  1. It's a easy task. You said you have an iND on the 1.6 SST. So you could also boot with that SST and flash the 1.6 bios to it. And then put back your SST in the 1.X. For normal nothing should break. Check the wires tomorrow and we will see.
  2. You just need some tweezers. remove the sst chip from the 1.6 remove the sst from the other working Aladdin and the push it back just tight enough that all contacts make contakt. Make sure you have a 1.6 mutli bios (Attached ) in the "EvoX - Dash - bios" or the "Apps - X-Flash - bios" folder. Now boot the xbox. Start X-Flash or EvoX. Now when your are read to flash (in either EvoX or X-Flash) gently remove the SST from the socketwith your tweezers. Push the other SST in the socket and start the flash. Remove the SST and fit it back in the 1.6 Fit the other SST back in the 1.4 BE A HERO (For your Kids!) Have fun EDIT : X-Flash link (In case it's an 49LF020A or B) : https://1fichier.com/?dk4cd6i6t5k8ce0gvz2d evox.m8plus.v16.fc.137.nodvd.bin
  3. The US has the green as Halo Editon but not to sure how much they have given out of these. The green (EU) without the Halo tag is sold in Europe (only if i'm right) and is limited to 5000 units for entire europe. Back to the slim. If you would make it with a black one and remove the ports completely i think that could look nice (with a nicer power button). A horrible pic attached.
  4. I dont like those super slimes to much. Look at the top of the joy ports. It would look way better to make it at least 0,5 cm higher (Same height like you have under the ports if you know what i mean). But thats just my opinion and depends on the personal taste i guess. Sad is, that this is was a nice limited edition.
  5. I don't have solution but wouldn't be possible to add micro switches under the buttons. They seems to have the same hight like the rubberpad under the buttons. And i one saw someone fixing the graphite pad with a lead pencil. Question is for how long that would work.
  6. Watched both videos and i think, wouldn't it be nice to place this 360 board under a cleaned translucent xbox jewel. You would still need a place to fit the sync button (or do it wit a reed contact and a magnet hidden in the pad) but i kinda like the idea.
  7. For real, don't bother lubing the fan becaus it will not hold for long if there is any chance to lub the fan at all. A new fan like the noiseblocker xs2 is 5-6 euros/bucks and hold much longer as a new lubed fan. Noctuas are nice but not for the job in a 1.0. With the little noctua you get worse temps as with a GPU block from a 1.1 and up because the spin to slow and move only half the air as the original fan. The noiseblocker xs2 isn any louder but moves more air and makes is the better way choice without dealing with lubing. Not to mention that this fan also moves way less air as the original one.
  8. It' a 3 pin fan and works without any modification. WD40 isn't to lub thigs, it's for "cleaning" - only!
  9. I think the blue and the orange one are mine and i wonder why you have them. Good job
  10. You will find downloads on the right side of each page. Openbor : https://www.gamebrew.org/wiki/OpenBOR_XBOX Xmugen : https://www.gamebrew.org/wiki/Xmugen_XBOX Have fun.
  11. In case both would be the same, you wouldn't have the problem you have. The one thing is just software (Using a Bug/glitch ect). A chip or a TSOP flash replaces the hole bios on hardware lvl. I would get a chip modchip (Aladdin, LPC2 Mod) like Dave wrote already. Or in case your're able to finish the softmod, which you need for a TSOP (@Dave), perform a TSOP flash strait after the softmod. But the chip is the way better option.
  12. Old topic i know but i miss this picture which shows the different types of the TSOP. Maybe usefull for the one or the other.
  13. Nope. He said " Just asking around before I go shotgunning and randomly replacing capacitors, any specific ones which tend to go bad? ".
  14. Sounds good. How ever, let me quote Daves sig " Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing. ". Better drop that softmod and do a TSOP flash.
  15. That's why i wrote " Difine "really cut down case " So we're talking about those more or less, mostly ugly looking (just speaking for me) ultra slim version like the on in pic i attached. So yes, than you're right. HE1 server cooler would be an option or (yes) the VGA cooler. I get 9 XBoxes in the next 1 or 2 days (bulk buy for realy cheap). Maybe be i will do one of these ultra slim just for the lol's.
  16. Looks good but i would ceck the 3 caps by the CPU. The one on the left looks a little bit bulky on top (or it's just the picture). And the clock cap is alread gone, that good but the area arround looks a bit "dirty". So maybe there is something wrong with your softmod. Not 100% sure. What you could do is to make the box ready for a TSOP flash. You can also wait for Dave, maybe he has clou whats going on. But i'm sure his advice is also a TSOP flash. But for that the Box should run stable.
  17. Take some good pictures of the inside (caps ect.). Have removed the clook cap? Cleaned the board (if necessary). And i would suggest a TSOP flash. You are just 2 solder points away from it. ;)
  18. Difine "really cut down case". In a normal slim you have enough room to do a custom cooler like the one in the picture. You could also do the same with the GPU block (or just get one from an 1.0 xbox). And i promise these are a lot quiter as thos 3th party cooler.
  19. Thanks Kaos. The first link from your second post ist PERFECT. Looks like i was a little bit blind.
  20. I bought a Blaster CK3 USB and now im after some drivers for these thing because, Team Xectuter was so smart to host there fils on a free host and they are all down. So maybe any one of you have a copy of these drivers or know where to get them?
  21. Do you have the D0 wire soldered to gnd on the modchip or motherboard? If you have soldered it to the chip you will get these error because there seams to be something wrong with the Aladdin XT Plus2. Solder D0 on any gnd to the motherboard.
  22. The XBox should recognize the drive and formate it.
  23. I have considered to do a USB stick mod but the problem is now days to find one that's working with the xbox. And because i have two of these XB360 MU, which came with the XB360 i bought, i would like to give it a go. I though anyone already has tried it so i guess, i will be the first here. I will try it it later the day and report back if the XB360 MU work but for now i need way more coffee. @allteaglich : Thanks for the link. EDIT: I see i need a voltage regulator for my plan so i need to get one of these first (Dave could you drop one on the carpet pls?). So i will order from mouser totay cause is also need some caps. And maybe a stuppid question. A simple resitor (which i have here) wouldn't work just to figure out if this works or not?
