    Why are you coping the old drive if the Xbox is hard modded? I suspect there is soft mod files that on the old drive that are giving you problems. Fit the new HDD and boot the Xbox with the ogxbox installer 2021 disk and setup the new drive from scratch.     Sounds like you soft modded a hard modded system. Try loading a install disk in the DVD drive that has been slow burned on brand name DVD-r (Verbatim DVD-r) and power off and on the Xbox.     I use a PCB like this. You solder the wii2hdmi to the larger board 1st and solder the correct small board (Lower) to the Xbox then solder the two together. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

    It looks like there is a leg of the transistor and the leg from the diode at the arrows If thats the case you can link with any wire but you will need to clean the legs of the components to get the solder to take properly.     The easy way is fit a modchip then you can replace the HDD and use a install disk to set up the new drive. The other way is to make a eeprom reader to get the hard dive key then to can use PC based program to make a new had drive.     When the mod chip is active you can use C and E drives and it's recommended to install xbmc4gamers dashboard to E drive anyway and C drive is to small to be of any real use other than a boot drive.     You could try the 3 wire trick as the 1.0-1.1 is a 1024kb bios that would have been split it to 4 banks and one of the banks may still have a working bios file.     The evoxdash.xbe on C drive is a shortcut and the dash will be in E , F or G drive under a apps folder. What size HDD is it? Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

    I tested setting the clock in the Original Dash and the clock setting in the X3 config screen and also letting the clock set via the network and it made difference. When the X3 bios was written they probably didn't think the Xbox would still be in use past 2020 ( who did think in 20 years time people would still be using the OG Xbox ) and the same happened with the Aid soft-mod files. Maybe if the R3DUX project (X3 clone ) continues they may fix the bug in the X3 bios or totally rewrite it .     About 1/2 wat long the front there looks like there maybe some thing. If you grab a meter an test the two spots ( blue and purple) in this pic they should test a close to 0ohm that will confirm a problem if they test open circuit.     I tested X3_1943_gold, X3_2914, X3_3284, X3_3292 and all gave the same result, Any time from 00:01hrs 01.01.2020 all versions will reset the time/date back to 2004 Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

    I tested that with 2 different Xbox's (1.6 and 1.1) and it did the same when booting direct to the dash and not loading the X3 menu 1st and the clock gets scrambled every time but not with the X2 or Ind on the 1.1, The 1.6 gets reset to 1/1/1900 on the Evox dash and 1/1/2000 in the M$ dash every time you power cycle it. It made no difference if the clock as set via the net then unplug the network cable and power cycle then the clock was scrambled or the clock setting in the M$ dash it did the same.     As long as the Xbox is dry it will be fine but if you are concerned then by all means test it 1st with nothing else connected You could power the Xbox up with the AV lead plugged in to the Xbox but not your screen 1st and as long as the xbox boots with out any flashing leds then it will be good to connect to your screen.     I tested this with a X3cp with the X3 bios and yes the date gets scrambled on each boot where the X2-5035 and Ind 5004 bios didn't reset the date/time I haven't noticed it before as my Xbox's are connected to the home network and the date/time is set automatically Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

    It could be damaged traces from a leaking clock cap or possibly the cap's near the heat sink. Best to open it up and have a look, If you are unsure post some images of the insides Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

    For the Ind bios look for ""FANSPEED=10 ;Fan Speed 10-50 = 20-100% Default=10"" in the ind-bios.cfg file And the X2 look for ""; speed of xbox fan, value 10 equals 20%, value 50 equals 100% fanSpeed = 15"" in the x2config.ini file Save the config file to your PC edit the file then FTP back to he Xbox and reboot.     I have a preference to re-flashing the onboard bios over a modchip anyway, And 98% of users never need a 2nd bios file. I have 2 of the X2.6 chips and one had a dirty bank switch When you flash that chip if you want both banks to be different you need to have both bios files combined into one file and just about any chip flash program should work.
