  1. Hello. I Have A Problem That I’m Having With Getting This One Video Game, It’s Called Def Jam Fight For NY & I Manage To Put it on my FTP And Transfer Over To My Modded XBOX but everytime i try to load it up, it quickly crashes and puts me back to the modded homepage, i currently use XBMC i’m also using a hitachi disc drive I will also post pictures & photos of my modded xbox as well. can someone please help me and show me the solution to this, I Really Appreciate itThe Problem I’m Having The Last Picture Is The ISO That Loads Up Then Crashes Quickly
  2. Hello, Been out of the xbox modding game for a while. Was checking out some posts here and there and I see people mentioning xiso files. I understand ISO and HDD ready games. But what exactly is xiso and is there any noticeable difference between that and iso games? Really all I want to do is transfer some of my backups via FTP to my modded console's HDD. Since the xiso files are much smaller, it seems to me that they might be the DVD rips of games without all the extra 'fluff' of making a 1-1 DVD image of a game. Would that be correct?
  3. On a modded PS2 and Wii you can play games directly from iso images. This can also be done a Xbox. You just need some tools, some attach/default.xbe's the correct bioses and some dashboards. I have tried to follow a tread on xbmc4xbox and another one on emuxtras on how to do this. But I gave up as it was unclear to me where to get hold of the attach.xbe file and also if i had to re-flash my bios to make this work. I wonder if someone here can make a good tutorial on how to make this work. ( I use xbmc4gamers as my main dash, And i have two xboxes, one with evox m8+ and one with indbios 5004. ) Thanks,
  4. I'm running into an issue where just the following 4 NTSC USA games won't load on original firmware from retail disc (get stuck at the Xbox logo + Microsoft text after putting in the disc), or from hard disk via ISO or extracted files (just go to a black screen where even IGR won't work): Chicken Little Shellshock: Nam '67 Without Warning The Suffering: Ties That Bind I'm positive that these are good discs (used for the tests I've run on original firmware) and ISOs that I've ripped / converted myself and validated against Redump hashes (for the ISO loading failures). Full details on the setup and things I've tested follow: I've got an NTSC 1.2 Xbox, upgraded to a 2TB drive, using the recommended ~937 GB F/G configuration with 64 KB clusters on those partitions, on a StarTech adapter. The drive has been locked, so I can still use stock firmware. Clock capacitor has been removed (and clock time set), and the 5 largest capacitors (3 for CPU / GPU and the two large ones on the lower left / right of the board) have been replaced. An original Xenium chip is installed on firmware 2.3.1, with banks flashed for both EvoX M8+ (modded with EvoTool to add LBA48 support), and iND 5003 (the recent modified version with re-enabled XBL and reboot fix). Using 480i composite video out. The Language is set correctly in the MS dashboard to English, which should work with these 4 games. I've got the proper files in place to allow ISO mounting, and all my games are installed via this process: Dump disc with a Kreon firmware SH-D163B drive to full ISO Validate the CRC matches the Redump CRC (so I'm sure I have a known good dump and the disc isn't the problem) Extract the files from the Redump format ISO with Xbox Image Browser 2.9 build 0350 Use Qwix to turn the extracted files back into an XISO compatible for hard drive loading Split the XISO, if over 4GB, at 4292870144 bytes into two pieces, and name them gamename.1.iso / gamename.2.iso Throw the ISO into F or G, and run the XBMC4Gamers ISO prep script to put them into a unique subfolder, as well as extract the thumbnail and game name and put them into the launcher XBE that actually mounts the disc files and plays them. This gives me 2 ways to launch my games: I can either launch the ISO from XBMC4Gamers, or I can boot into the Xenium menu with the eject button, choose to launch the stock TSOP, boot into the original dashboard, then put the original disc in and play without any mods whatsoever. I have hundreds of games working perfectly this way, but those 4 games won't boot on this Xbox, no matter what I do. If I try to launch them through the ISO loading method from XBMC4Gamers the screen just goes black, then stays black indefinitely. IGR no longer works, and I have to hard power down the Xbox. (The same thing is true if I extract the files to F:\games and try to run the default.xbe.) If I try to launch them by booting into the original firmware on TSOP, waiting for the original dashboard to load, then putting the original disc in the tray, the Xbox changes to the Xbox logo screen, with "Microsoft" below the Xbox logo (aka "I've recognized a legit game and I'm loading it"), and then just stays on that screen forever, without actually starting the game. The only thing that will break out of that is ejecting the disc, which takes me back to the dashboard, or powering off. I've tried clearing the cache drives before loading these. I've also tried deleting the TDATA and UDATA for those games (as well as backing up all of E and wiping it clean). This has me stumped, because: I know the discs are good (dumping with a Kreon matches 100% to the Redump ISO as validated by hashes, plus 3 of the 4 look factory new) I know the disc drive can read games fine, as it can load any other original disc I throw at This doesn't appear to be a copy protection thing, because it happens equally when running EvoX M8+ / iND 5003 and loading an ISO or with stock firmware and loading the original disc, and when loading the original disc, we don't even get past the point where the Xbox logo / Microsoft text beneath it leave the screen to hand control over to the game. I know the Xbox is reading the disc, because if I boot into modded, rename E:\TDATA and E:\UDATA to E:\TDATAold and E:\UDATAold, clear cache drives, then shutdown, boot into stock firmware, put the disc in, let the system hang at the Xbox / Microsoft logo, eject the disc to return to the MS dashboard, and then check the Memory tab, the only entry there (as expected) is the one entry for the game I tried to boot, with its correct picture. I can't find any reports on the restored xboxscene forums, here, or reddit claiming that those games had issues booting for anyone else (though they're niche titles, so maybe no one has tried and bothered to post they don't work?), or any sort of Wikipedia article or the like talking about the games with a section mentioning they have issues loading on certain versions of Xboxes, etc. So in lack of that, it makes me think they should work and there's something else I'm missing. Any thoughts as to why these and just these 4 games don't work, either through ISO loading, extraction to hard disk, or known good retail disk on retail firmware would be really appreciated - I'm stumped!
  5. Please refer to image. I am looking for almost everything in this image. Though I have the 24k so the actual mod chip is optional. -iRuinLunches
  6. In case I want to launch a game in ISO form ran with the attacher default.xbe instead of doing the regular route for game storage, is it possible to get the dashboard to recognize the ISO and list it in the Games section? I did edit the attacher default.xbe with the proper game title but that still didn't show up, neither in applications nor games. Edit: I got it to recognize by putting the folder in my regular F/games folder. I was putting it in a separate ISOs folder but F/games is the only folder the dash seems to acknowledge for the games list.
  7. I have a few big games (> 4GB) ripped from Game DVDs on PC by PowerISO. But I don't know how to split or slice them into smaller ISOs. Does anyone happen to know any method and tools that is able to do that, so that I can FTP them to Xbox and play the smaller ISO directly from Xbox? ** (my xbox DVD ROM is too old to read most CD/DVDs nowadays, not even the newly burned HeXEn DVD) Thanks Peter
  8. Hi, I have managed to load games directly from ISO files without a problem, but today I played Futurama and it doesn't save. I then extracted the ISO and I can save the game and options without problem. I still like to make this work from running it directly from the ISO. Is there anybody who has encounters this and an idea how to fix this? I have used the "XISO to HDD Installer" to create the default.xbe but I wonder if this is a certificate issue of some kind.
  9. Hi all got several Sega games that I just can't get to load from my HDD. most notably Jest Set Radio Future, Panzer Dragoon Orta and Gunvalkyrie. I know they all have an issues with the v.1.6 but I`m using a tsop V.1.4 with an up to date UnleashX as main dashboard. for each game I have tried different sources of ISO's and Redumps but all versions act the same way. the game Freezes on Sega logo (Jest Set) or when loading first level (Gunvalkyrie, Panzer) tried to load them trough different dashboards (XBMC4GAMERS, emustation etc) to no avail. been reading all relevant discussions and couldn't find another example of this problem, nor a solution, so it must be something with my console's configuration. any ideas? some pics of my board and settings https://photos.app.goo.gl/iEzaFfu6n2dcFvgp8 any help will be appreciated, been struggling with this for quite some time now. Tnx!

    Testing an Iso

Hello, Im new to this forum so i hope im in the right place. Im having trouble getting a burned iso to launch on the xbox. Does the abgxxx350 tool work for the og xbox or is it just for the 360? Is there a way I can test an iso before burning it in order to narrow down the problem. many thanks in advance. Id be glad to donate to the site for any advice
  12. Hello i have all the xbox iso classes of 7,641.760gb I tried to extract them with quix and c-xbox tool but it does not extract them, I can extract the iso only with the xbox image browser, but it does extract one at a time, is there any program that extracts multiple iso at the same time? thank you
  13. Can XBOX games be read in RAR format or do they need to be ISO format in order to transfer over by QWIX? OR can they be transfered over in another way to FTP and keep in RAR format and the XBOX can read it?
  14. Hello, just wanna know: how do I check if a certain ISO I have is XISO or normal ISO ? Once I know what kind of ISO it is, how to correctly burn it ? So far, I've burned some installers correctly like Slayer Installer 2.7 and Hexen 2018, on a DVD-R and they work well. But I'm not pretty sure, especially about Dual Layers, which cost a lot, so I don't want to fail the burning you know. Any proper advice answering my questions ? Thank you so much.
  15. Hi, I'm trying to help out a long-distance friend to get their untouched xbox working again. Absolutely no reaction to power on, probably faulty power board, power cable, or maybe the clock capacitor problem. As the xbox is untouched, there's no backup of the HDD and save files are important for nostalgic reasons as well as the ability to replace the HDD in case of failure. The most efficient way is a softmod and backup of eeprom.bin and copying the save files. To get there, you have to go through quite some steps to softmod and access your xbox through FTP. (Doable, probably even easier than what I'm trying to suggest) If modding is not going to happen any time soon, I was wondering if it's possible to make a clone of the HDD by using GhostImage or some other imaging tool to backup the enitre HDD. Would rewriting this image to a new HDD (possibly bigger) make the new HDD work directly as intended? I don't think his PC can host IDE drives anyway, but I was just wondering if this would work.
  16. I have very badly scratched games and want to create backup disks. It took me quite some time to repaid Colin Macree 04 to work on DVD2XBOX - finally after using magic eraser I managed to get the xbox to read the disk and extract the ISO using DVD2XBOX - however - when I went to copy the ISO to my pc - it turns out there is an ISO just over 4GB and another ISO just over 2GB - any idea why there is 2 ISOs? Thanks
  17. Just wondering... as title says, what is the procedure you use and/or prefer to transfer your ISO games to HDD? I see "Qwix" does this, but I also read something about "C-Xbox". Both seem to do basically the same things more or less. What's your experience about this matter? Do you know any other software for this purpose? My OSs are mostly linux based, I have no windows machines, so if something for linux exists I'm happy to hear. However, I can use windows virtual machines. Thank you, have a good day. Sceriffo

  19. please help me i have an error 13 on my xbox and i was wondering if can use a halo 2 iso burnt on a DVD to fix it
  20. Hi! Is there an app for windows that allows extracting multiple ISO redumps for og Xbox? Note that I mean ISO, not xiso, regular extracting apps doesn't work bc those ISO files have more than one layer. I've only managed to extract single file at once, I have a lot of those redumps and it takes a lot of time to extract them.
  21. I just wanted to let you know of this program I found on my search to extract some ISOs that were exact copies of discs rather than xISO. Difference is that in an exact replica, the video layer is also included. These ISOs are the ones that are referenced through Redump. Unfortunately, it is only in French, but it's simple enough to not need any text. Found it here: https://digiex.net/threads/gx-xgd-extract-v00-10-10-xbox-and-xbox-360-iso-extractor-ftp-uploader.11885/ Included it in this post in case the link goes down GX.XGD.Extract.00.10.10.zip
  22. Hi does anyone know how to use this or where i can get the latest cxbox tool from i have to make 3 post to download send me links to [email protected] or here im new lol extract-xiso-2.7.1.tar.gz
  23. I had a copy of the collection of 97 emulators for the xbox from isozone, but my machine died and now isozone is gone:( Am I completely screwed or is there another place to get them again anywhere?
  24. I came across this skin a little while ago and I really like the look of it, but I was hoping someone could help me with the video previews. I have them working, if you move over and click on the game preview, but in the thread below there is come code that enables you to view the previews by just pressing down on the dpad. However I have absolutely no idea where the provided code goes. Can anyone help me out please? https://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3039&start=20
  25. More curious than want to put into practice but after I load a game from disk onto the Xbox Hard Drive, it might be nice to create an ISO as a backup if the game disk fails. I was thinking some kind of program on a PC connected via the network to the Xbox.
