It's not self made, I had a debate on the Facebook page on it and had people try to hunt down the origin of it and came up with nothing. I reckon it's a long out of production 3rd party tech for the xbox that vanished. I'm the only person with one in the community.  The guy I bought it from had no info on it either unfortunately. XCM made their own X-tender that increases the hard drive capacity to 3, This unfamiliar xtention by 5 Xtreme increases the capacity to 5 drives.

Thanks and also I was wondering, I have an original xbox jewl I was planning on modifying (I removed paint and everything, not letters) and how would I go about chaning those letters to XMC. I am interested because I saw one being sold before and it looked really good with white and black.

I don't think you can change the lettering of an official jewel. Usually some people create their own jewels and can etch what ever they want. or usually stick an image on the back of the plastic for an effect.  I have an extra official XCM Crystal jewel sitting here in my extras as well

what are XCM consoles?

XCM are a manufacturer of replacement aftermarket cases for consoles so an XCM console is merely one with an aftermarket xcm case like mine below

Did you ever find anything about that Xtreme 5 HDD selector? I think it's super interesting. It's funny how the full Xbox set is under 3TB but that thing now has max capacity of 10TB 😁

I have already tried sata adapters with the cable and it doesn't work, where whoever built this x5 Xtender used a 40 wire 40 pin cable. As for information goes about it. I'm in the dark still.

I have placed a laptop sata DVD drive in one of my xboxes...
The point is that it does work, as I can install a hdd with Aid, but game back-ups or originals do not start...
Why is this and what can be done about it?
It is a Sony optiarc Inc. AD-7560S.
      Help would be appreciated.

Purchased a Xbox V 1.0 that has the Xecuter X3 mod chip, unit wouldn't even boot at time i received it ( sorry been otta this for like forever and just getting back into it ). After numerous trials and errors i finally got it to boot up, switch configuration on front. Anyways seems like its missing the backup that should be on the mod chip itself, doesn't seem to matter what i try cannot find it, other problem is it only stays on maybe 45 mins and shuts down, i think its a power supply issue, going to try another power supply this weekend since i do have a good replacement for this version. Other issues is cannot turn unit on with power button, only with the eject button, also another weird issue is when its first plugged in it comes on without touching any button on the front, lots of strange issues going on here, maybe someone may have a bit of insight to help resolve these problems. First thing i did was remove clock cap, had leaked a little but not bad at all, area around it got a very good cleaning and looks great
