I cant seem to get this one working. Installed header and I have tried wiring D0 to GND and D0 on the Aladdin but I get a FRAG. 1st mod chip gives me FRAG when using GND or D0 pad. 2nd mod chip give FRAG when D0 grounded but boots stock dashboard when connected to Aladdin D0 pad. BT point on Aladdin is grounded.

Did I miss something?

The underside of the header, if you please. We saw everything except what we needed to. 😛

Edit: I'M STUPID. Lol. If you could take a picture with all the pins present on the underside, it would be more complete. :) @ganjo

Yes, a couple of the pins are looking mighty empty. It looks like you are trying to avoid excess, but it's better to have too much than too little, as long as there is no bridging. Add some solder there

are you sure that ground wire is connected to the D0 on the modchip? looks to me like it's connected to the X portion???

additionaly one of the pinheaders are sloppy soldered. but it probably has ok connection.

Indeed, D0 is clearly marked on the top of the chip, but D0 should still work when grounded.

Please explain which pin header looks sloppily soldered?

I would have updated this yesterday but I can only post 2 times per day.

I finally got it working. I forgot to ground the RT line on the second board I tried. I am now having other issues.

I can ONLY run evox dashboard. Ive installed and reinstalled all dashboards multiple times and it just hangs at the boot logo if I use anything other than evo. Yes, I used the tool to change the default dashboard each time.

Im trying to re-flash this card as it was built without LBA48 support. I created a bios folder on every drive and put the bios in it and when I go to the flash bios option nothing shows up. Can I use the flashing tool in the xbox soft modding toolkit ISO or is there a better one? I do have a eeprom programmer if needed.

Its take 2-3 boots to get video displayed after its been unplugged from AC power. No signal on TV 1 or 2 times then the dashboard finally boots. Holding the power button changes nothing and neither does using the eject button.

Not sure if this is another issue but half the time I boot the dashboard shows BIOS : Unknown, it does show kernel version 1.00.5838.01

Is there some special way to burn AID? I've tried with and without adding in the addon packs but it never boots or runs. Xbox soft modding tool, slayers, hexen all worked fine.

I've seen various people say you HAVE TO use a 80 pin IDE cable with SATA disks but mine works fine with a 40. Will I run into some problems later?

Is there any advantage of using an OG Xbox over a corona/trinity RGH Xbox 360? Seems like an endless list of problems so far and I havent even gotten to ripping or playing games.

I hope I got in all my questions I can only respond once today.
