Hi! I have Xbox original v1.0. component cable I made Tsop and it work greate. I hope to make ram upgreade, but first i write XBlast OS on my bios. after rebut I donot see start console. XBlast OS in ThuHexen 2021 256kb Maybe it work only with composite cable? can i flash the bios with programmer ? it is posible ?

Not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to Google Drive but I lucked into an X3 xbox for £16 and it came rammed with skins and old BIOSes, some of which I recognise and many I don't. Perhaps someone would like them for archival purposes? Please let me know

Hello everyone, Yesterday i was trying to repair my Xbox (wich is a 1.4/1.5, manifactured in 2003), i removed the clock capacitor and everything was fine (i dont care to put the date every time i plug it in) but from point blank it shut down and never came back. when i plug it in it FRAGs and i'm not getting out of this. This is my motherboard : https://imgur.com/a/ZycVKLW i have a modchip installed (not by me, but by someone in the early 2000s), but not a softmod as my xbox read only backups in DVD as far as i know. i made a post on reddit but i had no luck. i tried connecting my HDD to a PC with an adapter and it get recognized by the Devidce Manager but xboxhdm23usb and xplorer360 doesn't seem to detect it and i cant figure out why. i don't care to lose my data, but i just want my xbox back up and running, any suggestion is welcome, but i don't have a EEPROM reader nor a backup and neither a pc with serial port. help me getting this bad boy back to life

I am repairing xbox 1.4 for a friend. His box is having power supply issue. There is not enough volt to run the hard drive. I used external 12v/ 5v source to power the hard drive and the system boots up fine. The dvd disk drive is also working fine as it is connected to the xbox power supply. I took the xbox power supply out and didn't notice any bad caps or bad solder joints. With everything connected and powered up ,except for the power to the hard drive I get the following voltage values. Orange = 3.3V, Blue = 3.3V, Brown =3.3V, Red = 4.48V, and Yellow = 10.5V. I tried adjust the pot and that is max i can get for red and yellow wires. Which caps do I need replace for these two voltages ? or is there something else i can check? Thanks.

After doing the trace repair (I used this video as an example) my Xbox powers on automatically but at least the random shutdown issues appear to be fixed. I can't seem to open the disc drive unless I press both power and the disc drive buttons. I notice the J2 trace seems to be causing it as I removed that one trace wire in troubleshooting. Nothing appears to be shorting. I can provide pictures once I'm done formatting/setting up the HDD I just put in.

hi all new here and new to thee xbox modding, i have a tosp modded og xbox i wont to check the heath of my drive as ive noiced sum saves are not loading i have a 500GB segate sata drive in it i wont to make sure the drive is ok and it's not just a curuped file ?

Hi, Funny title, less funny behavior : my 1.6 xbox won't run chimp. I have another soft-modded 1.6 on which chimp works quite well, so I copied the chimp app folder over to the new one, but no luck. I tried downgrading from component video to composite, but no luck. I tried renaming the Chimp folder to chimp, but no luck. I get to th first screen, linux boots, "starting chimp" is displayed in green and then nothing. What should I do? TIA Serge

I have an 1.6 Xbox with aladdin Chip and now I can't reboot the console using the combination both triggers and back + Start. It used to work before. I don't know what happened. I use Unleashed as default dash and XBMC4GAMERS as an app. Both doesn't work Thanks

Just plugged in the power cord and something in the power supply literally went "pop". Think it's a Delta 1.4 power supply. Is it worth buying a replacement or is the whole console likely toast? Saw a small flash through the right side vent where the PSU sit. Have another delta power supply lying around but think it's from a 1.6 so figure it's risky to put it in. Any ideas? Edit: Discovered a burnt screw sitting in the middle of it. Must've just been a loose screw floating around that dropped in and killed it.

Hi awesome Ogxboxers, So I got another query here and I'm not sure if it has been answered already....so basically I got one of the first versions of the NEOYA X2VGA adapters (pic below) and have to say it works flawlessly on my 1.0 and 1.2 boxes. Image quality especially on a decent PC CRT monitor rivals that of the Dreamcast VGA box. But when I try it out on my 1.6 I get a purple tint on the whole image. I've played around with the dip switches on the adapter and the issue persists. So my question is has this ever been resolved possibly by flashing a specific BIOS to the modchip? Or did 1.6 owners who also bought one of these awesome adapters had to live with it for the last 15 years or so?

Hi - having gotten the xbox original bug recently I have acquired a few original xbox consoles from friends and colleagues. I have a 1.0 that has a fan on the GPU so it's pretty noisey. I have a 1.6 and that can't be Tspoped and I don't have the skills required to add a chip. Today, a colleague gave me an xbox 1.1 - I opened it and checked to see if there was a fan on the GPU and there isn't - which is good in terms of noise. This also means that I can TSOP the 1.1. I have 3 or 4 more lying around in my attic that I collected over the years at car boot sales (mainly to get the games that came with them in bundle packs) - is there a particular model that I should look out for like the 1.1 seems to have the best of everything for me right now or am I wrong? Which version do you think is the best and why? Thanks in advance.

Hey, So I recently hardmodded a v1.6 xbox with an Aladdin XT Plus 2 chip and a self wired LPC rebuild (cut the Lframe trace). That all worked perfectly and I was able to update the bios on the chip using HeXen 2018. When I installed a 2TB hdd and set it up using hexen 2018 everything worked perfectly (Unleash X dashboard). But now I am trying to actually put things on the HDD via ftp but EVERYTIME I try to connect, WinSCP gives me this error (see photo). I am at my wits end now and I have NO idea how to fix this. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know! I can provide more data if that is needed for diagnosis of the issue.

I would like to have a folder on my PC with xbox games and I want to know if it is possible to connect my xbox via internet to the PC with some kind of internet browser and insert a ip or something and copy the xbox games from my PC to the Xbox. I have my console connected to the internet with ethernet cable. I know it is possible to connect both with crossover cable but I am talking if I have my PC on the living room and my xbox on my room. After I modchip my 1.6 Xbox I put a new hdd and prepared it and at the end it opens the xb partitioner and I format my hd in there and all the left space I put it in the F drive which is around 238gb. When I return to the dash it only appears 123 gb. Thanks

I don't have a ton of experience with the OG Xbox, most of my time was spent back in the day on Xbox 360 mods but I acquired and kept these consoles over time, but don't need to hold onto them anymore. First off is this debug kit. I know nothing about it other than it was opened at some point. I fired it up the other day and it sounds like a fan bearing is going out on it. Only interesting thing on it was the audio tool pictured. I know nothing about where the console came from other than it has two tags saying "MS ASSET #" with two different different numbers. I heard from the previous owner it came out of a studio in the Redmond area. $250 + ship Crystal Xbox with converted 120v power supply and X3 modchip. The previous owner said this is a European console they imported, swapped the power supply, installed an X3 modchip, and a 320GB hard drive. If the hard disk was conected. when I reboot the console, The xbox will be frozen at the start-screen. I try to change more cable and hard disk. Still not resolved. Hello, i have 2 xbox, my xbox 1.2 2003 and i have one xbox 2004 1.6 my xbox 2004 is with xbmc4gamer with c shadows and my 2003 xbox is with xbmc4gamer without c shadows, rocky 5 recognize my 2003 as hardmode but is not a flash tsop is stock. My xbox 2003 read game pal in french and my xbox 2004 with the same satting dont read game pal in french but certain games in ntsc read in french. I have all try but the difference with 2 xbox is the c-shadows, the problem must comes from there. in the dashboard microsoft is french setting and on xbmc4gamer pal french france et read game in pal-60. In the c shadows are there any language settings to freeze? How to solve my problem ? My 2 xbox have 2 to hard drive. Can you help me ! Hello a couple of days ago I was testing my newly built component cables (Before using them I tested everything with a multimeter and nothing was shorting and I was able to play with them and they looked great since I used shielded 360 cables so I don't think that the cable is the problem) on my Xbox and it was working perfectly fine, I restarted it a couple of times and I didn't have a single problem, today I tried to play again and I got stuck on the iND-Bios splash screen with the light blinking red and green with no change, it just gets stuck there. My Xbox is tsoped and I have installed a 320 Samsung hard drive with an IDE to SATA adapter and an 80 wires IDE cable (Properly insulated), the DVD drive mechanism is not in the best condition since it needs help to eject or insert itself sometimes but it reads discs perfectly fine when they get inside, I tried booting tru Hexen 2019 and the console kept ejecting it, I'm not sure if this is related to the bios stuck problem or the disc drive itself (I didn't have the need to use it for the last half of the year since the HDD was working perfectly fine and I didn't do any major changes to the dashboard/bios). Aside from that it was working without any problems and I didn't change any configs, I just played DOA 3 and Crazy Taxi 3. Now the console just doesn't turn on, I press the power button or eject and the fan spins one time and nothing happens.
