OGXbox Admin
A couple of weeks ago I decided to do a removable LCD screen mod that plugs into the controller ports. I'm thinking of raffling this to help support the website. What are your thoughts?

I've been toying with a how to. It would only be for VERY advanced soldering skills.
Marty
I have the exact same screen mounted in the dash of my truck...I use it for my backup camera screen. It's fairly decent given it's price.

DFire2
Even though this thread is two years old... This is a really slick idea. The controller ports are quite sturdy. May I take a stab at the wiring for this? You wired one of the ports (4 wires, we'll forget about the 5th wire at this point) into a 4PDT relay that is triggered by the dropping voltage of the PC in front. When the relay is on (no PC resistance), the relay just connects the normal port. But once the screen is in front of the PC, the relay triggers off (not enough voltage), and you tapped into the AV's composite positive wires (yellow, red, white). You wired those into the relay and possibly with a 12+ wire as the 4th, which are all triggered on when the relay is off. The other port is used for the ground wire and probably for physical support. Am I close?
