Thanks for replying (I didn't get an email notification). I have been reading around this forum, and yes it did seem to me that it has the symptoms of a COMA console, but I didn't see a fix for machines that aren't <v1.1. I have ordered the Aladdin XT Plus 2 - and will see if that will help. Will I be able to flash the original bios if the xbox boots with a modchip? I am using composite cable to an HDMI device, although my older TV does have scart, which produced the same result of no display.

Hi guys, Bought a v1.3 from gumtree just to get into soldering TBH. I replaced the three capacitors near the CPU and removed the clock one too. The box looks like it doesn't have any mods done, and i don't see any corrosion. It does look like it works, as i can eject the disc and it seems to run, but i get no display or audio. I have tried another cable, but with the same result. Any pointers to what i should check? I have ordered a mod chip just in case the bios is bricked, but otherwise i am not sure what to check.
