hi! so i used to have another xbox that had a different unleash x dashboard. it had things in a different order and could go to the old MS dashboard. but my new xbox does not have that. i have looked in my files but dont see any xboxdash.xbe. is there a file i can download and ftp to get that to work? also if thats not how it works do i need to find the unleash x dashbaord 37 file? if thats the case i cant find the file anywhere. let me know if you have a fix ty!

HI, I bought the Halo 2 jewel from Chimeric system and would like to know if I must use super glue or is there another way to fix it nicely? The top case is ready with original jewel removed, I used sand paper and added a bit of spray paint to cover any scratches. Thanks,

I have a chip modded xbox that when powered up will go to the MS dash board. If you hold the power button down a few seconds it will activate the chip and will boot-up, turning the XBOX logo blue and if there is a game in the DVD drive it will load the game. If there is no game in the drive then it will go to the MS dash board. How do I get the Xbox to load the xbmc dash board when the mod chip is activated? I have tried Auto Installer Deluxe v 4.45 to install the dash boards from the disc to the E: retail hard drive but none have worked, when I re-start the xbox with mod chip activated it will go to the MS dash board. I have tried to use the Hexen 2018 installation disc, but the xbox will not read the disc. Please could someone help me to set up the dash board so that when the mod chip is activated it will boot to xbmc dash board? If you can help, please explain in simple terms because I am not good at these things, a total novice. Thank You.

Hello, I bought a modchipped Xbox rev1.0. I want to remove the clock capacitor and don't want the modchip to be stuck on a clock loop, so I would like to know how to safely update the bios on the modchip through a burned CD/DVD. I've seen things like Slayers Disc and Hexen, but I'm not entirely sure how to proceed after burning them, and I'm not sure how safe it is and I don't want to screw anything up. My modchip I think is the Aladdin onde, has if you hold the power button it boots an old version (as far as I can tell) of EvoX, which besides running burned media and the logo on boot, looks just like the MS dashboard. Any help much appreciated.

G'day all! i've recently got myself a soldering iron and am eager to TSOP my 1.1. I've not yet used the specific soldering iron (waiting for a practice kit to arrive in the mail) but i do have some experience with soldering so i generally know what i'm in for. The main issue is that the fear of messing something up and rendering the console useless is immense! I've barely used it as is so as to not wear out the hard drive, so it'd be a shame to have to bin it. What would be the correct method to join the required points. From many of the sources i've seen, the general strat (without using conductive ink or wire) seems to be apply solder to iron apply iron to points and move it around for no more than ~2 seconds pray that the points have been bridged is this correct? would it be a good idea to use flux on the points or would it not really do anything? I`m trying to add a ZX81 emulator to emustation (xzx81b2) added zx81 folder to emulator and roms. added emulator and roms Emustation scans them makes a playlist ect.. but doesnt appear on the carousel?? Is there any way to add your own systems to emustation?

I successfully unlocked a hard drive with 500GB worth of xbox games and emulators on it. Now I want to lock it using the eeprom from my xbox so I can install it. I unlocked it using HDM V1.9 - I also have a second console if I need to use chimp. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey guys! New here and wasn’t too sure where to put this. I recently purchased a TSOP Xbox from eBay, the issue I have is that I’m playing it on my flat screen, but it keeps stretching games into a 16:9 aspect ratio and it is KILLING me. i have done everything from setting the setting in the original menu to normal and 480p and nothing higher, to changing the Setting in the multiple software on the xbox. Any one got any suggestions to help stopping this stretching? It’s really annoying. i did manage to get it into 4:3 but this was forcing it through the framemeister and having that set to 4:3. Any help will be appreciated, cheers guys! Paul

Hi All, I am not sure how to set the thumbnail for the "My Games" shortcut tile on the home page of the XBMC Origins skin. Currently, the shortcut has no image. The XML code below is from home.xml. I have tried to set the path for the icon tag, but my PNG image (xbox.png) never appears. What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated. Thank you. Hello, I recently decided to mess with my recently purchase Xbox 360 development kit and i am having some trouble. I would like to get it set up to Xbox neighborhood and play debug games on it but Xbox neighborhood cant seem to find my system. If possible, could some one walk me through how to set up Xbox neighborhood, how to use it, and finally how to load debug games to it. just to clarify, my system is not a JTAG or RGH, it is an official dev kit so i dont know if the process between the two is much different. I picked up a v1.6 XBOX today and did a Rocky5 1.1.5 softmod (a bit behind; but whatever). When I went to null the HDD key it says it completed and everything looked good. However when I check the System > Settings > System > Xbox info > the HDD still had a non-null HDD key. I then loaded Config magic 1.6.1 application and it reported a Null HDD. What do I trust? I could probably swap in a Nulled HDD, but this is weird. I checked a different XBOX and in the Xbox Info screen it is all zeros. Any idea why the Xbox Info is reporting a value for the key while Config Magic is reporting zeros? which do I trust? Thanks!

I have 2 XBOXes v1.2 and v1.6 with Rocky5 softmod v1.1.6. I was messing around with the NKPatcher and nulled the HDD drive key on one of them before backing up the EEPROM and now it boots up to error 05. It seems I need to format it using the hotswap method, xboxhdm v1.9 and a backup of the Dashboard from the C partition, which I don't have. Can I use the files from the other XBOX? EDIT: I'm probably looking at it fro the wrong angle... when using the hotswap, won't I get access to the backed up EEPROM in the E partition? Can it be used to restore the HDD?Or is it better to just format it and start from scratch? This subject is still pretty new to me.

So I have UnleashX, and have noticed that under Xbox Info under the Systems Settings menu, the console language is set to Spanish (even though all the UnleashX menus and everything are in English.) I don't have the default xboxdash.xbe on my console, is there another way to change the language to English? I have noticed that a few backups I have tried to play have text and/or audio in Spanish, but I'm not sure if that's just from the game file itself or from my console settings.

So here is the deal, I have an OG Xbox for the first time in my life. Games play amazingly well, but I don't know if it's because of the fact that most games use AA, but they tend to look a bit blurry. I am using the Xbox with component cables on a Sony Wega CRT 29inch, it is a really awesome TV. But like I said the Xbox looks a bit blurry, the Wii/Gamecube through component looks cleaner in comparison. The PS2 also looks clean on my TV using component, but the PS2 image quality is crap anyways so it doesn't even matter. In essence what I am asking is: Is there an APP or an option within a Dashboard that can make the Xbox games look sharper looking? I dismantled and washed an xbox and cleaned the motherboard with alcohol tips - the problem is that the motherboard - controller ports - inner plastic parts of dvd drive and hard drive still stink - it’s like a stale cigarette smell any suggestions? Thanks

I know it's an Xecutor 3 Christmas Edition chip with a black pro switch, which I've heard is pretty rare; the 4th bank switch is missing the cover cap but I'm trying to find a replacement for it.

Hi - I have a 500GB SATA drive upgrade complete with Startech SATA to IDE connector and 80 pin IDE cable. However, I still feel my 400 GB IDE xbox loads coin ops games quicker. I bought a new old stock 500GB IDE drive and now I want to clone my SATA drive to my IDE Drive. Is this possible? I could use Chimp or could I use HDM V1.9? I would Prefer to use HDM V1.9 but I'm not sure it would recognise a SATA drive even if it is connected using a Startech SATA to IDE - anyone shed any light on this? Thanks

Hi everybody. From what I can understand there is a difference in how to change the default dashboard to anything you want (If you have a tsop, sofmodded or hardmodded box.) In my case, I have a TSOP modded box and I would like to have xbmc4gamers or xbmc emustation as my startup dash. What should I do here? I have read somewhere that I should make a shortcut in a program on my computer to redirect it to where I have the dashfile. Please feel free to fill in the blanks for me to understand this matter better. / David

I hace a 300gb IDE hard drive that I used in a sodtmodded Xbox back in the day - only realized this evening that it is locked and that I no longer have the Xbox I made it for - is there anyway to unlock it - I have softmodded xboxes lying around - would they help unlock it? Thanks

Hi - I have a 250GB IDE hard drive with Coin Ops 8 Massive on it along with a few of my games backed up to the hard drive using dvd2xbox. I also have a few other emulators - NES, SNES and Sega Megadrive. This is the perfect setup for me and I don't really need to add anything else to it. Is it possible to add the xbox origins dashboard to my current setup and if so does anyone have a link or details on how to do it? Any help greatly appreciated.
