have same content

EOT

I tried Chimp on a version 1.1 with 1 of N64's HDMI mods and No it seems to not work.

Hey all this is my first post on this forum. Thought I should share the schematics for the old AussieChip Dual Mod and Cheapmod mod chips.
From what I understand this company went under in 2003 when the Australian government started to try and outlaw mod chips; the same time when many other governments were trying to do the same. AussieChip decided to give back to the community and release the build entirely for free.

The files are for an old program called Protel though it is now called Altium Designer. Altium is very very VERY expensive (7k+ a year) though they have a free trial if you want to take a gander at the design files.

I was trying to convert it for use in KiCad and Eagle though I'm not very familiar with these programs yet and the implications exports cause on schematic data.

I started to do some research into seeing if any major developers such as Team Exodus released their schematics. (I really wish they would) That's how I came across this.
Do you have schematics for mod chips? I encourage you to share them. In today's age we should be open sourcing old technology such as this instead of letting it die into a forgotten history.
      Happy modding, nerds.

I know this group has a lot of new HDMI solutions recently, and has focused on the wii2hdmi mods. ( and I know there are more options coming in the near future)
Here's a new option for you....I've recently finalized a completely new design (it's been in the works since christmas, but I'm pleased to announce that it is now completely functional) -supports component to HDMI conversion at all supported xbox video resolutions -Wolfson Audio IC to convert S/PDIF signal for the HDMI transmitter -Individually shielded video signals -Internal install will be an option   There are two basic ways to take advantage of the digital audio 1)Direct decoding when passed through an HDMI receiver 2)Optical pass through from your TV to you receiver 3) it can also pass the stereo audio to play directly on your TV   Sales are probably about a month out still, as I will be sending units out to a few trusted testers and get testing done with some of those problematic xbox systems that are around. So a member of the group was asking for a Dport to dport wire he was asking other members if they had one available because he had one of those LCD screens that go on top of the Xbox and use a proprietary wire that connects from the Xbox to the intec inc screen.. I told him it was easy enough to make that it was just a few wires he could not be bothered. This got me thinking maybe I should make an easy-to-follow schematic for this. I did not do any YouTube searches or Google searches. I clearly went off my HDMI schematic and figured out the rest for myself. There was an image going around that shows the dport but it is backwards it shows the front view so in this image you will see that it's been deciphered so it's easier to follow well soldering. I did make one of these wires and had great success I used all brand new hardware that I purchased a little while ago. It is working great very basic wiring. I'm pretty sure this LCD does not provide video over 480i I think that's pretty much the max resolution I could be wrong on that this wire is designed to Output in 480i or your typical composite video signal. This pinout / schematic can potentially save a lot of money. I have not seen one of those wires alone on eBay it always comes with the screen so if somebody is looking for that wire it could be very costly pretty much what they want to pay for it. Not only that the same schematic can apply to somebody who has an RCA entertainment series Xbox Ready TV which has the proprietary dport input. In order to make this wire you can follow the diagrams exactly. Just make sure you add a few extra feet to the length in between. I know I bought one off Amazon and I think it cost me around 35 with shipping. This wire can be easily made from 2 $5 RCA wires. The schematic itself was made and designed by me maybe that's why it does not look the absolute greatest. I'm more of a Hands-On guy than the computer guy so I apologize but it looks pretty self-explanatory easy-to-follow what you do on one end you want to do on the other end. You should be fine the only concern is the jump wire pin 8 to pin 20... I have found if you only do one of the Xbox connections with this jump that connection has to be the one that's plugged into the Xbox itself. If you hook it up the other way around it will not display. So you can either remember to always plug that one in your Xbox or just make sure you jump both sides on both connectors. In order to not have to worry about that. In any event I hope somebody somewhere can benefit from this schematic took me a couple hours to wire up in a couple hours to make the schematic itself. But if it helps at least one person in the community save money than it was totally worth it 🙂 4 wire I just used regular RCA's. I'm guessing if you wanted the best kind of quality on this you can always use Xbox 360 shielded component cable wire since that is a high build grade for sure..for 5.1 audio out just tap into pin #3 ...thank you very much
      Frank
