So I have UnleashX, and have noticed that under Xbox Info under the Systems Settings menu, the console language is set to Spanish (even though all the UnleashX menus and everything are in English.) I don't have the default xboxdash.xbe on my console, is there another way to change the language to English? I have noticed that a few backups I have tried to play have text and/or audio in Spanish, but I'm not sure if that's just from the game file itself or from my console settings.

(It doesn't seem there is any subject like that on the forum if I'm mistaken, please feel free to point me towards it) I just 'finished' Painkiller Hell Wars, boy this game had a load of bugs, I actually didn't quite finished it as I am stuck on the last boss with seemingly no way to kill it and it is unclear what to do, and every walkthrough I've seen actually says the same, it seems it is fully bugged out. I sometime manage to do 30% to it or something and I don't really know how before it heal itself. No to mention load of problems in earlier levels like beeing stuck because some enemies didn't appear or are stuck outside the level's limit. But I had fun !! I remember playing the original one on PC and beeing stuck at Alastor so I did some progress at least. Loved the old school FPS vibe, the frenetic action, the musics, the mood, and the rumble feedback is awesome ! Now I will start Grabbed by the Ghoulies I guess

Hi all, I just bought an OG Xbox v1.1 with Xbit modchip (Evox 3.6 bios is loaded). I still have to open it up for cleaning and checking if the clock capacitor is still in place. Up until now, I had only softmodded my other Xbox. So, what should I do to this one? Can I update the modchip's bios with Hexen Tools, or should I use the old updater tool for Xbit? I guess I could still update the dashboard using Hexen tools, right? I'd really appreciate your help!

Hi, I have just finished transferring the complete (or as close as possible, all NTSC and most PAL games) Xbox game collection to my 2TB X3 Xbox. I say complete but i am missing the "Club Football" games as there is about 20 of them and they are petty much all identical..... I will pick one club and put both of their games on but i haven't decided yet. I have about 26Gb of space left on my G drive which i am planning to use to go through the few Jap exclusives and add any that are actually playable without knowing Japanese Its taken me the best part of a week to FTP it all across doing as much as possible each evening, had a few issues along the way, such as overheating a couple of times and even had a catastrophic hardware failure which resulted in me having to butcher another xbox for its motherboard to get my beloved x3cp xbox back up and running!! I managed to fit all these games in to 2TB by using a combination of extracted folder games and ISO's. I used ISO for those games that have 1000's of files as all those small files dont play well with a 64k cluster size. The ISO's do actually take less space on the hard drive!! Im running the excellent XBMC4Gamers as my dash (Thanks Rocky5) This is a fantastic dash and has provided everything from full artwork for EVERY game, to being able to patch a BFM bios to play the ISO file games. This has bought my xbox back from being unused and stuffed away in the loft to sitting under the TV in the front room where it deserves to be.

So yes, like the title says, I need to buy/get/being given the Wireless Logitech controller for Xbox. I am dealing with many issues in my Xbox because of the analogue buttons and it is driving me crazy, I have heard the wireless controller by Logitech for the Xbox doesn NOT have analogue (press sensitive) buttons! And that is all I need. Of course I would buy one in good working condition (makes no sense buying a piece of plastic that doesn't work). I simply CANNOT buy one in my country, there is nothing of the sort here, not even chinese knock offs. And I cannot seem to find sellers on Ebay who send abroad (I live in Chile). So if anyone can sell and is willing to send, I will be the most happy gamer ever If someone want to give me one for free, well even better No, is ok, I just want to pay a fair price, not too high hopefully. So yes, I know it sounds weird, but I dream with disabling or remove the analogue/sensitive button crap from my Xbox controller! I want to play the Splinter Cell games and their sensitivity is horrible the way it works with the original Xbox controller (you have to press very hard on the face buttons for actions to register). It would also help other games and compatibility with other controllers (I've heard the wireless logitech controllers have compatibility issues with original xbox controllers that USE the sensitive functionality). At least I would want to make it so every push of the button, no matter how slightly, it would push at 255 strength every time. Anybody has any idea of how to begin doing this? This would be done in hardware hopefully. All ideas are welcome

From various sources I know that if you would replace a X3 with a X2, you should swap the SMC ic to a matching set aswell (so just ordering X2 from china doesnt work?) I dont know if an MCP X2 is requireing its own SMC against X2. Those are even more rare, All retail have some kind of X3, but revisions where made. altho MS did a big fix and forced Nvidia to scap alott of mcpx, Nvidia disliked Microsoft verymuch after that. so MS couldnt that easely make newer Silicon designs after the 1.6 design.

Hello guys, I am talking to you from the end of the world, I live in the south of Chile, very near the antartic (yes it's cold). So... here is the thing, I recently got an original Xbox, controllers came dead, DVD drive didn't work, well nothing worked really hahahahha Nevermind, I fixed all of those issues, it didn't even came with screws! I bought new screws, a new IDE cable, I also fix the DVD. SO everything is working now! And I am waiting for my original Xbox controller on the mail. But there is one thing I cannot fix, the Power supply. In here we use 220v, but the Xbox I bought is an American Xbox 1.6 version (110v). I did not buy a PAL Xbox because we are NTSC 60hz! (ironic). Thing is, I search the entire Ebay, Amazon, everything, and I could NOT find anywhere to buy a European PSU for the Xbox. So... I come to you guys, you are my last hope in this world, if anyone has or knows someone who has a PAL PSU for the original XBOX, I would thank you forever. These are the models that exist for the 1.6 PAL XBOX: Delta DPSN-96DP-1 or Samsung (Tuscany) PSCD101301B Those are the only two models in existence, if someone could sell one to me, or even better, giveaway, I would be more than happy. So yes guys, that is my question. What's up with my Xbox? It is not keeping the time and date, not only if I unplug it, but only if I turn it off and then on again, it goes back to 2004 Things is, I have a 1.6 version of the Xbox, with Hynix Ram, softmodded. And I looked for any battery and there is no battery, it has a yellow capacitor that it supposed to keep the date and time. And it is in great looking condition, but what's wrong? Why is not keeping the time? Could I fix it? I am leaving a picture of my motherboard. Thanks for any feedback!

So thats the thing, I just got my first original Xbox! I live in Chile and in here having something like this is very niche hehehe. Nevermind, I opened it, cleaned it, changed the thermal paste, replace the IDE cable for a 40 cable and bought a new controller, because it came with the controllers smashed. There is no modchip on it, because when I opened it up, I saw absolutely nothing. It has a 360 looking dashboard called XBMC360, according to the hardware info, it is a v1.6 Xbox, it has an Xcalibur video decoder, CPU runs at 731.55mhz. Detected retail BIOS is: 5838.01 Made in China, year 2005, week 25, line 5. XBMC pre-2.1 (compiled: May 27 2007) Mplayer XBMC-SVN-r8532 (May 25 2007) I am not asking to give a me tutorial on how to install another HDD (which I will as it has a 40GB Maxtor) I just one to know the basics you know? Why so many partitions on the HDD? What is the main software that runs a modded Xbox? What is a skin? That is it! The rest I will try to find on my own, I just want to know the "basics". Hi, so short i tried tsop. Solder points on 1.0 xbox and when i put my hexen 2018 copy it boots but can't flash anything. If i try to install application i just got error code 3 from hexen. If i try to open tsop flash tools it just stuck on loading/copying files. I tried to check with bios checker but it will not boot and xbox boots back to dashboard. So are this is my soldering is bad or what? Added mobo and hexen info (i can add more info latter, sry for not clean photo it's was best i have to see chips)

Hello guys, I am from south america, I live near the end of the world! And it is my first time with an XBOX (sounds a bit gay). Thing is, I am suffering with my new original Xbox. It came with two controllers, but, both are completely dead, I opened them, and they are unfixable. No screws on the console, I bought them all, hard drive was not working, I bought a new IDE cable, now is working. The DVD drive was not opening, I fixed it with a needle. AND the only problem I have left with no solution is the power supply, it is 110v, 1.6b, made in 2005. I need a 220v! It has been quite a headache, I got myself a power down convertor, it works, but it sounds like a nuclear plant! "Not good" (Trump voice) So dear guys if you have any deals, or any seller of 220v PSU for the Xbox, be sure to let me know! My most thankful cheers to you all! Hey everyone I have a quick question. I have an original xbox version 1.1 with unleash X but not tsop flashed yet or a different hard drive. Which blank DVDS work with the Samsung drive that I can buy? I'm trying to burn HeXen on a disk and I was looking at one called the Verbatim CD-RW 700MB 2X-12X. Would that one work?

I dismantled and washed an xbox and cleaned the motherboard with alcohol tips - the problem is that the motherboard - controller ports - inner plastic parts of dvd drive and hard drive still stink - it’s like a stale cigarette smell any suggestions? Thanks

Hello, I have a V 1.0 Xbox that i bought modded back in 2003. around 2004 i updated the harddrive to a larger, and i did an update with Slayers disk(v2.4?) I cannot seem to be able to identify how the xbox was modded initialy. i have a "unknown" bios version. i cannot see a installed modchip. and rocky5 softmod disk does not give me any options to update the softmod. Would it seem that this could be an tsop fixed unit? from what i can remember, i do not think the unit was opened, so im unsure it its a tsop or softmod.

Dear All, As you all know, FTP big chunks of data takes forever on a 10mb limit, however was looking for alternatives, there's those SATA to USB adpaters, which you can connect directly the HDD to your PC and have up to 60mb second on a USB 3.0, btw I'm using a 2.5 inch HDD Is there any program that can access the HDD FATX system and copy directly to it via PC, I heard of an app namely USBXTAFGUI_V45, also heard of XBOX360Explorer, is any solution for this? I have hips of gigs on my HDD and don't want to wait forever on FTP on 10 megs when I can have it for at least 30 to 60 hopefully. My HDD is unlocked obviously or else it would be harder. Thanks

I have a version 1.4 xbox that was TSOP modded with X2 4983.67 bios and 750gb IDE hard drive. I have flashed IND-5004.67 bios to it and now it does not see the G partition. I have tried to re-partition the drive to no avail, it will not see the G partition. If I boot the HEXEN 2018 disk it sees the G partition or if I re-flash the X2 bios it will also see the G partition. I am at a loss to what the problem I have is? Has anyone had this problem before. Hi all I am new, I have been using this forum for figuring out my new of Xbox, so I just wanted to thank all the posts for the help. I wanted to share something in return that I am sure has been done but I have not seen a ton of. Its not done yet, still have to Mount it in acrylic, and paint job. Have learned a ton though so far in this project. It has a flashed bios, 2tb shdd, I've made several CPU mount covers including one made of steel when trying to figure out best heat sink. I also tried putting in 2 antech 620 h2o's I had; but i quickly wrecked those when taking apart. So i just went with a custom waterloop. This one was cheap, like $60. The most expensive part was the pump. The blocks are mounted on the acrylic with super glue. The rad is so big it doesn't need a fan. I do have a few noctua fans coming though that I got on the cheap. I plan on integrating 4 Logitech receivers directly in the case as I have no desire for wired controllers. The case will likely be just a custom acrylic case. The video out is a pound with a mcable attached. Nice quality. Will try to post updates as I complete things out. Xbox 1.0 Enjoy!

I'm debating selling this Xbox and I really don't want to be low-balled because I don't know the true value of it, so I was hoping you guys could help me. I know it's an Xecutor 3 Christmas Edition chip with a black pro switch, which I've heard is pretty rare; the 4th bank switch is missing the cover cap but I'm trying to find a replacement for it.

Since I had taken these pics to show N64Freak to troubleshoot my DIY install of his internal HDMI mod, I figured I could also post them here. This is my 1.6 XBOX motherboard. Since it runs my arcade pedestal, I only needed the board itself. It is on wood and plastic spacers off the wooden base I created. Standard AladdinXT modchip. For a much quieter, and at least as cool if not cooler, machine I replaced the heatsinks with these GPU coolers. Works after a few hours of play and no temperature issues. Here is the Toslink optical port mounted (still having some issues getting sound out of it for some reason) And here is another view of the HDMI install. My advice for anyone else doing this install is to use good solder, good flux, and a HOT iron. And double check every connection with a multimeter, as from some of the install steps, there is no turning back to fix.
