I'm kinda new to this forum and was wondering if someone has managed to mod a cable to incorporate both HDMI and Optical SPDIF? I own a softmodded Xbox but would like to start improving it bit by bit, and what's first on my list is having both HDMI and Optical Audio (Coaxial would work too)

Hi, it's me again with another weird problem So, my friend gave me another Xbox with the following issue. When I plug in the power cable into the Xbox, the fan speed jump for about 4x highest than the normal (why it is turn on???). When I power up the Xbox, that is goes to normal speed. If I turn it off, than the speed jump to high speed again... There is no any corrosion and the capacitors in good condition... The Xbox is in original state. There is no modchip or softmod or TSOP flash. Thanks for your help!

Hi Mates, I met the following issue, I try to explain everything... I'm totally lost in space, so I hope, you have some idea what happening... So, first, what you have to know: - I've got an xbox classic v1.6 without video and sound output. - When opened it, I found a MuppetX modchip in it. My friend inform me, he try to flash this modchip, but 1MB always gave an error message "mismatch bios size", so he flashed it with 256KB bios. That was the mistake of him, so the modchip never works again... (The LPC Chip is 49LF020A, like in Aladdin) - I flashed it with USB Programmer with many types of bios.bin, tried 256, 512, 1024 evom8+ for v1.6, I tried everything to use it again... But the only working solution was to flash it with 4*256kb = 1MB XBlast OS bios. But when I use XBlast NET bios flasher (cause I can't use any other way, just USB programmer), the flashed bios never works. - I checked all capacitors and all of them is in good conditon... I checked traces and all of them in good condition. - When I push (more than 5 sec) the power button, the xbox started and loaded the XBlast OS. Without modchip (power up with eject or just push power button) there is no video or sound output. If I change the Bank (I do not know is it bank0 or bank1), the Xbox turn off and turn on again... My questions: - Is there anyone who has an original dump of a MuppetX bios? - Which is the Bank0 and Bank1 on MuppetX? - Which BIOS size the correct for that? (As I said, I try 1MB first and all other sizes, but won't work...) - Why Xbox doesn't give video and sound output without modchip? Is it maybe an EEPROM error?... Thank you in advance! Hi all! I think I'm in the right place. First bought this awesome console back in May 2002 as a gift to myself for finishing college (4 years late but I finished!) Became a big video game fan on and off ever since. Having this in 02 made me buy a PS2 as a birthday gift that summer. I'm a Sony and MS game console guy. Just recently picked up my OG Xbox from ebay and now I watched some videos to take it apart. I got a 1.6 and wanted to check how its guts look. I want to post pics to get opinions or a diagnosis from you experst if I should go any further with taking it apart. It's playing fine and hooked up to my 1080p Vizio via HDMI. Hope to talk to some of you and get some direction where to post my pics. Thanks!

Hi All What would a unopened Xbox meaning the carton is unopened so New In Box be worth ?

I had some time inbetwen jobs and thought I would have a go at one of my cheap pickup's. I got 3 for $20 from the local recycle center with the real reason for buying them was 2 of them had Duo X2 mod chips. But anyway can you have too many XBOX"S ? I think not. As you can see it's in poor condition. So after opening it up. And removal of the PCB and Faraday cage. Looks like it's been swimming or at least stored out side. Even the DVD drive got stripped the lazer pickup was covered in a brown film that took several goes to clean off add a new load belt with some lube on the moving part's it's now as good as new. I am suprised the fan could spin. I washed the mother board and power supply in a ultrasonic bath then a scrub with isoprenol alcohol and a brush then I hot air dryed them. And the cases when't in the dish washer on a heavy duty cycle wash. The faraday cage got washed sanded and then a coat of black paint Now a reasemble with new heat sink compound It's up and running now lets fit one of N64's HDMI kits. For the time been the DuoX2 chip is staying but I will flash the TSOP in the near future as well as thinking a RAM upgrade is in order. It's back together for now with a 500gig hard disk. And yes it is the same XBOX all up about 2 1/2 hours work not including the dish washer taking 1.5 hours. I still have another one just as bad plus at least 6 more that are in better condition for when I get time. Cheers all SS Dave The 500gig hard drive has gone and now a 1tb drive in it's place.

I'm after a little help with this. Do you folks have a GOOD link to a Video on exactly how to install a 2TB drive reliably? I'm struggling to figure out the best reliable method on how to do this... Setting up partitions, with what apps etc.. I installed a 500GB IDE in my xbox but it's been nothing but trouble. so I obviously didnt do it the correct way Any help, advice, links or even better for the forum, a post with details, application downloads and images for a walk through. Hello, I recently decided to mess with my recently purchase Xbox 360 development kit and i am having some trouble. I would like to get it set up to Xbox neighborhood and play debug games on it but Xbox neighborhood cant seem to find my system. If possible, could some one walk me through how to set up Xbox neighborhood, how to use it, and finally how to load debug games to it. just to clarify, my system is not a JTAG or RGH, it is an official dev kit so i dont know if the process between the two is much different. I have some OG Xbox DLC I want to install through FTP, where exactly would I put it? I am thinking opening the file for the game and dumping it in there, but that doesn't seem like it would work. Much appreciated!

Hi I have a PAL 1.6 xbox that I've recently rebuilt the LPC, added a Aladdin xt+2 modchip to and upgraded the hard drive with a larger 2tb. the system runs fine in SD via the standard AV cable (RED/WHITE/YELLOW lead) once I switch the console over to NTSC video settings and reboot the console with a component lead it switches to 1080i or 720p fine but will randomly reboot. Has anybody come across this before and know a fix? Thanks in advance

Hello everybody , I just tsop my first Xbox works great but its 8 gig Any tips on how to format my 500 gig drive that came from a old hard modded system, If I just drop it in I get a error code 7. so I dropped in hexen 2019 and turned off the system and rebooted got evox and then it just stayed there and did nothing any tips or video you know about? Hi! Is there an app for windows that allows extracting multiple ISO redumps for og Xbox? Note that I mean ISO, not xiso, regular extracting apps doesn't work bc those ISO files have more than one layer. I've only managed to extract single file at once, I have a lot of those redumps and it takes a lot of time to extract them.

Hi all, when moving house I found my old pride and joy modded xbox. Big hdd, xecuter 3 chip and lcd screen. I fired it up and after blowing of the cobwebs it still looks great.

I have (purchased from a friend) a x3ce modded Xbox that boots into XBMC and it has a 2tb HDD installed. He has about 330 Xbox games in folders on the G partition, and it's running out of room. I have another 300+ games that I would like to install to F and just wanted to see what needed to be done to get all the games from F and G to show when I click the "Games" tab. Is the a CFG file I need to edit in XMBC or am I stuck with 2 separate sources (Games and Games 2)? I hope I explained that well enough. Thanks in adavance.

I have a 3 original xbox consoles. They all work and I love my xbox consoles. The issue that I have is one of them says it is modded with the SmartXX mod chip via a sticker on the outside of the xbox. When I attempt to turn on the xbox, I see what I believe to be a linux version of software installed on it and this doesn't have a lcd or anything else installed on it. I could open it up to see what version of the mod chip is installed on it. But prior to doing that, I have a few questions. Is this xbox no longer usable as a regular xbox? Is there a way to enable the standard mode for the xbox. Without a keyboard that can plug into this, how am I even supposed to use this xbox? Where do you find a keyboard that can plug into the modded xbox, as the controller port is different than usb, etc. Does anyone have the documentation for one of these mod chips? That could help me understand what this does?

Evening, guys. Xbox 1.0 chipmod. I was transferring ninja missives via ftp. Once the transfer is complete the console is restarted, instead of the Dashboard Unleashx well set by me, I find the same dash but as if it had just been installed (no hd, all the menu in English etc etc). The strange thing is that all applications and programs and emulators are not displayed, despite being in their respective partitions and folders. Another thing that happens now is that using XBMC4GAMERS, when I log in to my account, trying to load the games hangs in the loading. Loading evolutionx, the same thing, I don't see any more programs and emulators. Hdd 1tb Dash unleashx in f: Shortly before I had no problem. Help

Good evening, guys, I need help. Xbox Crystal with aladdin modchip I have a 640 gb wd blue hdd. By inserting the dvd to prepare the hdd and install everything, the partitions are always at zero (see photo). In another xbox always modchip, the partitions are seen, but if I insert or copy some files, at restart they disappear as in the xbox crystal. Partition C 0, Partition F:0, Partirion E:0 HELP!

Hi everyone, I am new, and I was searching a forum of xbox modders. I was wandering if I could put two hard disks in my xbox, and I found an adapter that I buyed long time ago, called xdhddxx. Does anyone knows how it works and how I should connect it? I can barely find information on google. I only discovered that it is an ide doubler, and that if you turn on the xbox with the dvd button it boots the first drive, if you turn the xbox with the power button it boots with the other.
