  1. Found the pin out https://www.ogxbox.com/forums/index.php?/topic/24-xbox-power-supply-pinouts/ So I need to bridge white to black, think it's a 1.6v But do I also need to bridge blue to black to keep it powered on? It's going to power one fan for a 3D printer using the molex connector
  2. I was just wondering if this was possible/advisable and if anyone had done it themselves? Older Chimp versions, up until Chimp 261812 used the Gentoox loader. I never bothered to ask at the time about the other menu options there were and if they worked, including the Flash BIOS option. As I still have archived and installed copies on a couple of less used Xboxes it seems like as good a tool to use as anything else but it is OK and safe to do.
  3. I have tried to copy an iso from my windows 10 pc using both Filezilla and FlashFXP but to no avail. It stops during the transer. On my computer it shows a single iso file but in both filezilla and flahsfxp it shows the samefile name with 2 isos. I always go with the larger one wrhich is over 7.2gb but once it reaches 4gb exactly it fails to transfer the file - what is going on? It's years since I transferred a single iso - any help greatly appreciated.
  4. On a modded PS2 and Wii you can play games directly from iso images. This can also be done a Xbox. You just need some tools, some attach/default.xbe's the correct bioses and some dashboards. I have tried to follow a tread on xbmc4xbox and another one on emuxtras on how to do this. But I gave up as it was unclear to me where to get hold of the attach.xbe file and also if i had to re-flash my bios to make this work. I wonder if someone here can make a good tutorial on how to make this work. ( I use xbmc4gamers as my main dash, And i have two xboxes, one
  5. I have a TSOPED Xbox PAL console and it is running the 2TB Origins image. I had previously set the the video mode to NTSC and was using the HD resolutions fine no problem with a HD component cable, only trouble was the cable was not good quality and caused a lot of buzzing sound through my speakers. So I bought the Bitfunx HMDI adaptor (think it is similar, if not same as the Pound one). Problem I have now is that I can't seem to use it and display in NTSC HD modes at all. If I set the console to PAL the Xbox shows the EVOX boot screen and then loads the dashboard fine (obv
  6. I recently tried to softmod my old xbox and bricked the hdd due to not ejecting the game disc in the end of the installation process. Now the dashboard is gone and I can't even boot retail games using the machine. I just bought an xbox with a modchip (xecuter 2) and I'm wondering if I could swap the hdd in the modded xbox with the bricked xbox and install the ms dashboard from a disc.
  7. Hello, I came across this site while searching for solutions to my problem. I was attempting to upgrade my XBOX HDD to a 1 TB WD SATA drive that is listed as lockable. I followed Mr. Mario's tutorial on Youtube to a T, and it appeared to be successful, however upon powering up with the new HDD in place of the old I get error 07 and on occasion 09. When going back and attempting to use Chimp to re-clone the original HDD to the new drive, the new drive cannot be altered due to it being locked. Attempts to unlock the HDD via the Unlock Slave Drive menu in Chimp do not work, all of which lead
  8. Anyone know how I can add a filter to the options in my Xbox games list to filter games by various info taken from the synopsis file. for example, show only system link games, or co-op games, Racing, strategy, platform etc etc. all the info is there. Just need a way to display only selected types
  9. Hey all! I couldn't find much information online about this so I wanted to post it here so that others would be able to learn from my experience. TLDR; If you don't have any compatible flash drives but you have a PSP1000, you can use it to softmod your Xbox! I recently softmodded my first few Xbox's and I was having the hardest time getting the save files to show up. I followed all the proper procedures and tried 5 different <4GB flash drives without luck. The USBs I used were being recognized as memory sticks in the Xbox, but they would all show 5000+ blocks and no data. After lo
  10. Will this work? or is the 50/60hz going to still be an issue? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07SZCPQY7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_x7K0EbXM3Z6V0
  11. Hello, I just softmodded my Xbox I just got this week using Rocky5. I followed Mr.Mario11's softmod tutorial and every screen corresponded. I used the softmod tools extras kit and installed the Stock MS Dash 5960. Now when I put in a game disk, the xbox logo runs with sound and then the screen goes black when trying to load game disk(have tried different CDs). I tried to FTP a game to HDD. Xbox logo loads, am able to get rocky5 dash but game does not load(Have tried different games). When loading from HDD, xbox color of disk ejection is orange still. Xbox had not been opened, original HDD. I h
  12. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyfbxuMgI4M&t=480sHello everyone! First post, and happy to be here. I want to share something that will add value to the community. I've put together a video tutorial on how you can install games directly to the XBOX HDD through the internet and FTP. All you'll need is your softmodded XBOX, an Ethernet cable, and the HDD Ready games you want on the HDD. You'll be up and running with it in no time. Full how-to video is below. Please let me know if this video helps you so that I can make XBOX content that makes your gaming experience more enjoyable.
  13. Hi Guys So I've been using a WD Green 240GB SSD in my xbox for the last couple of months. I haven't run into any issues yet. I do get a very slight boost in load time but the 80 wire IDE cable maxes out at 133mb/s anyway so there is obvious limitations. I originally decided to put this drive in my Xbox because it was cheap and I felt like it would last longer as it would have no moving parts. The drive I chose is DRam-less, as the Xbox will never be able to take full advantage it anyway. The drive funny enough is lockable. Wanted to get your guys opinion on this, what do guys th
  14. Hi Guys So I wanted to share what I was recently able to do using xboxhdm23usb. So I softmodded my xbox, then what I did was null my hdd key. After that I backed up my eeprom and dropped it into the xboxhdm23usb folder. I then took out the hdd and connected it to an IDE to usb adapter and then used xboxhdm23usb to unlock the drive. (This was easy because I nulled the key). I then used a program called HDD raw copy tool and was able to make a complete image of the Xbox HDD. I then relocked the drive and put it back in the xbox (Working fine). I then connected
  15. I was able to softmod 1 of my 2 Xboxes using a purchased game save, with the necessary files. I ordered an aladin plus 2 chip and will attempt to install to my other. Is there a process I need to do to clean the motherboard prior soldering? Thanks
  16. Hardmod is done on 1.6 but I still have the stock hard drive , should it be locked or is there something I need to do? I have recently install kixxx emulator but have it in apps in the boot dash that hexen installed as I don't see how to put in emulators folder. Works fine just wrong location, how do I move into emulators folder? Still learning how this file system all works.
  17. Hello to all, just softmoded my OGxbox. My next step will be obviously upgrading HDD. so question is, after when i upgrade HDD to 2 TB can i use Sata To USB Adapter to transfer files instead using FTP method? I got 3 ogxbox HDD ready game packs total 1.6TB. I think it woud be much faster using Sata To USB Adapter (USB 3.0)and Xplorer360. has anyone tried to do this?
  18. I know you can use the USB as a memory card, and that's how you install softmods, but can you use it for anything else? Can you store games on it? I'm sure you could, maybe I just haven't thought much about it.
  19. Hello everyone. I have a question. Can i use only F partition on a 67 Bios? I am asking this because i am using ind-5004 bios and it was fine as far as i had F and G. Recently i decided to make just 1 F partition. I loaded xbpartitioner 1.1 and create a single 290 GB partition for F(it was 120 F and 170 G before) and after that i started loading stuff in it. The problem is that after the free space went to 32-35 GB(dont remember excactly)no new files would be writen on the F partition. The other partitions would get files normally. If i delete something on the F,then it would accept files agai
  20. So I used HDM v1.9 and created a new xbox hard drive (40GB) that works. However, I don't see the extra space when I turn it on - it isn't softmodded yet. I'm just wondering if I should put the hard drive back in the PC and create a F Folder using HDM. Will the F folder naturally partition the rest of the available space on the drive or will the ROCKY 5 softmod make all the extra available space in the E drive? Any advice greatly appreciated.
  21. As always, the finished product goes first. The system is a XChip modded xbox running XBMC. Has 4,000 games backedup on it (Coinops-NES, Atari 2600, N64, PS1, Arcade games and everything inbetween. Including some PC game ports as well as backed up Xbox games with custom maps and features). But, there's a twist. It can use original, unmodified NES controllers. And full SNES controllers with a simple SNES>NES adapter (Fun fact, they have the same contacts, just different plugs). This is designed to be a very long lasting Xbox. It runs under 100 degrees Fahrenheit and everything
  22. As the title says, I have an Xbox with an incredibly annoying buzz/hum problem. The buzz comes from the speakers of the TV, not the Xbox itself. And only occurs when using the component cables. When using composite cables, the audio is perfectly fine. Haven't tried SCART as I do not have the cable. I'm pretty sure this issue wasn't an issue just a few months ago. I've tried using different power cables, different power sockets (in case of grounding issue)... I think SOMETIMES it depends on what game is being played whether the buzz appears. My Xbox is softmodded,
