  1. Hello. Does anyone know where to go to get XBOX Save Games (UDATA/TDATA) other than GameFaqs? Note: These are SAVED GAMES for Original XBOX. I’m primarily looking for Racing Games so I can unlock all cars, courses, tracks, etc. Ideally, they would be NTSC version of games. These two sites have a lot of Saves Games but I am wondering if anyone has a collection or another site they can refer? Thanks! https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/xbox/category/999-all https://legacy.downloads.diomtec.com/homebrew/warchives/xbox-saves/
  2. Last year I put together my personally ideal XBox. Decent AV cables, hard-mod, big HDD, quiet fans... all the fun stuff that increased the consoles capabilities and improves the experience. And until last week that XBox was running perfectly fine. However, the console is now completely dead. The PSU is fine, and I tried changing several of the capacitors on the motherboard, but there is simply no life at all. The console just doesn't react at all when the power button (or eject) is pressed. There's not even a 'blink-and-you'll-miss-it' kind of signal that the console is even receiving power. But, like I said the PSU is fine, that was the first thing I tried. And after several hours of replacing capacitors, trying to find the one that may be stopping the power from reaching the console... I gave up and held a respectful funeral for my short-lived friend. Close friends and family attended. Clearly I'm just trying to add some humour there. But when I did finally run out of components to replace I procured a replacement console to start the project again. That console came, and works fine. However, I cannot use the 2TB HDD I had installed in the previous console. I can't remember when or exactly why I did... but I locked the HDD to the, now dead, console. As such no matter what I connect the HDD to, because of the 'lock' the XBox imposed on the drive; I can't do anything with it. The replacement console can't unlock it, or format it. My PC sees the drive and it's capacity, but is unable to do anything with it. I've tried Windows and Linux, as I though the 'brutish' nature of the latter's terminal commands could break the 'locked' state. But, even Linux doesn't work. Replacing the drive isn't all that much, money-wise. However, it would be a shame if this perfectly functional HDD is now reduced to nothing more than an overengineered door-stop. Although not a massive capacity by modern standards; 2TB could still be useful for many things, if there is some way I can 'unlock' it. As I mentioned above the console it was 'locked' with is completely dead. I cannot find any reason why, but there isn't even the slightest of a glimmer of life at all. I don't know what could cause such a state, and it's confusing that it was working fine a few days before. And just for those who go straight for this suggestion... I already took out the clock capacitor. I've done that on every XBox I've ever had in my possession. It's usually the first thing I do upon opening them up. And just to be clear; I am careful when removing them. I don't force them; I do use a soldering iron and take them out with a delicate touch. Anyway... I have just ordered a replacement 2TB HDD. But, if there's a secret way of reenabling the use of the one I have now; I'm sure I could find a productive use for it. However, after trying a few 'suggestions' already; I am not going to hold my breath. That said; I am open to suggestions. I also want to clarify that the PC motherboards I have are unsuitable for running XboxHDM. The only PC motherboard I have with IDE can't boot from USB, and I don't have an IDE optical drive. And the other (which can boot from USB) doesn't have any IDE connections at all. If memory serves me; XboxHDM need to access the HDD via IDE, even when connecting a SATA HDD (via an IDE-to-SATA adapter). So, unless XboxHDM has changed since I last tried to run it; that particular software won't function properly on the hardware I currently have. Also, because the cost of replacing the HDD is so low, I'm hoping to avoid spending too much, if any money on rescuing this 'locked' HDD. I am just traying to be a little eco-friendly in repurposing it if possible.
  3. Hey all, I have a 1.6 aladdin chipped xbox that runs perfectly fine with stock hdd. I received a 1.0 a while back that the original owner had no idea what him and his kid had done to it, as it was so long ago. The mobo is pretty bad, but it had a WD2000 200gb ide hdd in it. So I yanked the hdd out, and threw it in my 1.6. Upon booting with no disk, I was greeted to Error 16. Reboot and I got an Error 13, which is persistent when booting with no disk. When attempting to boot any game, be it official or burned, I get an error 21. I figured it wouldn't boot to anything other than errors, but I have never done this so I was curious what exactly I would be greeted with. I then threw a verified working copy of Hexen 2018 in the dvd drive, where the linux logo and red ring popped up. It usually takes this drive about 30 seconds to load it up, but I am stuck at a persistent loading screen. Downloaded Hexen 2021 and the OGXbox installer disk and the same thing happened. I did, however, manage to get Slayer 2.7 to load up. Slayer is telling me that I have no free space in any of my partitions, and it states the I have an HDD unlock fail. I tried locking and unlocking the drive with no success. I've tried formatting and reinstalling EvolutionX and MS dashboard, and the whole process only takes about 8 seconds, so it's obviously not doing anything. Also my hdd activity light only blinks like twice. My questions is, is the hdd toasted? It's spinning and gaining heat, so I know it's not completely dead. I've never messed with xbox hard drives before so any advice would be greatly appreciated! Sorry for making yet another thread so soon after the last one, I just have a few projects going at the same time and I keep running into issues lol. I swear I'm not trying to litter up the forum lol. Thank you so much for your help.
  4. long story short, ages ago I softmodded a 1.1 machine and naturally locked the drive after upgrading it. shortly after I tsoped it though, and zeroed and password- without backing the original or unlocking the drive. I tried chimp261812 and neither master password (XBOXSCENE and TEAMASSEMBLY) worked. the master password *should* be a string of 32 T (it's a samsung drive) but chimp won't let me input a different master password. there's the hddkey.txt option but it only accepts 16 bytes of hexadecimal characters, unless I'm missing something it's not related to the master password. there's also the linux terminal but I'm not sure what I'm doing here. any ideas?
  5. Hi guys, Now i've done it..don't know exactly how i did it but i did.. First i softmodded my xbox but after that i had no dashboard when i booted. That was strange but after that i put in a new 2tb hdd and loaded chimp and cloned my hdd to the new hdd and after that i locked the hdd... When i put in the 2tb hdd i get errors and i also cant boot hexen or rocky5. Also i can't clone it again. When i put this 2tb locked hdd in a xbox with openxenium i cant unlock hdd and i cant ftp any files on the hdd. Is there any way to save my hdd? Its a new one.. I hope some one can help me. Pease out
  6. Hello, I came across this site while searching for solutions to my problem. I was attempting to upgrade my XBOX HDD to a 1 TB WD SATA drive that is listed as lockable. I followed Mr. Mario's tutorial on Youtube to a T, and it appeared to be successful, however upon powering up with the new HDD in place of the old I get error 07 and on occasion 09. When going back and attempting to use Chimp to re-clone the original HDD to the new drive, the new drive cannot be altered due to it being locked. Attempts to unlock the HDD via the Unlock Slave Drive menu in Chimp do not work, all of which lead to the same screen referencing the password from the motherboard, but changing nothing. How do I unlock this drive? And yes, I have the jumpers currently set to slave, and had them set to master when I attempted to utilize it as the master HDD. Any help is appreciated.
  7. As I mentioned in another thread here I recently bought a 'for parts' Xbox which is giving error 16 but the seller also included another retail HDD, almost certainly not softmodded, which is giving error 6. Pretty sure it did not come from the same Xbox so obviously locked with an unknown eeprom on another Xbox which again, obviously, I do not have. Not likely being softmodded means no master password use possible either. I've looked into methods of unlocking it and either here or on another forum somebody mentioned there are Windows programs that can do this. I'm not bothered about the content just interested in finding out if it can be unlocked preferably, via a USB connection. Any recommendations/suggestions welcome.
  8. I hace a 300gb IDE hard drive that I used in a sodtmodded Xbox back in the day - only realized this evening that it is locked and that I no longer have the Xbox I made it for - is there anyway to unlock it - I have softmodded xboxes lying around - would they help unlock it? Thanks
  9. Hardmod is done on 1.6 but I still have the stock hard drive , should it be locked or is there something I need to do? I have recently install kixxx emulator but have it in apps in the boot dash that hexen installed as I don't see how to put in emulators folder. Works fine just wrong location, how do I move into emulators folder? Still learning how this file system all works.
  10. Hi guys, After softmodding my xbox with the rocky5 method, it is now time for something new: TSOP. I read a lot of inormation and prepared everything (soldered the points on my ST TSOP 1.0), and decided to go for the Hexen 2018 disc and Evox M8 (F+G) bios). After I succesfully modded my xbox, i would like to unlock the stock hdd. I know that after a TSOP mod you can swap in every blank unlocked hdd. But I can't find what kind of utility I need to use to unlock my original stock hdd..
  11. I used chimp program, to unlock a hard drive , but when I try to lock it back up . The hard drive doesn't lock and i get error message. Is there a better way and how . thanks
  12. Here is how to unlock an Xbox hard drive with a program called Hdat2. Software link: https://www.hdat2.com/ Software is in attachment also. It is a Boot able iso. Instructions: I've done a YouTube video showing how to unlock an Xbox hard disk with HDAT2 link here for the program http://www.hdat2.com/This is a WIP, there may be some errors I will try to update the videos and instructions over time 6th April edited YouTube video9th May 2017 v60b4, new YouTube Video and updated instructionsSet up your PC with the Xbox hard disk as Master and the DVD drive as Slave.Set the BIOS to boot from DVD/CD first. When the program loads, be patient it takes a little while Type "HDAT2" at the command prompt.Select the hard disk by using the cursor keys and pressing enter.Scroll down to "Security" press enter.Scroll down to "Unlock device" press enter. Then press "I" to change from User to Master.Pressing "K" will scroll through a list of built in passwords, if you're lucky it'll be one in the list.Xboxes are usually "XBOXSCENE" or "TEAMASSEMBLY" which are near the end of the built in password list.Press "S" to set and then "Y" to confirm.NOTE: You will only get 5 attempts, and then you will have to re-boot, and start again You can also enter a password manually by pressing "P"Passwords can be entered in User mode, but you don't get the "K" option for the built in password list.If you have "zeroed" your hard drive password then 30 HEX is DECIMAL 0.Hopefully the video will show what I mean https://youtu.be/ZnvqxgTJsfoHDAT2 also has other useful hard drive tools to repair bad sectors, erase etc...Have a look at some of the other YouTube videos by other users Video Below: hdat2cd_60b5.iso
