You are better off converting the problem games to ISO or CCI rather than using the fix files. The ISO/CCi will play perfectly and has better compatibility with Insignia for Xbox Live enabled games.

Yeah, I couldn't figure out how to apply the patch so I tried to look for solutions. Found that I can just transfer my XISOs and use the XISO to HDD script in XBMC4Gamers and ended up doing that. I wish I knew this before wasting all the time I wasted unpacking my XISOS to transfer them to the HDD all these years lol

The game I can't get to work at the moment is Furious Karting, I can't find a solution, it starts loading, does a few credits screens but won't go into the game.  Tried from various sources including XISO and CCI versions.

According to the compatibility list Furious Karting should work with both XISO and CCI versions:

CCI list

XISO list

Thanks, it must be something with my setup, it's a PAL Xbox 1.4 running Cerbios with xbmc4gamers for the dash.  I'll keep researching and see if I can work it out.

Can confirm the CCI form the set on backups works perfectly, just booted it up and played a few races.

PAL console converted to NTSC, 1.4, Cerbios and XBMC4Gamers.

Thanks, that's the one I've been using so I'm not sure what's wrong, I'll download it again and see if it fixes it, we have the exact same configuration.  The game boots, shows a few introduction screens then just goes black.

Hi Mikey,

I've finally worked out how to get it working after days of trying.

I have to go into Xbmc4gamers settings,
Enable video mode switching
For 60hz games use only Pal-60
then use the White button and select Launch pal 60 to get it to work, if I don't do that after doing a few intro screens the TV just goes black and never runs the game.

Is there a way I can make the Pal-60 the default just for that game that you know of so I don't have to do the white button process?   I've also had to modify my global settings by enabling video mode switching and setting Pal-60 for 60hz games which may cause other games to play up?

I used X4G Video Mode Switching option for the first time last night and I didn't have to press White to manually load my PAL/Europe/Germany discs. You sure you have to open the Context menu and load manually?

Nikey reminded me earlier, that the latest Cerbios has Auto Mode Switching support. I haven't updated yet, though.

In 4 gamers, if you start the game in pal-60 with the white button, the next time you start the game like normal it should start again in pal-60.

thanks, I'll give that another try but maybe my messing around stopped that as I'm sure I've tried it a few times and it hasn't taken place like that and I still have to white button it.   I just flashed up to the new Cerbios hoping that would fix it too, but it didn't.

Cerbios Auto Pal mode wont do anything to it as the CCI from the pack on Backups is a (USA) game (if you got it from there of course). That mode is for PAL only games like Club Football etc.  You also shouldn't have to switch video modes if your console is set to NTSC.

Where did you source the CCI from?

I got it from Backups, I would assume my Xbox is set to NTSC as it's got 720p on the XBMC4Gamers dash according to my TV, and it used to be 1080 when I was using UnleashX.

At the moment the only way I can get it to work is pressing the White button and telling it to run as Pal-60, oddly it doesn't appear to save that setting so I have to do it every time.

Have you tried a fresh install of gamers just to see if that makes any difference? You may have a borked setting somewhere maybe? Try that. Also I will PM you in a mo.

The pure geniuses behind Cerbios have come through with the goods again, my 1.6 Xbox now plays Pirates of the Caribbean fine, prior to installing the latest bios it just scrambled the screen.  Outstanding, solving a two decade long problem.

so they fixed 480p on 1.6?

yes, you don't need to do anything, just flash on the bios and the games like Pirates of the Caribbean just start working where as previously they just scrambled.  No patching of these games is required anymore.  A 1.6 Xbox with a mod chip is now no longer at a disadvantage with these games.
