  1. Hi folks, Thought I'd share a pic of a nice Newhaven Display OLED which works nicely with the OpenXenium for me. I just used the Arduino Pro Micro but not on the spi2par2019 board, since it's oled (no backlight etc), plus it's no use anyway since oled has a 20 pin varied connector that doesn't match obviously. You need to be careful setting the pins up. It's using the same hd44780 parallel 6800 4-bit interface (not i2c) - I just set the oled using jumpers soldered on the back as per pdf. I added the initialisation code into the .ino and changed some of the hd44780 commands up as well. You also have to edit the liquidcrystal library too - bit of a faff, I'm no coder but managed in the end after a week. You can get it on Mouser etc, different colours. Ugh it's £22.80 plus the vat though Rough first youtube vid on ipad - turn up volume.

The chip is pre flashed with Cerbios UDMA2 on the 256kb bank and Cerbios UDMA5 on the 512kb bank. XBlastOS is version 0.60. For the LED you can choose between : Green, Blue, Red, Yellow and White. Optional you can get an HD44850 display (Blue or Green) like shown in the pictures. Cut to size to fit like it should without losing controller ports 3 & 4 (A full frontpanel would also be possible). Price 35,- €uros for 1 or 90,- €uros for 3. Payment through bank transfer. (So this offer is probably only for EU users of interest).
  3. Since I didn't have found a topic for this I createt this one just to talk and show of some things. So, we all know that the HD44780 2004 version is a little big. Little me read a lot and found some ppl. cuting the bottom of. Yeah, I also did one of those and removed the controller ports 3&4 (Who has 3 frinds anyway?). I like the look with the 2 ports removed ( Picture : Click me softly ) but no one ever has cut of the top or at least, I didn't found any infos about that. So brave how I am I grabed my mighty cuting tool and wuschhhhh, 1 finger gone cut of the top. Soldered some cables to the vias and what can I say, You can totaly do that: Some of the pictures which I have taken incl some notes : https://imgur.com/a/SxdDdcA Full Picture Pack DL (31.46 MB) : https://1fichier.com/?uiz9bwiv6xdiwq1ylog9 And some thing else. How it looks, the green displays are slightly better as the blue ones. How ever, maybe some search the info and this one can help him a little. EDIT: And excude the horrible trace soldering. It was just to see if it would wörk at the end so didn't want to win a price with it.
  4. Hi, I’ve been trying to fix an Xbox which used to work perfectly. I tried to do the wii to hdmi mod and screwed it up, so put the old av port back on and confirmed all the pins going to where they should go, but it started fragging. I compared it with a working Xbox and found one line across the motherboard giving a strange diode reading of -1.1 or -1.0 when it should be 0.497 (red probe on ground). I’m attaching 2 photos showing a red line where this strange reading is. Any advice would be grateful.
  5. It's a chipped (Aladdin Advance) Rev 1.0 OG Xbox. It's quick soldered (not using the pins, D0 grounded to (https://imgur.com/a/jdytwmN), I removed clock capacitor as well it didn't leak. I tried it without the chip on. Same problem. Put new thermal paste on both cpu and gpu. Same problem. I don't know if it's the modchip or the Xbox is actually broken.
  6. Hi guys, Bought a v1.3 from gumtree just to get into soldering TBH. I replaced the three capacitors near the CPU and removed the clock one too. The box looks like it doesn't have any mods done, and i don't see any corrosion. It does look like it works, as i can eject the disc and it seems to run, but i get no display or audio. I have tried another cable, but with the same result. Any pointers to what i should check? I have ordered a mod chip just in case the bios is bricked, but otherwise i am not sure what to check.
  7. I’m having an issue with the box failing to showing up for my emulators. I have my view mode set to detailed and the art I downloaded came straight from the XBMC downloader. I even checked to see if the files were downloaded into the correct directory. I’m really stumped on this one. I feel like I’m definitely missing something and I can’t seem to find any solutions online. If you guys got any advice or potential solutions it would be very much appreciated.
  8. 55inch visio running thru a Yamaha TSR-7850 is the setup, i just swapped out the head unit as the old yamaha was having issues where the sound would simply cut out and never come back now heres the deal, the xbox is running xbmc4gamers, the gui and all interfaces are displaying at 100% full screen , however the games so far everything ive tested looks "squished" and has "side boxes", ALL settings are set at 720@16,9@widescreen, yet im still getting the side boxes, im not so sure i had this issue with the previous head unit and if it wasnt such a massive PITA to swap them out i would i know on the full mod wii i had the same issue but i dont remember how i solved it....but i know part of the issue required me runing it directly to the tv instead of thru the head unit so what am i doing wrong to only have the side boxes when games are loaded but not when the main gui is running?..a setting im overlooking..but where is it?...or were these always there and i simply didnt notice till today?..whats got me puzzled and confused the most is that the entire gui has no black bars only the games.... im also running thru the newest version of pound link HDMI which after talking with customer service i got a guy to send me out the newest version and the quality has been stellar after the past few months of life changes going down multiple surgerys within the imidiate family and a cancer pop up that resulted in amputation my brains fried i just need some vegitative gaming state without issues
  9. Good morning guys, i bought a ryzee119 OpenXenium chip and installed it on my xbox 1.4. Everything perfect ... I bought the spi2par2019 kit and the LCD display and after I installed it it has the problem that it marks the degrees with the abbreviation aC and not as it should (° C). Has it happened to any of you? Do you have a solution?
  10. The xbox game is Arctic Thunder, here is a picture of the output. Do you think is a TV setting? UnleashX is set to 480p= yes 720p=yes widescreen. I'm guessing the TV might not be switching to normal and stuck on widescreen. Thanks, Joe
  11. I'm trying to set my system start up in 720p. If I go to the MS dashboard from UnleashX menu, change the settings, do a soft reboot UnleashX will come back up in the display settings I've set. If I power off the system and power back on these settings don't save. The only settings that do stick are what I set in the UnleashX dashboard settings. The MS Dashboard reverts back. Any suggestions? Not sure if relevant but: -Using a Pound Technologies HDMI cable -Softmodded xbox using rocky5 migration to sata and upgraded ide cables -Just removed my clock capacitor.
  12. Hi, First time modder here having some issues with the setup after upgrading the hdd. I have a modchipped v1.6 OG XboX and set it up with a 160 GB IDE hdd using the Hexxen 2018 disc. I also switched to a 80-pin IDE cable. The install went well, and I have uploaded games via ftp and can play them from the hdd. I then created a Emulator folder on E:\ and put a N64 emulator there (Surreal64CE B6.0), and the roms in the Roms folder, but the Emulators-'tab' is not showing when starting the XboX. I installed XBMC from the Hexxen 2018 disc, but there is nothing showing under the System\Emulators tab in XBMC. Also the display in XBMC is too large for the tv-screen, and changing the options (Normal/Widescreen/Letterbox) does nothing. The bullet options for 460, 720 and so on in XBMC display settings are greyed out, and I cannot use them. This is also true for the display settings in the XboX Admin/Settings in the dash which shows up when I start the XboX, but I got a correct display after disabling Pal-60. Last, I am not able to set a static IP address when switching from DHCP to static. I can input the new IP, but when I click OK, it still says IP: 0.0.0.0. The display and ftp issues are not serious per se, but I would like it all to be in working order, and not being able to play the emulators is a bummer. I have bought a 2TB hdd, and am currently waiting for a Startech IDE to Sata adapter to arrive, and was hoping to have it all working when upgrading to the Sata disk. My option now is to try the whole procedure again and see, but don't know if it will make any difference... Can anyone please help point me in the right direction to get it all working as I would like? -Thank you.
  13. Dear All, On my 1.4 still soft modded Xbox, I have some issues with screen stretching, I'm using component cables to connect to my tv and enable HD output, and on UnleashedX I have adjusted the screen to fit the edges of my TV, but when I run Homebrew Games the adjustment I have done to UnleashedX Dashboard doesn't apply, all games are zoomed in, making some of the screen not displaying, tried changing settings on my TV changing perspective from 16:9 to 4:3, doesn't work, still zoomed in, is there a normal issue? How can I fix this? Thanks
