For the Xblast aladdins, BT does not need to be tied to ground.

If you check the info in the listing I have for these, I recommend just tieing D0 to ground on the xbox and not using the D0 pad on the aladdin as it tends to be unreliable.

It looks like you have d0 grounded on the xbox here. Try removing the bt to ground wire on the chip.

if d0 is grounded, it's normal for it to frag if there isn't a chip plugged into the pinheader.

I do test each one of these before shipping but it's possible something happened in shipping. If you can't get it working I can swap it out for you no problem

Will tying the BT to ground cause a malfunction like fragging? I've had the D0 on the chip and on the motherboard; I've had it all over. Lol.

Yes I understand that D0 triggers an LPC load, whether there's something there or not! :)

ill remove the bt connection.

Thank you very very much for responding and giving your two cents. If I can't get this chip the boot then I'll ask for a favor from you. But I've tested my wiring with continuity and the rebuild is solid.

I have one last problem: The xblast menu ignores my power button preferences as far as which bank to boot. I'm assuming that this is because the Aladdin is not wired to my front switch panel. Correct? Whether I press power or eject, it just boots to XBlast. @ModzvilleUSA @KaosEngineer @lopenator @SS_Dave

My Xblast is not connected to the the front panel and it will boot to the preferred bios with the eject button and Xblast menu with the Power button

Cheers

Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

Is a preferred BIOS bank set in XBlastOS's settings?

Well, I set it to boot from the 256k bios bank when the power button is pressed and then from x blast when the eject is pressed. It does neither. Well it will boot from xblast, but only because both buttons default to xblast. Lol. Did I skip a setting? I would think that if it's set to boot a certain bios if a certain button is pressed it would just do it regardless of anything else. Am I mistaken in that regard? @ModzvilleUSA
