So I had a hard modded xbox from long time ago. I followed the steps and got this img to work on that xbox. So i went out and got a none modded one. Installed a OpenXenium following Mr Mario's youtube video. Then i installed the img onto another hard drive and everything worked beside it would not see drive G. So i tried a few things and nothing worked. But now after i get to the flubber screen. It just goes to a black screen and nothing happens. Am i doing something wrong? I am not doing this to resell these consoles. I wanna give them to my brother / uncle who wants one.

So a day ago I got a 1.6 xbox with x3 (purple) model in it, and decided to flash force480p bios while I am waiting until my 1.4 with xboxhdmi returns from installer. Flashed that bios successfully, but console does not output any video signal. Also, about a year ago I had another 1.6 xbox with x3ce chip, and I do remember that force480p bios worked flawlessly. Anyone knows what the issue could be? Things I tried: Wiping X3 eeprom (a+b+x+y on bootanim) Downloading bios from multiple sources Flashing over various methods (http flash; ftp flash; flash from internal hdd) Flashing on both 1-4 and 5-8 banks Trying with different HD cables (I have component cables and chimeric systems hdmi adapter) Trying on 3 different tvs

Hi! I was looking for unnecessary files on my xbox hardrive when i saw this: I realised that i have dashboard that i don't need. I opened it and saw that it even wasn't EvoX, but UnleashX (idk why). I already have UnleashX, but in different directory (C:/Dashboard). I need help which files to remove that are part of the unnecessary dash (I wanna keep the folders: Alt Dashboard, Applications, Backups, CACHE, MP3, PICS, TDATA, Trainers, UDATA and Video). Hi! I have a softmoded xbox with dualboot (when i click the power button it boots UnleashX, but when the DVD drive is opened - xbmc4xbox). So i want xbmc to be my main dashboard. UnleashX is located in C:/Dashboard, while XBMC is in E:/Alt Dashboard (it's here, so i could boot it, if the dvd drive is opened). Should i temporarily install EvoX and then swap the UnleashX and XBMC directories (xbmc will go in C:/Dashboard and UnleashX - in E:/Alt Dashboard) using the build-in file manager or FileZilla? Or there is some other way to do this?

I have setup the PSX emulator using Rocky5 xbmc-emustation. All the games play great except 4 player games. I can use any controller to select the game I want to play, but once in the game only P1 & P2 work? I can exit to PSX menu pressing down on the Analog stick on all 4 controllers but only player one can move in that menu. this is a 4 player game “ chefs love shack“ but P3 & P4 don’t respond until I quit the game. this only happens in PSX please advice

Hi! I opened my xbox controller s to clean it with 95% alcohol and eventually cleaned the black part (where A,B,X,Y,black,white buttons are) with it. I didn't know it was touch digitizer ;-; After i assembled and tested it, the A and X buttons weren't working propertly. The X needed a lot of pressure to work and the A didn't worked at all. After 2 days the X button worked, but it still needs little pressure to work, but the A is like stone dead. Any suggestions? Are there any pins to short so i can simulate button push and eventually to add normal button to work as A.

So i opened my V1.0 Xbox to do some cleanup and was reading about TSOP, so i got the motherboard out and saw this. The Xbox boots into the Unleash X dashboard and there are no logos or other signs of a modification. The Xbox is softmodded i think, with a 160Gb HDD. I wonder what functions i can activate with the modchip and know for sure if it's working? It seems it's not doing anything. Thanks.

Hi, I have an OG Xbox with an unknow (to me) Mod, it was given to me maybe 10 years ago as it is now. The mod chip has a paper backing with no writing and the other side only has info re: the jumpers (pic), no identifiers that I could find. The boot screen shows XECUTER2 (pic) and the dashboard it goes to shows RemoteX v1.8.2812. It'll play backed up games and had one game loaded to the HDD listed in apps (not games), but due to E: being low on free space I deleted the data files for said game so it is up to over 4GB free now. I tried to upgrade the HDD with a 500GB SATA HDD using a PATA to SATA adapter (setting the jumper as needed) but the system would boot to a service error. I then tried a known good IDE drive which lead to the same error. Unless that is not a mod chip and this is soft modded? I have HeXEn 2018 on DVD, booted to that and tried to install Chimp to E so that I could clone the data to another drive. It installs but when I go to my dashboard I do not see chimp but the files are on E: Any ideas if this is soft modded or is that indeed a modchip? Suggestions on how to proceed in getting another HDD in the system? I don't need any of the data on there, would just like to be able to get the drive in and FTP over some games. Any other suggestions? Thanks for reading!

Hello, so i bought a modded xbox off someone and instantly started messing. I booted up rocky5s dashboard and liked it, i followed a guide to get it to boot into rocky5s dashboard on start up but i clearly did something wrong and replaced the wrong file as it reset and then im stuck on a bootup loop. It goes as far as saying evox in the top left and then resets so i have no time to get into ftp and restore what i did. Could anyone advise me what to do please. As i said i bought if off someone so i didnt mod it myself Thanks

Hello Together, I bought an xbox today and planned to do a softmod. When opening the console to remove the clock capacitor, I noticed that a modchip is already installed. Unfortunately, I can't find any information about this chip. Can you help me further? Can I just ignore the chip or should I pay attention to something? Is it possible to simply install a SoftMod ! Hi guys, So I was given an Xbox 1.0 from a friend that is chipped and has a 120gb HDD. Unfotunately the chip does not have support for HDD larger than 120gb and I am unable to flash the chip's BIOS (evox says it is not flash writeable). I'm basically in a bind to find a guide on how to softmod this box and tsop it from a modchip because I don't know what type of chip it is and how to disable it. I have a Jet Set Radio Future save that I have played around 25 hours in that I would like to be able to play on my console, but I haven't been able to figure out how to resign the save. The save has an "error reading JSRF save data" and doesn't let me use my save. The save originated in Cxbx-R and it won't allow me to move the save to or from the console without this error occurring. Not sure how to proceed from here, and would be grateful if anyone wanted to help me out. I have attached the save if that can help, thanks for your time. 5345000a.zip

Just bought an Xbox V1.0 dirt cheap. It has a switch on the side, on the inside two wires are hooked up to the switch. One goes to ground and the other lead is hooked up somewhere on the underside of the motherboard. Starting to suspect the switch disables a TSOP ... is my assumption correct here?

Greetings everyone. Here's the situation: both my xboxes' dvd drives died. One is a thomson which receives power,but won't read the disks; then there's the philips one which doesn't even get recognized. I have one of those lg drives for pc that can be adapted to work as a new xbox dvd drive, but i miss the yellow power cable to attach it to the mobo. So my idea was to get it from the power/eject buttons. Does anybody have already attempted this and some tips?Is it even possible?(i cannot get ahold of a newcable for experimenting for cheap,so imstuck with this). My idea was to build like a couple of buttons to short the pins on the connectors on the motherboard in order to prompt the power/eject switches(don'tcare about leds, i only care of a good functioning xbox). It has literally been over 10 years since I've played it. One of the bootup screens says "Xecutor2" at the bottom, so that tells me that much at least. My main question is the three (3) dip switches on the front of the console. Someone else installed it for me, and I forget what each of them does. I think that the left-most one controls whether or not the modchip is active; you wanted to toggle that one off if you ever went onto XBox Live, I think. Can anyone help?

A friend gave this modded Xbox but didn't know much about it. I've had soft modded ones. but don't know much about the hard ones myself either. It has a larger hard drive. When you turn it on it gives the 09 error and ring flashes red and yellow. Someone told me that button should be held on the controller when you turn on the Xbox but isn't sure which ones. Would that cause the 09 error? Thanks for any help.

Hi all, I've recently decided to get back into the Xbox scene again after quite a few years. I'd seen that the OpenXenium modchip was one of the easiest and most up to date chips so I bought one to fit into my 1.6 crystal. I decided on using an LPC board instead of choosing a wired install but I found it really clunky, and was having trouble getting it to boot. I decided, after numerous attempts to get things running, to remove the board and wire up instead. I have checked the joints and checked the board for spatter, removing what I can as and when I come across it. I'm now sitting without any modchip, checking to see if it works as stock again, only to be greeted with a frag. No matter what I've done from here has been the same result Could any of you direct me here and let me know of any possible fix. I've taken pictures of the board. Hey guys, Wyverino here I am fairly new to the xbox modding scene. My gf just gifted me an old premodded 1.1 for christmas and I love it so far. I just want to tweak it a little more to make it my hopefully favorite console! Wish all of you guys a happy new year!

My OG XBOX is a version 1.4 and has been TSOP modded and is running INDBIOS 5003 with F & G support. I am using Rocky5's ISO BIOS patcher as the first thing that runs at bootup (DASH1 in IND0BIOS.CFG) to get ISO loading working and that is fine (I used to run UnleashX and needed it, not sure I still need it with XBMC4Gamers but assumed so since I'm using INDBIOS 5003). I assembled the patcher.xbe (named it "XISO Loader.xbe") with it pointing to the dashloader.xbe at C:\DashLoader (renamed from C:\evoxdash.xbe) which, in turn, defaults to my XBMC4Gamers default.xbe at E:\XBMC4Gamers\ directory. I edited the "A" .cfg that resides within the C:\dashloader directory to point to the Enigmah PAL/NTSC app in my E:\Apps\ directory in case I want to switch video modes. All of that works great. I can boot to XBMC4Gamers by default or hold "A" and get to the Enigmah video switcher to select PAL or NTSC. Fantastic stuff! But, now, I am trying to get the dashloader configurator GUI to work for configuring the dashloader button settings and I can't get it to work. I installed the dashboard configurator from the URLDowloader within XBMC4Gamers into my E:\Apps\ directory and that seems to work fine as I am able to run the configurator which loads the settings from somewhere and will save settings somewhere BUT it does NOT really impact the A,B,X,Y, etc. .cfg files within the C:\cashloader\ directory. What am I missing? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Had many xbox's since launch and still have most of them. I've got one away atm having the xbox hdmi mod installed (its not going well). However I've finally decided to join the sata brigade and put a 2tb drive in my bedroom machine. First time i used X3 config to format the drive (F got 137gb and G the rest). Obviously after much time installing games on G: it started wiping itself. I read up, use xbpartitioner to split F and G equally (reduce size down on each by 1gb,64k clusters, reset and then return to max). All seems to have gone well. Only problem is DVD2xbox says that F has only got 128gb and G has 1.7TB. I checked xbpartitioner and shows up correct. Before i spend days installing my discs again, what have i missed. Finally, i can't believe all this love again for the OGxbox. I was gutted when xbox-scene vanished, as i loved to see the creativity of case/hardware mods etc. It all seemed to vanish with the 360.

I've been trying to TSOP flash my 1.1 XBOX. I've successfully soldered the proper connections on the motherboard (not easy with a soldering iron that doesn't have adjustable heat levels). But for the life of me, I can't get HeXEn to burn to a disc. I've tried 3 different computers and used up 5 DVD-Rs. I've been battling with this Xbox for months now, and I'm sicking of pouring all this money and time into it without any results. I know it's silly to ask, but is there any way that someone could mail me a copy of HeXEn on a disc? I will more than happily pay for the mailing costs of it (shouldn't be that much anyways). I just want to get my Xbox back in working order again so I can finally store my games and play them. If anyone would like to help me out, please shoot me a message and we can arrange details. Also, there's a program that checks if you've properly soldered the connections on the motherboard, right? If someone has that, the same arrangements can be made (preferably both discs from one person). Hopefully this request isn't out of line. I'm just really tired of this thing not working for me.

Hi I bought a classic Xbox that has a power problem. The seller told me he had mistakenly connected the console to a 220V source. the type of PSU is Foxlink 1-row. Unfortunately, 4 pieces on the power board are apparently damaged, and I do not know the name and capacity of the two electronic pieces. Also, I could not recognize the value of a resistance due to the color change. I put some pictures of these pieces .If possible, please guide me to identify these pieces. Thanks

samsung may be some of the best at reading disks but they are the worst at getting stuck trays. if changing the belt doesn't make the disk tray function correctly then what should i try next?

I'm trying to play Brute Force using the Cxbx-Reloaded emulator, I have the default.xbe file, but when I try to start the game, a popup window shows up and says 'Unable to determine default xbox backbuffer'. 1; What does it mean? and 2; How do I fix it.
