My v1.1 xbox has distortion in its video. It looks like 10 vertical rows of pixels all horizontally shift to the left by about 5 pixels. It's difficult to catch on camera but I've attached 2 photos. In one photo, you can see the pixel shift right in the middle of the letter D on the left hand side of the screen. In the other photo, you can see the same distortion right in between E and F on the left hand side of the screen. It doesn't look as dramatic in these photos as it really is. These vertical distortions appear all over the screen with about 5 or 6 happening at any given time. I replaced the five 1500uF capacitors in my xbox, and that did not help it. This distortion happens when I use the official HD component video adapter. It also happens when I use the Chimeric systems HDMI adapter. It seems like the distortion is not caused by external cables. I tried cleaning the video connector contacts with isopropyl alcohol. Does anyone know how I can fix this or further troubleshoot the issue?

Yep very easy from the UnleashX dash, in fact more correctly the UnleashX file explorer. It has built in FTP client. You simply connect the two Xboxes with a cross-over cable, make sure both are set to Static IP typically 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.1, and start both. You can use either as the host if each Xbox is connected to a separate screen or by a different cable to the same one. If UnleashX is not your main dash launch it as an app instead. Whether the other Xbox needs to be running the UnleashX dash too under such circumstance I do not now - never tried testing that. Just go to the file explorer bring up the context menu (White button) and scroll down and you'll find a new option to connect to any attached Xbox. There's a simple FTP connection menu where you can store the details of the machine you're connecting too for future use. The rest of it is fairly self-explanatory and if you're used to UnleashX's outstanding file explorer the operation is almost the same as normal except the right hand half of the file explorer is the other Xbox. I'm sure you can do this all though your router with everything set to DCHP too like any other PC networked devices but that may or may cause router, FTP Client and firewall problems. So, IMHO, unless you're going to be doing this regularly its not worth the effort of blocking an only occasionally used LAN port - FTP direct between the two, nice and simple. Its not that fast (understatement) but it'll get the job done and rarely disconnects in my my experience. I use this quite often as I have a chipped primary Xbox (v1.6) and I like to mirror the key folders/files and other important backups on that to a v1.1 softmod I use mostly just for that purpose.

You do end up with less files to move around. But the trade off is that you donˋt have access to your game files and canˋt modify the game directory in any way. Also, theres the extra step of mounting the ISO, and the process of unmounting and remounting whenever you want to change games. Itˋs like automatic transmission or Mac ownership to me: Iˋve never understood the appeal. It offers convenience with the sacrifice of control... Although Iˋm sure lots of people disagree.

yes. There's most likely one or two more 3300uF caps in the region that need to be replaced too even if they are not bulging at this time.

Use multiple of these adapters and every tenth has a problem, but that's fine for me... everytime I order 5 I get 8-10... most of the sellers put few more adapters into the box than ordered.

V1.6 Xbox it’s the scrambled screen bug. There is a script included with XBMC4Gamers to fix these problems games. black button > setting > skin setting > script > XBMC4Gamers extras > 480p game loaders. use the auto mode to scan you games for problem games and they get auto patched. made it simple to use.
