  1. I'm trying to put together the best collection of Xbox games that will fit on a 1TB drive so I can make a 1TB image to speed up my modding process. I can get 1TB drives much cheaper than 2TB drives and there are really a decent amount of Xbox games that MOST people have no interest in so I figured trying to squeeze everything out of a 1TB HDD would be a fun challenge. I wanted to post this first before I got too in-depth to know if: 1. Discussing something like this would be against the rules? I'm not trying to sell anything nor will I be sharing links to where I got any of the games being discussed. 2. If anyone would be interested in taking a look at what I have so far? I have all the Xbox games available to me on a google sheets document that I have recorded how critics and users have reviewed/ rated them and a list of the top games I have come up with so far to be critiqued. If this or something similar has already been done I'd love to see what someone else came up with and also bash my head against my desk for spending the last 2 or 3 weeks making this spreadsheet when I probably should have posted this first.
  2. Hi There! I have 4 ultimately identical original Xboxes, all with clock capacitors removed, all TSOPed less for one has a Aladdin XT due to a bad TSOP flash, all with a IDE-> SATA, 80 pin IDE cables and a 1TB Drive. The drive comes pre-images with Xbmc4gamers and a variety of content (the drive is nearly full). The DVD drives in all 4 are non-functional and in some cases removed completely. Each console comes with two controllers, power, AV and a IR adapter. The drives have a full backup of everything stored in a folder (eeprom, hdkey, bios dump, etc.) and raindrop installed so you can re-flash with your preferred bios / bios configuration. They are excellent base consoles to get into a modded OG Xbox if say you wanted to put a much larger drive and the newly released bioses. I'm in the US and will only ship to the US at actual cost. I'm asking $150 per bundle. If interested please DM me and I will throw them on eBay (for both of our protections) and we can close the deal! Thank You! Edge-`

  4. I have 2 original XBOXes, one is v1.6 and I'll eventually add a modchip, and the other is a v1.2/v1.3. I finally got around to fix the corroded traces problem on the v1.2/v.13 by soldering 4 wires from a 80pin IDE cable, it looks much cleaner than using 4 stranded wires I added a used 1TB sATA HDD + IDE to sATA adapter + 80pin IDE cable and used Hexen 2018 or TruHexen 2021 (not sure which) which installed fine. BUT... I know the laser will eventually die and I want to have an alternative method of setting up an HDD, so I picked up a 2nd 1TB HDD and tried XBOX HD Maker 2.3 USB beta3, with the batch file modified to make it work with any connected HDD, not only USB. The steps I did were: - ran xboxhd.bat, option 2 (Launch xboxhdm), then within QEMU, option 1 (Build a new Xbox HD from scratch) - did NOT format partitions because it outputs "Error: out of memory" when formatting F: and then scrambles the entire output and menu, instead I went with option 3 (Format extended partitions on Xbox drive) + 4 (F and G splits space evenly), then 2 (Rebuild C-partition on existing Xbox-drive). When booting the XBOX with this HDD I get a blinking orange light and nothing on screen after the initial boot logo. If I use Hexen to install a Dashboard it works fine, so I know the HDD is correctly partitioned and formatted. The batch installs some files on the C drive, maybe these files are not the correct ones for a TSOPed XBOX?
  5. Hi guys, I recently discovered all the cool stuff everyone has done on the og xbox. So Ive tried to join in. I formatted the 1TB drive and used indbios4.67 on a a hard mod old aladdin advance chip. Used boxexplorer 1.3 and had working on unleashx, but now f: drive is gone. I ftp games possibly more than 120gig. The f drive was setup to 920gb or what was left at 64 no ER, I followed a 2tb video on youtube to get full drive showing. When i open boxexplorer its still there. Does anyone know what might fix it ? Should I reformat and speard to g drive ? Any help is appreciated.
  6. Not sure whether this is a Chimp 261812, HDD, BIOS or other matter. I've not used a 1TB HDD with a Xbox before, largest size I've used is 500GB and I've had no problems with Chimp 261812 formatting the extended partition(s). Well today I decided to build a new Xbox HDD using a recently purchased ITB WD AF SATA HDD for use in a chipped Xbox by using a TSOPed Xbox and Chimp 261812 (v1.0). I've done similar things in the past when I couldn't use an installer disc because the Xbox did not have a working DVD drive. All went well and worked perfectly except the formatting of the extended partitions. I elected to have all available space for F but after I'd cloned the existing 80GB IDE 2.5" HDD, BTW just C and E, I was asked again how I wanted to partition the available free space. I checked the Slave ITB HDD's status and the partition table showed the remaining space equally split between F and G about 450GB each. WTF? So I redid it, choosing all F again, but still with the same result. The custom EvoxM8+ BIOS I used for the TSOP is set up for all free space to be used by partition 6 (F) and not to ignore the partition table. So I exited Chimp and used Rocky5's XBPTableWriter to reaffirm all free space goes to F. Went back to Chimp, this time with the 1TB as Master HDD on the TSOPed machine and checked. It was still showing equal split F and G so again I tried reformatting to use all F but still no joy. Long story but I eventually gave up on Chimp and went to XBPartitioner v1.3 and very quickly had the thing formatted to use all the space to F with the correct cluster size (64K) for the 950+GB F partition. So any ideas why Chimp might have been unable to do that?
  7. Hi again Following up on my previous post about mt ram upgrade. Ive ran into another issue. I have installed a 1tb HDD. Prior to upgrading my ram I had already formated the with F partition taking 120gb and G partition taking the rest of the space. I have filled F partition with xbox games which has taken quite some time. Ive now realised that IND-BIOS 5003.67 will not read G partition. M8 bios will read the G partition but then i wont be able to take advantage of my extra ram. From what Ive read it is to do with how my G patition table is written. If this is the issue, is there any way I re-write the partition table without disturbing the data?
  8. Just a quick summary of my situation: My xbox was running OpenXenium with a 1TB HDD that was filled with content. I ruined that v1.4 motherboard trying to do an install, so scrapped it. I purchased another v1.4 motherboard as a replacement. (This motherboard replacement also came with a paired OEM HDD, btw). What is the best way to get that 1TB HDD working with this motherboard? I tried running it with OpenXenium, but get Error Code 6, which I believe refers to unlocked HDD (so I must not have unlocked it previously). Is there anyway I can salvage all of the data on this 1TB drive? Or will I have to reformat it for this motherboard and start over again?
  9. I recently upgraded my HDD successfully to a 1TB HDD. Set everything up with Hexen. Made sure my F partition was setup with 64k cluster size. Yet now almost halfway through my F drive being full, i can no longer copy files successfully to that partition. Whether it be via FTP or the file manager on the console itself. I get no errors via FTP, all i see is that it changes to passive mode, but nothing actually copies. I do get an error with the file manager, its just an error number. Doing some research it seems that it would be the cluster size of the partition. But i checked with xboxparitioner 1.3 and it is indeed 64k. I am going to copy off my data, and reformat the partition, verify all my settings again, but curious if anyone has any idea to what the issue can be? I hope its not a faulty drive as it is brand new. Thanks in advance!
