Why is the new cerbios - bios named "hybrid" and is it safe to flash to the aladin chip

I believe because it works for 1.0 - 1,4 and for 1.6...

But I may be wrong, I'm sure.

Thats the thing with believing and reason why I stopped believing in god. God has no damn NFO but cerb has. Reading that NFO can make ppl smart or at least smarter.

So the geart shared wisdom in that NFO tell us retail/debug hybrid. On the other hand though, I assume it's more like "It works for n00bs and pros alike". Pick what insults you less.

Its named 'Hybrid' because it will work on all Xbox revisions from 1.0 - 1.6.

Sweet informed me that it is because it is both a retail and debug bios.@SylverReZ I was corrected none too subtly. He was brutally colorful. lol.

On second thought, its also for Retail and Debug units all-in-one.

There used to be separate versions for debug/retail. Then with version 2.03 they combined both into one BIOS and added more settings in the config file to support this. The NFO file for 2.03 refers to this new combined version as "hybrid".

In v.2.1.0 they added support for v1.6 Xboxes.

Why was that ever an issue, anyway? Why were there separate bioses for 1.6 consoles?

If anyone is affiliated with the Cerbios team here, then can you please bug them for fixing the 1.6 Video Color/Quality issue for 1.6 revs? I really would like to use this Bios for Box.

Make a new thread about it. This is about WHY Cerbios has 'Hybrid' in its name.

I'm aware of that but the problem is I don't really have any other means beside Composite to use my XBox. Plus I really just wanna use it on my CRT.
