I modified the baord to allow for a TOSLINK transmitter to be added... I change $5 more to add the transmitter to the board... they are available now with the HDMI adapters

true, the length are custom, but its highly unlikely that is a custom thread

the closest I've found are #5-20, but they arent quite right.... M3 self tapping arent quite right either.... but I would be extremely surprised if they were custom...

it doesnt work like that. the audio data has to be inserted into the HDMI data stream... Frank was talking about taking the digital audio from the xbox connector and using a TOSLINK or coax connector... these can then be fed to your receiver to get the audio

yes, the MS9282 is the best chip in the wii2hdmi boards, but the wii2hdmi board versions do not have an audio encoder to handle S/PDIF

the S29 chips work just fine... exactly the same specs as the AM29 (even same Dev ID and Manufacturer ID), makes me think that Cypress bought the IP to the chip and rebranded it

just so you know the connector on the xlcd itself has the row switched.... what I showed is the x3 chip side, for the lcd the top and bottom rows are swapped, so pin 2 would be VSS and pin pin would be Vdd for example
