I removed the arcade source button ages ago because I didn't need it at the time since I consolidated into just a simple Apps and Games source. How do I go about adding the Arcade source button again to place Coinops 8 inside of that? I tried adding source but it looks like it's just missing and I can't remember for the life of me what I did to even remove well over a year ago now.

Hi all, I'm hoping there's a reasonably simple way to add CoinOPS launch icon alongside the Applications, Games, Emulators folders/icons on the Root of the dashboard? I've tried adding the source to have the CoinOPS icon (folder) appear on Root, next to the Applications, Games and Emulators icons. Then within the CoinOPS folder I created a shortcut .xbe within its own folder that points to the defaultsplash.xbe used by CoinOPS, this does point to and loads CoinOPS from its actual location but is a bit messy imo. I also don't know how to create an icon picture for this, within Xbe Shortcut Maker 2.0, it asks for Custom Icon (.xbx), I've tried googling where to go from here but can't find anything relevant to help. I've found some .xbx files and tried using them but nothing shows for the icon, also tried small .jpg files etc. I also tried copying your _resources folder for CoinOPS 8 from the Artwork Installer to this folder which does show the artwork, but also when accessing this folder from the dash root it shows the "_resources" folder as an option to open which I ideally want to be hidden. There must be a better way to create this icon within XBMC4Gamers? How have you all got this simplified to just work? Hope you don't mind tagging you @Rocky5 ? I'm sure the question has come up before and you'd know if there's an easy way to add a shortcut without much mess

I've looked almost everywhere and all I can find is packs of Final Burn Legends and CoinOps with complete ROM Sets that turn up to multiple GBs. I just wanted to try out the emulators with some specific ROMs as MameOXtras Decade version has some slow downs in some ROMs where KawaX doesn't but KawaX lacks compatibility/support for many ROMs and is quite feature less.

Hi I am looking for artwork for latest version of Coinops Massive and Ninja etc. Similar to resources folder in other solutions. Does anyone have a link?

Just playing around with CoinOps and was looking to see if I could tell any performance improvements with the additional RAM. So far I'm really not sure. I did notice however, that Advanced Settings seems to allow you to increase the memory available for it to call upon. Anyone know if this would do anything or if coinops just uses whatever memory is available by default? Edit: Reading into it a bit further, it seems you have to patch the .xbes WITHIN CoinOps to be 128mb compatible so idk really.

So... Converting Video's for use in Coinops. I've learnt how to get the games across and the actual videos but my problem is. When i convert to WMV2 in Any Video Convertor Ultimate and disable audio the WMV2XMV fails to convert the track. When I leave the audio on it converts fine, Normally this isnt a problem but for this I would like them silent. Any ideas?

Hello Friends I'm configuring Ninja Ultimate and I wondered how I can update / add emulators to it. For example the PCSXbox reloaded uses hardware acceleration so I wanted to change use it instead. For example, I can see AtariXL.xbe and defaultAXL.xbe. I presume the latter is a shortcut to the former which is AtariXLbox modded for Coinops? OR, is this calling the XBE under my F:\Emulators folder I have been searching for days to try to find info and everything points to the PC versions these days. Thanks in advance

Dear All, I notice CoinOps Premium Ninja, which is based on XBMC, when on menus picking up a game, the fan is simply disabled, for members who are expert on XBMC, do you know where you can disable that feature of disabling the fan?

I installed Coinops 8 Massive tonight. When I try to run a game my system just locks up. I scanned for games, restarted my XBOX and it still doesn’t work. Any idea what would cause this? I also have Ninja installed. Could that cause a conflict? My XBOX is a v1.0 Tsoped with the evox8+ bios and I’m running the Unleashx dash.

Hey all - My original plan for my emu box was to leverage XBMC Emustation by Rocky 5 however it was super clunky .... So after a while I stumbled across Coinops and its a pretty good looking piece of kit and ive got it up and running no worries ..... however I am sure there are prettier and better front ends out there and or packages Here is another example I have seen > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrZ27eCwpLM So what do you recommend and why ??

Hi all I am a new member, so am not sure if this posting is in the correct place, but any help would be really appreciated. I bought a modded Xbox with XBMC/Coinops4 on it about 6-7 years ago and then stored it away without really trying it out. In all there are about 5,000 emulated arcade and console games present. I recently decided to start looking at it properly, and so far it seems to be working fine (on a HD ready LCD) except for the following issues/queries. Although not a technical person I have spent the last 2-3 weeks scouring the internet for information/answers to the below, but have not been able resolve/clarify them. 1) None of the NES games work, even though all their ROMS are present a folder named "F:\Emulation\Coinop4\Romsconsoles". e.g. The ABADOX.NES Rom is located in "F:\Emulation\Coinop4\Romsconsoles\NES_Abadox.zip". But whenever I try and run this game I get message "Error Opening D:\Romsconsoles\NES\NES_Abadox.zip ... No such file or directory PRESS B" On reading this error message I appreciate that when selecting a NES game, the system appears to be looking in the wrong directory but how do I fix it ? 2) After much internet searching I found out how to enable the 480p/720p settings by changing PAL to NSTC (and using component cables). On the 720p setting, the XMBC dashboard writing looks far clearer than it did when running in the default PAL 576i setting. However although all the emulated console/arcade games still look OK, they do not appear to be any sharper/clearer than when using the original PAL setting or when I just use just the 480p setting or even when I simply use a RGB cable. Am I missing something or does the 720p setting only apply to the dashboard and not the actual emulated arcade/console games? This question has really perplexed me ! 3) When running an Amiga game the system usually asks me to load a floppy disc. The Coinops Instruction Manual says that you should press the START button. However this does not work. Any ideas what I should do ? The same issue is also present for some X68000 games. Thanks in advance for any help/guidance. John B

Hello everybody, i got a Xbox 1.1 with Xecuter3 chip installed (soldered, purple one) here. It comes with a power and a component cable. The compontent cable was made by myself (3rd party plug + og sd-av cable) and does not show any noise (no ghosting or etc., refer to pictures). In addition the package includes a Duke controller and a controller s. Everything is in very good shape and works perfectly, only the Duke's cable insulation got a little bit loose that does not affect the the functionality in any way. I did also some refurbishment: - Clock capacitor was removed - mobo's top side was cleaned with spirit (94% alc.) - fresh thermal paste was applied on cpu and gpu - the jammed Samsung DVD-drive was replaced with a Philips DVD-drive. - installed a Samsung 400gb HDD (HD400LD, IDE) with coinops 8 massive and 80+ xbox games pre-installed (total of over 4000 games) This package costs 450 € + shipping fee (via PayPal, shipping from Germany, EU only). Feel free to ask me any question. Best regards elmemo

Ninja load roms in OK time, but coinops is very slow. Any posibility to reduce loading times? I like coinops, because of its easier interface. Ninja is awesome, but fast scrolling through hundreds of roms is kinda slow.

Recently had occasion to grab CoinOPS Premium 8 lite while trying to assist someone with what ended up just being a bad download. I actually kinda like it, but the artwork really bothers me. Mostly in that quite a bit seems to be reused and there are a LOT of League of Legends characters in there. It’s kind of a garbled mess, visually, and IMO the artwork isn’t always thematically consistent with the game it’s actually attached to. Are newer versions any better in this respect, or is there maybe a more stripped down version of the UI available? Would rather not download a bigger version if it’s all the same.

I knew this was extremely hard for me to get my hands on. I've looked all over the Internet for wide custom banners. I found a few but they were missing quite a bit. I had to get a little bit from this guy a little bit from that guy and made my own bundle. In this ZIP file is not my entire wide set. Just the ones I had very hard time finding I wanted to share this with the group because I made them myself. I could not find any online. In this download you will find borders 4 wide icons for XBMC. Some of the icons are coin-ops. Premium. Hyper vision ninja and ninja gold. Even adults only with neon lights... I hope that somebody can actually use these. This way I did not waste a bunch of time just making it for myself. Please seed this as much as possible and share as much as possible. Thank you very much and I hope that you guys enjoy this I know it's not perfect but I think they turned out pretty good. FRANKS WIDE ICONS XBMC- COINOPS- HYPERVISON-PREMIUM- Copy.7z
