Just to follow up what Dave said, if it is the HDD, you MUST install a mod-chip.

I've also seen this as well. I suspected it was because I tried to copy a game that failed due to dirty disc, but that's just speculation.

It's a stock HDD I believe. Have you tried throwing it into a PC to make sure the HDD is bad?

I believe all games run better with the additional horse power, but some run too well. Some games run too fast with the extra juice. From what N64 said, these are more on the collector side as they are the same specs as the legendary FriendTech Xbox's.
