  1. I have a chip modded xbox that when powered up will go to the MS dash board. If you hold the power button down a few seconds it will activate the chip and will boot-up, turning the XBOX logo blue and if there is a game in the DVD drive it will load the game. If there is no game in the drive then it will go to the MS dash board. How do I get the Xbox to load the xbmc dash board when the mod chip is activated? I have tried Auto Installer Deluxe v 4.45 to install the dash boards from the disc to the E: retail hard drive but none have worked, when I re-start the xbox with mod chip activated it will go to the MS dash board. I have tried to use the Hexen 2018 installation disc, but the xbox will not read the disc. Please could someone help me to set up the dash board so that when the mod chip is activated it will boot to xbmc dash board? If you can help, please explain in simple terms because I am not good at these things, a total novice. Thank You.
  2. Ok I want to install my x3 that is on 1.6 board to a 1.0 board the problem is that the modchip has all the bios flashed to 1.6 is it possible for me to reflash the bios to work on the 1.0 board don’t want to mess anything up
  3. Hey guys! I made a video guide on how to install / setup the OpenXenium modchip on a 1.6 OG xbox including an LPC rebuild installation. These chips are not much more than the Alladins prebuilt and significantly cheaper if you want to build one yourself. They're way more feature rich as well and support multiple bios' + LCD support. I'd highly recommend these chips my dudes. Enjoy and let me know if you have any questions.
  4. Could I have some advice please on a way to TSOP flash a bios of recommendation without the use of the DVD drive. So off the hard drive or USB.
  5. Over the past week I've picked up 5 1.1 consoles with a 1mb tsop bank. What BIOS would you recommend me using for the 1mb chip and method to flash it via the HDD. Note: I don't have a way to burn a disc with something like hexen so far so I'd be flashing via the HDD.
  6. I need an ATX converter board. N64 Freak is sold out. Does anyone else have a spare they are not using?
  7. Wanting to buy a 128mb Xbox motherboard, I would prefer it to be a 1.2 or any revision that doesn't have the single row PSU connector Also I'm only really looking for people in Australia to save on postage cost @SS_Dave would you be interested in selling me a 128mb board since your in Australia?
  8. UPDATE: The seller is sending me a replacement board. No longer required. Got sent a board from an eBay seller that is FRAGGING out of the box. Many loose capacitors and I fear more underlying problems. I need a v1.0 or v1.1 board, as all I have lying around are single ATX power supplies. TSOP flashed preferred, but if not, then EEPROM extracted, if possible. Please PM.
  9. I have a dvd drive that reads disks but crashes because the board is faulty - can I take a working board from a dvd drive with a laser that doesn't read disks? And If so is it pretty easy to do - any guides? Thanks
  10. I have a xenium chip with led board for sale $100 dollars shipped I have to already not planning I using this one
  11. Hi, New to OG Xbox, I have recently picked up 2 Xbox Crystal edition's (one clear and the other Crystal virgin) with board rev 1.6's (confirmed Xcalibur chip on one and the others manufacture date is later so must be also 1.6?) When I purchased these I was hoping to do a TSOP hack on them to be able to boot backup games from and upgraded HDD (already have all reinvent adapters etc). Now that I know I have rev 1.6 boards I know that the only option is a modchip or softmod. Is there a way to boot backup games from an upgraded HDD only using softmod or does this functionality require a TSOP or Modchip? If so is someone able to point me in the right direction for a total Xbox softmod noob. I have softmodded the console with UnleashedX via the SC hack with ease however a lot of information is outdated regarding dashboards and software and finding the most recent, supported software is proving to be some what challenging for me. Any assistance much appreciated

  13. I've got a v1.4 XBOX with an issue with the DVD drive not opening. I have already taken it apart and replaced the belt in the Phillips dvd drive. Then decided to swap drives with another working XBOX that also has a Phillips drive. After the swap, the issue remains with the original XBOX I was working on. In other words, the working drive from another XBOX now won't open. Meanwhile, the drive that I swapped into the working XBOX now opens. This leads me to believe that both DVD drives are good and maybe something is up with the motherboard in the original v1.4 I am working on. Do you guys have any ideas what could be causing this? Is my v1.4 motherboard bad? It seems to open if there is no disc in the tray. Once I put a disc in the tray it will read it and start the game. When I try to eject the game the screen goes black and the disc will not eject. It behaves the same way with both dvd drives I have tried it with and I have verified that both dvd drives are working.
  14. I have a board I wanted to get out there in the scene but right now I’m getting out of the Xbox scene so I’m just dumping all my board deigns - OXControllr is a baord that slips into the controller port and gives you full usb and a power button if you have done the power button mod OXControllr v2.zip 31BDF9E9-7C05-471B-AC92-47031FF3A7F3.MOV
  15. I have a LPC Rebuild Board called the OXC LPCorrectr. I have included the files needed to have it made and it’s completely open sourced. .6 thick OXC_LPCorrector_v2.zip
  16. I have completely taken apart a 1.0 system and removed the clock capacitor, cleaned the CPU, GPU and both heat sinks and reinstalled them with good quality thermal paste. I intend on TSOPing this system. I know it has to be soft modded first. I’d like to solder the two points on the board to unlock write capability of the EEPROM while the system is apart. Is it okay to do this , then put the system back together, do the Softmod and finally the TSOP flash? Or do I have to put the system back together and do the Softmod before I solder the points on the board? Thanks for your help.
  17. Can someone please confirm that only the Pads at R7D3 (on the top of the board) and the Pads at R7R3 (on the bottom of the board) need to be soldered and there is no jumper wire or other modifications needed if the TSOP is a Winbond TSOP and not a Sharp TSOP.
