Guys, Could somebody tell wat do I need to do to be able to launch xisos...? I mean I know all the steps except the bios one - I have m8plus (customised slightly to my needs). What do I need to do in order to have that bios support xiso...?

Unsure how to install roms for my emulators in xmbc4gamers

So I'm running an xbox v1.4 with a executer 2.3 Lite mod chip and a 2TB HDD with Origins image. Also I'm using a Pound HDMI (yes I know it's a POS!). On my LG TV the aspect ratio is 16:9 but on the Visio and Samsung TV the xbox games are displayed 4:3 aspect radio. The Origins dash is displayed correctly in 16:9. I recall before modding the original dash had a video settings screen. Any way to get to this screen or make this adjustment? Thanks

So, I have 5 games which fit a 4.7GB DVD disc. Problem1 : some files are wmv (yep, normal wmv videos which even my computer can play) so they can be compressed / converted to lower formats. My question about them is: will it "break" the game if I compress them (I mean, will the game display the usual "your disc is broken" message, making the game crash?) or can they even be replaced (example: same file format, different name?) Problem2 : the only program I know to make a XISO with them is c-xboxtool205 . What do I have to choose : MenuX or MXM options ? Once the ISO file is done, can I just burn it with Imgburn to make it work on the Xbox or do I have to patch it somehow with other programs? Problem3 : if I succeed making such DVD, what will happen if I want to transfer the games to the HD of the Xbox ? Will DVD2xbox utility merge all games into ones ... or can I just use the File Manager to copy the folders manually ? Thank you all for any response, I know it sounds pretty complex, but I just want to waste no DVD's as they're pretty expensive here.

i first installed an aladin chip in the xbox cause i had one laying around. xbox worked great with it. my open xenuim chip came today so i installed it. the ox menu comes up when i boot the console but i have no idea how to get the hexen2020 disk to boot with it so i can install the os. please help.

i'm ftp'ing a bunch of games to my xbox. it has auto shutoff twice now and it is kind of annoying. how do i stop it from shutting itself off?

hi! so i used to have another xbox that had a different unleash x dashboard. it had things in a different order and could go to the old MS dashboard. but my new xbox does not have that. i have looked in my files but dont see any xboxdash.xbe. is there a file i can download and ftp to get that to work? also if thats not how it works do i need to find the unleash x dashbaord 37 file? if thats the case i cant find the file anywhere. let me know if you have a fix ty!

I have a chip modded xbox that when powered up will go to the MS dash board. If you hold the power button down a few seconds it will activate the chip and will boot-up, turning the XBOX logo blue and if there is a game in the DVD drive it will load the game. If there is no game in the drive then it will go to the MS dash board. How do I get the Xbox to load the xbmc dash board when the mod chip is activated? I have tried Auto Installer Deluxe v 4.45 to install the dash boards from the disc to the E: retail hard drive but none have worked, when I re-start the xbox with mod chip activated it will go to the MS dash board. I have tried to use the Hexen 2018 installation disc, but the xbox will not read the disc. Please could someone help me to set up the dash board so that when the mod chip is activated it will boot to xbmc dash board? If you can help, please explain in simple terms because I am not good at these things, a total novice. Thank You.

Hello, I bought a modchipped Xbox rev1.0. I want to remove the clock capacitor and don't want the modchip to be stuck on a clock loop, so I would like to know how to safely update the bios on the modchip through a burned CD/DVD. I've seen things like Slayers Disc and Hexen, but I'm not entirely sure how to proceed after burning them, and I'm not sure how safe it is and I don't want to screw anything up. My modchip I think is the Aladdin onde, has if you hold the power button it boots an old version (as far as I can tell) of EvoX, which besides running burned media and the logo on boot, looks just like the MS dashboard. Any help much appreciated.

G'day all! i've recently got myself a soldering iron and am eager to TSOP my 1.1. I've not yet used the specific soldering iron (waiting for a practice kit to arrive in the mail) but i do have some experience with soldering so i generally know what i'm in for. The main issue is that the fear of messing something up and rendering the console useless is immense! I've barely used it as is so as to not wear out the hard drive, so it'd be a shame to have to bin it. What would be the correct method to join the required points. From many of the sources i've seen, the general strat (without using conductive ink or wire) seems to be apply solder to iron apply iron to points and move it around for no more than ~2 seconds pray that the points have been bridged is this correct? would it be a good idea to use flux on the points or would it not really do anything? I`m trying to add a ZX81 emulator to emustation (xzx81b2) added zx81 folder to emulator and roms. added emulator and roms Emustation scans them makes a playlist ect.. but doesnt appear on the carousel?? Is there any way to add your own systems to emustation?

I successfully unlocked a hard drive with 500GB worth of xbox games and emulators on it. Now I want to lock it using the eeprom from my xbox so I can install it. I unlocked it using HDM V1.9 - I also have a second console if I need to use chimp. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

I hace a 300gb IDE hard drive that I used in a sodtmodded Xbox back in the day - only realized this evening that it is locked and that I no longer have the Xbox I made it for - is there anyway to unlock it - I have softmodded xboxes lying around - would they help unlock it? Thanks

Hey guys! New here and wasn’t too sure where to put this. I recently purchased a TSOP Xbox from eBay, the issue I have is that I’m playing it on my flat screen, but it keeps stretching games into a 16:9 aspect ratio and it is KILLING me. i have done everything from setting the setting in the original menu to normal and 480p and nothing higher, to changing the Setting in the multiple software on the xbox. Any one got any suggestions to help stopping this stretching? It’s really annoying. i did manage to get it into 4:3 but this was forcing it through the framemeister and having that set to 4:3. Any help will be appreciated, cheers guys! Paul

Hi All, I am not sure how to set the thumbnail for the "My Games" shortcut tile on the home page of the XBMC Origins skin. Currently, the shortcut has no image. The XML code below is from home.xml. I have tried to set the path for the icon tag, but my PNG image (xbox.png) never appears. What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated. Thank you. These past few weeks have been a real voyage of rediscovery as I hadn't softmodded an xbox in years and the scene has changed so much - Rocky 5 was completely new to me. I was wondering how to go about installing XBMC on startup - which version is the best etc... Sorry for sounding like such a noob but this is all new to me again. I have coin ops, games and emulators like the Megadrive and Snes already installed. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hello, I recently decided to mess with my recently purchase Xbox 360 development kit and i am having some trouble. I would like to get it set up to Xbox neighborhood and play debug games on it but Xbox neighborhood cant seem to find my system. If possible, could some one walk me through how to set up Xbox neighborhood, how to use it, and finally how to load debug games to it. just to clarify, my system is not a JTAG or RGH, it is an official dev kit so i dont know if the process between the two is much different. I picked up a v1.6 XBOX today and did a Rocky5 1.1.5 softmod (a bit behind; but whatever). When I went to null the HDD key it says it completed and everything looked good. However when I check the System > Settings > System > Xbox info > the HDD still had a non-null HDD key. I then loaded Config magic 1.6.1 application and it reported a Null HDD. What do I trust? I could probably swap in a Nulled HDD, but this is weird. I checked a different XBOX and in the Xbox Info screen it is all zeros. Any idea why the Xbox Info is reporting a value for the key while Config Magic is reporting zeros? which do I trust? Thanks!
