Hi Guys I am new here and have soft modded my og xbox and installed XBMC4Gamers dash, however some games are just not being recognized by the dash. I have tried so many different solutions, such as copying from different flash drives, hdd.....etc, nothing helped. When ripping the games from a disc, they work fine, and most work ok after copy, but some just show these weird names as you can see in the screenshot. Xbox is running a 1TB hdd, for those games that wont work, artwork installer just marks them as being corrupt. Has anyone else had this issue, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I went to turn on my xbox and it keeps telling me to calibrate the screen when booting into XBMC4GAMERS. I calibrate it and then it tell me it needs to restart for the changes to take effect. I restart it and the same thing happens again. It says Script Failed in top left corner. Ive attached the log if anyone can help. xbmc.log

So I have all my games working and have tried XBMC-Emustation & XBMC4Gamers, Ive updated the dash to the newest version (tried the stable and non stable version). Ive downloaded and updated the Xbox Artwork Installer but every time i run it, it starts and adds the artwork but it stops in the middle of the of the D's in my library. The percentage bar hits 26% and then it quits and just sits on the artwork installer menu. I can run it again but the same thing just keeps happening. Is there a way to just manually add the artwork using fatxplorer, this is the last step. I just need the artwork so i can run Xbmc4Gamers as my dash and have it look amazing!

Usually they have a blank icon and the name looks like e.g. PGR2 [!] (i.e Project Gotham Racing 2) and when I go to the install folder and launch the .xbe manually it launches correctly, the issue also extends to identifying the artwork, as the games with this problem all have .xbns etc and seemingly the correct artwork. If I try to launch these 'blank' games from the Games menu the screen just goes blank for a minute and loads back into Xbmc. Any idea what's causing this? Thought I had a number of bad rips but turns out the shortcuts just aren't working for some reason

Having lots of trouble getting my xbox updated. Its a 1.0, I modded with an xecuter2 back in the day and the switched to a softmod at some point. The xecuter still works but is running an unknown bios (it looks like I compiled it myself) and its booting evox 3935 off of the root of E:. Hard drive is an 80gb maxtor ide that doesn't have any apparent issues. I updated whatever softmod I was running to Rocky5's and installed XBMC4Gamers from the extras disk to E:/XBMC4Gamers/. I also tried the pre-built build of github in E:Applications. Both crash the same way with the same error running off the modchip and softmod: xbmc.log: https://pastebin.com/Tx41wxwk It loads the splash and immediately crashes. It loads the same way when holding White+Y Everything else (games, apps, emulators and homebrew) seems to be working just fine. I cleared the cache, made new empty TDATA and UDATA. There are some really old builds of xbmc on it that run fine. I did my other 1.1 unchipped xbox yesterday with no issue. I'm stumped.

Hello friends What's the easiest way to hide the applications menu so that the kids don't mess about with the apps? I did rename the "Apps" folder thinking if there was no apps then the menu wouldn't show but it still appears and (of course) says invalid path when selected. Thanks in advance

Hey I know you can add main menu options with custom folder paths but when I set it to an app and select it, it opens the folder instead of the app inside it. Is there any way to add a path to a specific file?

I've installed XBMC4Gamers and really like it. Can you change the color of the background at the choosing a profile screen? Also what do you all use for the thumbnails for Applications, Emulators, Games, and Homebrew. Thanks

Hello everyone! I'm new here and english is not my first language so please bare with me. So I was customizing xbmc4gamers on my recently softmodded Xbox, specifically I was adding a couple of sources to my root because I wanted a "dashboards" folder to access them right away. I created a folder with MSDash and Unleashed and a third dash I didn't know what it was, but it contained the file "xonlinedash.xbe". Then I tested if the paths worked and they did, except when I tried that last one it appeared an error in green letters saying there was something wrong with my xbox, so I just shut it down and restart again and everything seemed fine. But since then every time I leave my xbmc4gamers unattended for like 15 minutes it crashes and I get a black screen, interrupting the ftp connection. I tried updating again through the downloader but I got a URL script error and now everytime I try to download something it just freezes the screen. Also when I resume the slideshow screensaver by pressing a button it freezes. Since it only crashed with xbmc4gamers (unleash works fine) I've reinstalled it manually (overwriting the files via ftp), it remembered all of my media and most of my settings, only had to create a new profile. That got rid of the url downloading problem. Now I can use the downloader again, but it didn't solve the crashing problem. Should I erase the whole xbmc4gamers folder and FTP just the new one? The first time I reinstalled it I simply overwrote the folder, leaving some files from the previous installation. I don't have the knowledge required to make any sense of the log file but I attach it here in case someone can help me (it's from before reinstalling xbmc4gamers). xbmc.log

Hello ! I have a bought a xbox with Xbmc4gamers installed, and i have a problem with fanarts and posters. When I press Up on the Xbox games carousel to access the dash customisation menu popup. I have only 2 choices about the views ...like something is locked. Impossible to access to the options of the view options. when i clic on the eye, nothing happen. Like something is locked. Also when i go to the settings page, i have the impression that something is missing What do you think ?

Hello, I'am using Artwork Installer 1.9.4 and when i use it in "Auto" mode, i have some artwork missing. If i use it, in "Manual" mode, it"s ok, i can find the artwork. But in manual mode, it's long... Do you have a explanation or a solution ?

Hi everyone, After hours of trying peoples suggestions and getting nowhere, I am asking for help. Basically, I have all my game backups in f/games/..... and all of these games have been given artworks using the artwork installer. BUT my collection is about 300+ games and so I would like to organise these games into folders ie f/games/Racing Games Folder/..... but when I do this it gives the folder the missing artwork icon. Basically I want to know how to give the folder that I have created (that is full of my racing games each in their own folder) an icon. Using the example provided, I have created this icon which is the usual 200x283pixels but I cannot seem to get the folder to display this image on the games menu. Is there a way to give a folder (full of my games folders) an icon?

Hello! I've recently finished up some testing and fixing of some games and now a bunch of them have "Played 10(+) times". I was wondering if there's any way to reset the play count under the games title in XBMC. I'm assuming I'll have to edit some xml file but where would it be? Thanks

Hi, been using this install for ages with no issues. Today after moving from one tv (on component) to another tv (on RGB, don't know if this is important) xbmc4gamers is asking me to calibrate the screen. I do this, it asks to restart, then when it starts up again it is asking for calibration again, then reset and so on, stuck in a loop. Is there a way to bypass this, or maybe a config file to change or delete that will let me back in again? I notice after calibration finishes and the restart dialogue comes up, there is a notification in the top left that says 'script failed'. Asking here as its likely an easy fix for those with the knowhow! Thanks again folks!

Hi all i have a xmc4gamers xbox. i just want to help to enable to sound on the menus and when you are going through games to select it used to make a sound but i tripped over my controller and did something and all the menu sounds have been disabled how do you enable them again thanks.

Hey Guys! I have a question. Some of my Games are widescreen patched. I used a hex editor to modify the default.xbe file Would it be possible to implement a check like: if defaultwide.xbe is present, then let the user decide if he wants to start the default.xbe or defaultwide.xbe Because sometimes I have my xbox connected to my CRT and sometimes to my Oled and this would make life WAY easier

Hey Guys Sorry to Open a thread on something that should be so simple but it has Honestly stumped me. Ive had a Quick look at the Forums and i couldnt find a Link to what im experiencing so hear goes. Before the weekend i finalized my OG with the Xbmc4gamers all was working fine with no issues. Ive come back today to find that Xbmc4gamers will no longer launch. Thinking its corrupt files after abit of a move around before the weekend i decided to ftp a new set of files that i had kept knowing there are fully working. I honestly thought that would of fixed it but after a hard reboot it still remains. Is there any sort of config file i should be looking to delete, maybe to regenerate a fresh set of files? if so any help would be much appreciated. For a little more information ive tried launching this Through an added menu entry aswell as through the file explorer and both reboot to Unleash X before and after a new set of files via Ftp. Hello guys, I'm very new to the xbox modding scene and i'm having an issue. So far everything works great on my setup, however the display settings won't stay in 1080i after powering off the system. anytime I turn my xbox on it goes to NTSC 4:3 (480ish or even less?) and when i check the settings, the video output options tend to be disabled even tho i had enabled them previously (480p, 720p, not 1080i, however it doesn't work). and the ONLY WAY to get my HD layout back is to go into the original Xbox Dashboard (c: > xboxdash.xbe) and enable the 3 video outputs from there (again) How can I fix this? Could it be that the original dashboard is not holding its settings? Does the original Xbox have a CMOS battery or something? What am I missing? I want to have coinops 8 massive just appear as a shortcut under Emulators in the main menu, but when I add the folder as a "source" in xbmc4gamers, it scans it and gets stuck on one .xbe called something like default_fpp.xbe and has to be rebooted. I can enter the directory via the file manager and boot coinops from default.xbe no problem, same for coinops ninja too - everything works great - but I just can't seem to get shortcuts working and it sucks having to use the file manager everytime I want to play an arcade game. Anyone know what the fix is for this? I even tried going to the .xbes and highlighting them and adding them directly to the favourites list but that didn't work either.

Hi, I am trying to download art for my games on my Xbox. The problem is when I start it it gives an error when I start the process with Magic Config. It says it is corrupted or damaged. The process stops afterwards. My console is hard modded with OpenXenuim and the OGXBOX installer 2021. What I am thinking it is that all my games are in subfolder either by category or by letter. I am thinking that is what is causing the problem. I just want to know if that is the case before I start reorganizing and... reorganizing. If it ain't that, put me in the right direction. i transfer some games today but not all gamers are seen on the main screen i have on F:games <144games than on F: games 1 < 122games < not showing even if a scann the artwork program thing what am i doing wrong so i made 2 folders

Hey Guys, Long time lurker, first time poster. Am having some issues getting XBMC4GAMERS to start on my 1.1.8 Rocky5 softmodded Xbox. When I launch the default.xbe it just bounces me straight back to the Rocky5 dashboard, I dont even get as far as the XBMC4Gamers splash screen. Other apps (Enigmah, XBPartitioner, even XBMC4XBOX) run fine, as do games from the G drive. For background I am using a 1TB WD Green HDD, Sata/IDE converter with an 80 wire IDE cable, I have another softmodded Xbox which I have moved the HDD into and the same issue occurs here too. What's really bizarre is before I copied any games over to the Games folder on the G Drive XBMC4GAMERS started fine, but now wont. I've had a look around the XBMC4Gamers folder and cant see any log files to check. I've also removed and readded the XBMC4Gamers folder, and tried from the E/F/G partitions and same issue. My partitions show as they should do in XBPartitioner (120GB 16KB F, 803GB 64KB G) Have tried running in both PAL and NTSC modes, 480p and 720p are enabled on the MS Xbox Dash, 1080i is disabled). Have also rebuilt the HDD from scratch by secure erasing the disk and formatting again with XBOXHDMUSB. Same thing happens whereby XBMC4Gamers will run with fine with no games on the G Drive, but wont run after they have been added. Was coming down on this being something to do with the games, but if I rename the Games folder on the G drive to something else it still wont start. Any help would be appreciated?
