Maddoc Posted August 16, 2023 Report Share Posted August 16, 2023 Hello im new to xbox i have a softmodded xbox 2tb 1.4 how do i go about installing cerbios on this modded console as i cannot find any proper install videos on yt. There are many talking about but not physically showing how it is done. Can it be done via dvd disc or how? I also have a 1.6 chipped console with no hard drive also cannot find a proper step by step guide or yt video on putting a new hard drive into a xenium chipped hard drive less xbox. These are things new that non moddifying people face but people showing modding xboxs tutorials fail to provide clear instructions on. Any help really appreciated. You can install a SATA hard drive up to 16TB in size. I personally think a 4TB hard drive is a good size to pick but everyone has their own opinions. Once you pick your hard drive you will also need to buy an IDE to SATA adapter. The Startech is the one recommended to use but depending on what part of the world you live in, it may be hard to get. Another thing you will need to do is replace your original Xbox IDE cable with a new 80 wire IDE cable preferably one that is 24 inches long. The 18 inch long IDE cables are a very tight fit and are almost too short. Once you have your hard drive, IDE to SATA adapter and 80 wire IDE cable, you can use FATXplorer 3.0 beta to setup your new hard drive. According to the readme included with Cerbios v2.3.1: To launch Cerbios as a BFM BIOS, simply copy the Phoenix BIOS Loader folder to your HDD along with a copy of Cerbios BIOS file renamed as Cerbios.bin, Copy BootAnims folder & Cerbios.ini to root of C Launch default.xbe & let the magic happen. If that's what it was formatted for. Also, it's pretty much the best bios out right now so there's no reason not to. Flash it. It's what people are using right now. Here's an overclocked UDMA 6 version. Should be mild enough to work with any xbox. Am totally stuck A blank white screen? Are you saying that happens when you boot the bios, or when you try to flash? When i try to ftp (tried with both and ethernet and a cross over cable to the xbox via browser using my xboxs ip address as per marios instructions on ytube connecting my xbox to a hp g3 tower pc i get a white screen in the browser with no optiins on browser page.
