About Me

  1. Dear All, I currently own 2 xbox, one 1.4 and one 1.2 motherboard revision, both work fine, but on 1.2 I see vertical lines, when running on Pal Interlaced modes (480i) since the graphics chip is different, Focus vs Conexant, has anyone experience the same? Both mobos have latest Ind_Bios 5004.67, brand new caps and thermals replaced
  2. Since I had taken these pics to show N64Freak to troubleshoot my DIY install of his internal HDMI mod, I figured I could also post them here. This is my 1.6 XBOX motherboard. Since it runs my arcade pedestal, I only needed the board itself. It is on wood and plastic spacers off the wooden base I created. Standard AladdinXT modchip. For a much quieter, and at least as cool if not cooler, machine I replaced the heatsinks with these GPU coolers. Works after a few hours of play and no temperature issues. Here is the Toslink optical port mounted (still having some issues getting sound out of it for some reason) And here is another view of the HDMI install. My advice for anyone else doing this install is to use good solder, good flux, and a HOT iron. And double check every connection with a multimeter, as from some of the install steps, there is no turning back to fix.
  3. Hi Does anyone have some current eBay links to suitable cables? I have an 80 way cable but to get it to connect to the bits the cable is twisted all over the place and the orientation seems wrong compared to the original 40 way cable. So links to something that fits tidily and sensible orientation would be great, thanks.... (Global shipping, I'm in UK not USA!)
  4. I have a xenium chip with led board for sale $100 dollars shipped I have to already not planning I using this one

"Note: not all DVT4 units have the prototype tags just the early run models, which this unit is."
  6. Re-flashing bios on dead aladdin x2 Plus2. Im not sure what went wrong but i tried to update the aladdin x2 Plus2 to the ind 5003 via Xblast ( loaded oh hdd ) The flash appears to be successful but after a reboot i got the 3 boots and frag. Now it appears the chip is dead.? Thankfully i had another X2 Plus 2 and using that i can boot again I thought maybe i could hot-swap the chip and re-flash the bad one. However when i pull the chip the console appears to freeze and video goes to black. Im running off a Hexe 0.99b11-22 heimdalls xbox engineerind disc to try and re-flash 1.6 pal xbox Any ideas if this is possible?
  7. Hi guys I have an xbox with xecuter 3 and pro switch.. If anyone would like to make an offer
  8. Well if someone has asked this question, I can't find it. I have a V1.2, non-chipped XBOX. Was wondering if the EVOX M8+ bios found on Hexen 2018 disc will work for a 2 Terabyte drive? Anybody else got any more suggestions? Thanks
  9. 10. Hey all. i hope you can help. My 'Project Xbox' (V1.4) which i generally tinker with has an Aladdin X2 running IND bios. All my other Xbox's are either soft modded or have Xceuter 2 installed. I've never tsop'd a console and was thinking that i should give it a go and move the Aladdin X2 off too one of my 1.6's that has been soft modded. Can i boot to dash, pull the chip and then flash the tsop? Assume i have already bridged the 1.4 mobo ready for a tsop flash? ( This box, like all my others has a failed DVD that doesn't read discs. so need to do all this from the xbox itself) And... what software should i flash with? Thanks heaps
  11. Selling on ebay to make it fair on UK buyers. I really want this to go to a good home, I am only selling as I am moving house and need the money towards fees otherwise I would have kept it eternally haha. Thanks for taking the time to look. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Very-Rare-Team-Xecuter-Original-Xbox-With-TX-Faceplate-128mb-Ram-X3ce-Xapt3r/113716250636
  12. I have a v1 xbox that I softmodded with the unleash , ummmmm , dash or mod.....ok I'm a noob give me a break. I already successfully modded my own v1 xbox with unleash , i even upgraded the hard drive then to a 300gb one and ripped some of my dvd games onto it. so at this point I felt invincible. I then tried to mod my friends v1 xbox doing the exact same thing. Removed clock capacitor and cleaned installed unleash copied drive to a larger one started loading dvd games However I also tried downloading an emulator. I got it installed , sucessfully played an old diddy kong SNES game , but within the emulator there was a "reboot" option that I selected. The second It rebooted the console now is now in FRAG mode. there is no video output , it attempts to boot twice power cycling every second until the frag. It frags regardless of what drives are connected or unplugged. I ASUME the board has a problem with the firmware or bios and that it's my fault for trying the reboot feature in whatever emulator it was. (i should have just stuck with xbox games) So now i'm in a pickle , I asume the board will need some sort of bios flash or perhaps even a chip installed to fix the bios which is beyond my skill level. AND OR...... if i could unlock either of the two drives that console has I could save the game saves and music the console had on it..... and just buy a new xbox. Basically i need to solve the frag , or rescue the data. any ideas?
  13. Dear All, I want to use xbmc4gamers as my main dashboard, problem is that I can't ftp with it, I'm using direct connection with a crossover cable, using same settings as UX, but on Filezilla it always says "ER connection refused" something, enable static IP on xbmc, put default IP adress and geatway, user: xbox pass:xbox, everything the same as UX but always ending with an error, what am I doing wrong? Thanks
  14. I've actually seen a few people talking about this all ready here and on facebook but just wanted to share it for those who haven't. A full tutorial on how to install a custom LCD screen in your original Xbox (NON-X3) that has a temperature monitor so you can constantly see what temp your console is running at to help prolong the lifespan and keep things cool! You can see it on my website by clicking the link below: Tutorial on how to install an LCD screen in your original Xbox console
  15. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck mixing a debug bios with a Focus based motherboard. I tried recently doing a retail to debug xbox conversion and the unit that I tried it on has the Focus video encoder and I ran into video issues as soon as I used PBL to switch to a debug bios. I have tried with both the complex 4627 BFM and also with the 5388 stock one that comes with the dev files and they produced the same result, scrambled video.. I have tried this with an xbox that has the Conexant video encoder and it seems to work though unfortunately due to some screw ups with some DVD drive testing, I have fried the DVD control/power from the PIC meaning I have to power the drive from another xbox for it to work (leave it for another topic as to what I was doing). Anyways , I was wondering if anyone knows of any workarounds for getting the debug bios to work on the Focus video encoder. I have a feeling since there arent any since all debug units to my knowledge had the Conexant video encoder, but nonetheless worth a try. Thanks
  16. Hiya, just TSOPed my 1.2v Oxbox and put in a 160gb hdd. I split the F & G partitions 74ish gb each. The F partition show 74ish gb but G partion is 0gb. Used HeXEn 18 and the evox M8+ bios F+G, Both F & G values showed in XBpartitioner 1.3.
  17. I'm not sure if this is the correct forum but here goes... What's the best way to clone a 2TB SATA Xbox HDD to another 2TB drive? I have an Inateck FD2002 that is a dual SATA USB 3.0 dock, that has an offline cloning feature, but every time I try to clone my 2TB Xbox SATA HDD using the offline cloning feature, I initiate the clone function, then it briefly starts the process, but the dock restarts itself. The USB cable is not plugged into it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  18. Would someone explain where to FTP Chimp 26812 to. I have watched all three video files and am still confused. I am having trouble understanding the accent. The E Partition folder has three files in it. 2 Folders name Chimp and XPB Table Writer and install instructions.. I take it I am supposed to put these files on the root of E Partition? But what about all the other stuff. Most of it looks unnecessary except maybe the Source File folder. Am I supposed to put it in a chimp folder in Applications? Tearing what little hair i have left out. Thanks

  21. Hiya, I have been lucky enough to pick up a Xbox with a X3 chip. Planning to add a 2TB HDD and LCD screen. If anyone can point me to any good tutorials that would be great. Thanks
  22. I dont know if this has been put up on here before, but i came across this during my quest to fix a v1.2 xbox that wont boot. I have at some point managed to bork the hard drive during this quest Any how this webpage shows how to read an eeprom from an xbox using a Pi and a pin header normally used for mounting modchips in an xbox.. I have installed the program on my pi and got everything ready, just waiting for my header wires to arrive and then im goin to give it a go. My thinking is if i can read the xeeprom i can then use xboxhdm2.3usb to rebuild the hard drive and install a softmod. Then hopefully this bastard will boot again Heres the link .... http://icode4.coffee/?p=22

  25. Hello World So I've finally found a Xblast Modchip but... broken one, before buying it, would be happy to hear any advices from the techy folks regarding this situation and what can be done. So seems like the guy who sells it, somehow succeded to crack that U4 chip, and cut a few legs on the Xilinx CPLD, which looks like - they can not be repopulated. The questions are: 1, What chip is U4? 2. Will the new replacement Xilinx XC9572XL CPLD need any firmware? (did not found anything on the xblast repository) 3. Will the SVF from Aladdin Xblast Mod work in this case? (as I know, to launch XBlast bios on Aladdin Modchip, the PLCC32 must have the bios itself, then CPLD also should be written with something) This is how the SVF for Aladdin CPLD LC4032V-XXT44 starts: !
