Recently purchased a Xbox pre modded. I thought it was soft modded but upon Futher reading it was hardmodded due to this appearing when booting the console. I stupidly yesterday tried to FTP rocky5s softmod upgrade thinking my console was softmodded. I'm unsure if it's a TSOP flash or a mod chop waiting for screw drivers to arrive from eBay now. If it was TSOP flashed is there anything I can do as after running the softmod upgrade from jrocky5 the console won't power on or make a sound to even power on. Nothing happens I still have the original Xbox HDD the console came with. The guy I bought it off gave it to me.

Is there a way, to copy files from one Xbox to another, without the need to FTP? Seems to me like I’ve done it in XBMC before, bu I don’t remember.

So after I pieced together some old XDK units I have become excited about the original xbox again. This got me to thinking what would the "Ultimate Xbox" include for you? If you had a custom case to include it all what would you include?

Hi Team, So i have this working just fine, it has downloaded and installed 90% of the artwork. There are however some games it wont do it for. I have tried and tried for hours to do it manually, but cant seem to figure it out. i have added files individually like icon, fan art etc etc but it wont pick it up. Is there a way to set them manually??????

I thought it might be nice to have a thread so you everyone can show off their custom xbox's and list their mods for others to admire. I'll start with a few of mine: The white slim one had an LCD-MOD and LCD-CON to allow the lcd plus an led fader deluxe from sickmodz, custom made jewel with led ring and internal dvd dongle The red/black one was my first modded xbox, pretty basic tsop box The blue one was a media streamer with internal wifi dongle, internal wireless controller dongle an X3 and X3 lcd and rgb leds The other one is my xbox mini with internal wifi, laptop hard drive, pico psu and internal dvd dongle mod plus 128mb ram and 1ghz cpu motherboard from trusty The last one is my current X3 box with X3 lcd and pro switch, internally it has a 2tb drive Feel free to post yours

My Xbox always gets stuck when the Microsoft logo pops up below the big Xbox logo in the center of the screen. How could I boot into the dashboard? I softmodded it in 2012 and could've easily messed up somewhere. Games and unofficial DVDs work just fine, luckily. Thanks in advance

So this is my struggle, I bought a japanese Sega Saturn model 2 more than a year ago. The power switch on it came completely destroyed. No refunds for me, because it wasn't the seller fault, etc. After 1 year of procrastinating, I tried to fix my Saturn. And believe it or not, I found the part I was looking for to fix the power switch!! I could not believe it, because I live in Chile, near the south pole, and an old tech geezer had the part I was looking for! I was so happy! I fixed it, so I thought, but I came down with the reality that now the PSU was completely dead. Aesthetically the PSU is perfect!! Nothing blown, nothing cracked, and nothing corroded. I already tried to fix it with the help of a great guy on Reddit, but to no avail. So here it is my idea, could anyone in this wonderful community spare with me a Saturn PSU? A PAL 220v PSU hopefully? I have in my possesion three 220v OG Xbox PSU's and one 110V American OG Xbox PSU. I could give any of those PSU's in return for a PAL Sega Saturn PSU, my PSU's are perfect and all working great! My best regards to everyone! You have always been great to me. Hector Hidalgo.

Hello everybody, i got a Xbox 1.1 with Xecuter3 chip installed (soldered, purple one) here. It comes with a power and a component cable. The compontent cable was made by myself (3rd party plug + og sd-av cable) and does not show any noise (no ghosting or etc., refer to pictures). In addition the package includes a Duke controller and a controller s. Everything is in very good shape and works perfectly, only the Duke's cable insulation got a little bit loose that does not affect the the functionality in any way. I did also some refurbishment: - Clock capacitor was removed - mobo's top side was cleaned with spirit (94% alc.) - fresh thermal paste was applied on cpu and gpu - the jammed Samsung DVD-drive was replaced with a Philips DVD-drive. - installed a Samsung 400gb HDD (HD400LD, IDE) with coinops 8 massive and 80+ xbox games pre-installed (total of over 4000 games) This package costs 450 € + shipping fee (via PayPal, shipping from Germany, EU only). Hello everybody, I've been reading the forums for a few months, and I have to request something that is very dearly to me. It comes after the small intro. I have a previously modded Xbox OG, but I failed I reckon and it only boots the official bios now. I want to thank my dad for showing what gaming was back in 1994, and purchasing me a Dreamcast in 1999 and the Xbox in 2002...Nostalgia Highway to Memories Camp... So : The Year is 2020, and now I want to have a definitive ultimate version/edition of my Xbox that've kept for almost two decades. I've seen CPU, RAM, DVD reader and belt, capacitors, IDE/SATA cables replacements or upgrades, the HDMI mod and the GPU overclock. This all made me have fantaisies, I am too little knowledgeable about the electronics modding and skills. Basically I am searching for someone that can mod my Xbox and upgrade the specs. I am living in the area next to the Border between Switzerland and southern Germany. I don't know what are the exact component bust my requirements is to be able to at least play games with patched .xbe for the DLCs(that I purchased back then, looking at PGR2 and SWBF2)(I still have all physical games with me) and 720p patches as well as some N64, PS1 and Dreamcast emulators with HDMI output (I have the Scart Advanced Pack & HD AV Pack imported from US). I have two Xboxes. One is a v1.1, the other 1.6. Both have a 500Gb HDD. Everything can be cleared and wiped. Softmod must be anyway. The purpose for my Xbox is to be the Leisure Room console with couch/cabinet setup. It hasn't a commercial purpose. A typical scenario is : I want to show my friends old gems and just play from time to time with my brother who shared the experiences with me (I am the elder brother). So it has a purely gaming use of OG Xbox games and Retroarch emulator. As well as maintaining tools for archiving and updating I am confused, it's true, about modchips having only used softmods. A Modchip is a hardmod right ? Which Modchip is the most developer or last updated? I am thinking about the Xecuter 3 and X-Chip ones after looking through the 4th Gen comparison chart in the forum here. I always wondered why people would use many launchers and different OS, with different features like remote media or other networking services? I don't want to have too much things. It must be pretty straight forward for gaming : clear, quick and clean. Hi, my precious modded Xbox is a UK device and I have been working on the basis that the PSU is 220v only and will need to be replaced with a 110v supply. Can anyone confirm that this is the case - if it can handle multi voltage then that would be a great surprise. Obviously if I need to replace the PSU thats fine - would anyone have any tips / pitfalls I need to be aware of?? Cheers

Hi; i would like to flash a 1mb bios to my 1.1 xbox. I downloaded truhexen disc and it only allows the option for xecuter modchips. The modchip i have is unknown. Could someone please assist?

Hi all! I think I'm in the right place. First bought this awesome console back in May 2002 as a gift to myself for finishing college (4 years late but I finished!) Became a big video game fan on and off ever since. Having this in 02 made me buy a PS2 as a birthday gift that summer. I'm a Sony and MS game console guy. Just recently picked up my OG Xbox from ebay and now I watched some videos to take it apart. I got a 1.6 and wanted to check how its guts look. I want to post pics to get opinions or a diagnosis from you experst if I should go any further with taking it apart. It's playing fine and hooked up to my 1080p Vizio via HDMI. Just a simple dark theme take on Rocky5's XST theme, since it was my favorite theme aside from the fact that it burned my retinas at night. Hello, I recently decided to mess with my recently purchase Xbox 360 development kit and i am having some trouble. I would like to get it set up to Xbox neighborhood and play debug games on it but Xbox neighborhood cant seem to find my system. If possible, could some one walk me through how to set up Xbox neighborhood, how to use it, and finally how to load debug games to it. just to clarify, my system is not a JTAG or RGH, it is an official dev kit so i dont know if the process between the two is much different. Good morning, guys. Would it be possible to have an xbox with 2 hdd by eliminating the dvd player? For example: Eject button dvd= hdd1 Power key = hdd2. Are there any tutorials or guides to make this change? Thank you all.

Hi! I have a topic to start. I'm already happy with my og Xbox upgraded with another 64mb of ram, but I would love to have it modded with 1.4 Ghz Tualatin. My console inside is 1.0 revision motherboard and was manufactured in Hungary, it is also modded with dual tsop and xblast. Do you know if somebody is still doing that upgrade? I've already PM'd to N64 freak but I'am waiting for his reply, so meanwhile when I am waiting for that reply I decided to find out if there is someone else for that job besides of that, I've read that he is only doing 1 Ghz, not 1.4 Ghz anymore - but I already have two proper tualatins so maybe I'll convince him. The only other person I know that was doing this is Trusty but I don't know where could I contact him. My soldering skills are very little, that is why I'm looking for somebody.

please help me i have an error 13 on my xbox and i was wondering if can use a halo 2 iso burnt on a DVD to fix it

Hi I have a PAL 1.6 xbox that I've recently rebuilt the LPC, added a Aladdin xt+2 modchip to and upgraded the hard drive with a larger 2tb. the system runs fine in SD via the standard AV cable (RED/WHITE/YELLOW lead) once I switch the console over to NTSC video settings and reboot the console with a component lead it switches to 1080i or 720p fine but will randomly reboot. Has anybody come across this before and know a fix? Thanks in advance
