Rocky5 shadowboot fills up C drive, prevents debug dash install

I'm trying to install the debug dashboard on a Rocky5 softmodded Xbox (v1.2). Getting a black screen, probably because of the ShadowC that Rocky5 uses.

I've tried copying the debug dash files to the real C drive but it seems that I've run out of space. The shadow C file is around 500MB so there's hardly anything left. Should I just delete the shadow file? Or will that brick it? If I keep a backup can I somehow restore it if I brick it?

P.S. I've replaced the original HDD with a 1TB drive (using a SATA adapter). I did not null the key but I gave a backup of the password.

I don't normally say anything regarding the above because if someone does it wrong you end up with a semi bricked Xbox.

But yes remove it, but you will need to do 1 more thing. If you can figure that out then you should be golden.

Am not saying what to do as others will arse up their installs trying to change stuff that doesn’t need changed. (Experience)

I would leave debug stuff alone until you get a modchip. If you stuff up your c drive on a softmod you are screwed. With a chip it’s totally fixable.

Then, sorry if this question is stupid, but if I f**k up my C drive, can't I solve this by connecting the HDD to PC and restoring a working copy using FATXplorer?

Yes, IF you have a backup of the EEPROM.bin file from your console or the HDD key. I believe the HDD key is changed as part of Rockys softmod install to all 1's but im not 100% sure on that (I'm a modchip only user now).

You will need to use the HDD key or EEPROM backup with FatXplorer to unlock the HDD before you can do anything with it on your PC and then you will need to lock it again when you are done, a sofmodded console will not boot with an unlocked HDD.

Rockys keeps your stock key, but it does backup your eeprom during the softmod install. Nkpatcher Settings is installed by default and the key is changed there, if desired.
