I tried to upgrade my V1.0 Xbox with 4 Samsung version F RAM chips but it won’t boot. I’ve got an OpenXenium mod chip installed but I’ve tried booting both with and without yet it still flashes. Anyone know what this means/ anyway to fix it? Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a v1.0 original modded Xbox, it had an old Aladdin mod chip, I wanted to upgrade the hard drive and after doing some research I found out I can brick it by flashing a new bios. The bios is unknown but after running bios checker it reads I have a lpc sst49lf020, it boots up xecuter2 into an evolution x dashboard. If I use the hexen 2019 disc, what steps can I take after I install a larger hdd? I don’t need to clone it, I backed up everything using ftp, and I want a fresh install. Hello I got some problem with upgrade my Evox M7, I cant use my G drive so I decided to upgrade Evox, but it is locked (?) I tried to do it with Slayer 2.7, I got 1.5 Xbox, is there any solution to that problem? Thank You

Is it possible on a softmoded Xbox put an HDD larger than 120GB? If it is, how? Is it the same process as for the 120GB? Thanks

So today I got my composite with toslink cable and hooked it up to the TV . My dashboard works fine but when I insert a xbox game the screen is jumbled badly. Is there something I can do here ? Im assuming the cable is fine . It shows up as HD A V pack . I only had the standard A V pack before and am looking forward to seeing an improvement. Hardmod 1.6 Thanks Ryan

Hello, i change my hdd drive to bigger 1tb drive and after succesful cloning i tried to format the new drive with XBpartitioner 1.3 and it complained about "LBA48 info not found! etc..(pic bellow) i tried to flash new bios with hexen 2018 but then that complained about "flash not writeable". i wonderd that do i need to get somewhere the newest bios and put it directly to my modchip via usb cable. our am i missing some step in this setup?

Hello everybody, I've been reading the forums for a few months, and I have to request something that is very dearly to me. It comes after the small intro. I have a previously modded Xbox OG, but I failed I reckon and it only boots the official bios now. I want to thank my dad for showing what gaming was back in 1994, and purchasing me a Dreamcast in 1999 and the Xbox in 2002...Nostalgia Highway to Memories Camp... So : The Year is 2020, and now I want to have a definitive ultimate version/edition of my Xbox that've kept for almost two decades. I've seen CPU, RAM, DVD reader and belt, capacitors, IDE/SATA cables replacements or upgrades, the HDMI mod and the GPU overclock. This all made me have fantaisies, I am too little knowledgeable about the electronics modding and skills. Basically I am searching for someone that can mod my Xbox and upgrade the specs. I am living in the area next to the Border between Switzerland and southern Germany. I don't know what are the exact component bust my requirements is to be able to at least play games with patched .xbe for the DLCs(that I purchased back then, looking at PGR2 and SWBF2)(I still have all physical games with me) and 720p patches as well as some N64, PS1 and Dreamcast emulators with HDMI output (I have the Scart Advanced Pack & HD AV Pack imported from US). I have two Xboxes. One is a v1.1, the other 1.6. Both have a 500Gb HDD. Everything can be cleared and wiped. Softmod must be anyway. The purpose for my Xbox is to be the Leisure Room console with couch/cabinet setup. It hasn't a commercial purpose. A typical scenario is : I want to show my friends old gems and just play from time to time with my brother who shared the experiences with me (I am the elder brother). So it has a purely gaming use of OG Xbox games and Retroarch emulator. As well as maintaining tools for archiving and updating I am confused, it's true, about modchips having only used softmods. A Modchip is a hardmod right ? Which Modchip is the most developer or last updated? I am thinking about the Xecuter 3 and X-Chip ones after looking through the 4th Gen comparison chart in the forum here. I always wondered why people would use many launchers and different OS, with different features like remote media or other networking services? I don't want to have too much things. It must be pretty straight forward for gaming : clear, quick and clean. Hi! I have a topic to start. I'm already happy with my og Xbox upgraded with another 64mb of ram, but I would love to have it modded with 1.4 Ghz Tualatin. My console inside is 1.0 revision motherboard and was manufactured in Hungary, it is also modded with dual tsop and xblast. Do you know if somebody is still doing that upgrade? I've already PM'd to N64 freak but I'am waiting for his reply, so meanwhile when I am waiting for that reply I decided to find out if there is someone else for that job besides of that, I've read that he is only doing 1 Ghz, not 1.4 Ghz anymore - but I already have two proper tualatins so maybe I'll convince him. The only other person I know that was doing this is Trusty but I don't know where could I contact him. My soldering skills are very little, that is why I'm looking for somebody.

Would any you know if it would be possible to run a amd athlon thunderbird 1.4ghz inside the xbox? Its the rival to the pentium III with a socket A 462 could it be done. Could the cpu socket be modified to run this cpu? Any relevant information and ideas and thoughs would be welcome. No negative nancies , Keep those to yourself.

I recently found out that N64Freak no longer does the 1ghz mod, fair enough as the CPU is pretty hard to find on eBay HOWEVER!, I have found a 900mhz Mobile P3 CPU, it is the same socket as the Original Xbox uses Socket 495 BGA. Hello, ive just done HDD upgrade using this tutorial and xbox only see 120gb out of 500gb from my new hdd, what is wrong? funny enough HeXEn shows me the proper status of 450gb+ free space on F drive, the same with Xpartitioner (but only when im using this app from HeXEn disc). These past few weeks have been a real voyage of rediscovery as I hadn't softmodded an xbox in years and the scene has changed so much - Rocky 5 was completely new to me. I was wondering how to go about installing XBMC on startup - which version is the best etc... Sorry for sounding like such a noob but this is all new to me again. I have coin ops, games and emulators like the Megadrive and Snes already installed. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi - I recently updated my hard drive using HDM v 1.9 and it is now ready to mod - I have two options 1. Since I have all the files from back in the day to use Splinter Cell the SID I could mod it easily then I can use put Rocky 5 over it using the Rocky 5 disk. OR 2. Go to the trouble of setting up Rocky 5 Memory card mod -using a flash drive and Splinter Cell - have all the leads from back in the day and recently downloaded all the files and software needed. My question is does it matter if I choose the lazy option (number 1 above) or since I'm starting afresh with a new drive should I take the Option 2 route? Thanks in advance
