  1. In case I want to launch a game in ISO form ran with the attacher default.xbe instead of doing the regular route for game storage, is it possible to get the dashboard to recognize the ISO and list it in the Games section? I did edit the attacher default.xbe with the proper game title but that still didn't show up, neither in applications nor games. Edit: I got it to recognize by putting the folder in my regular F/games folder. I was putting it in a separate ISOs folder but F/games is the only folder the dash seems to acknowledge for the games list.
  2. Just checking to see if there are any devs that would like to look into any of these games that have the source available. I know some have already been ported to xbox, however there are quite a few that would be interesting to see running. https://github.com/historicalsource?tab=repositories Here is the original thread where I came across it. Thanks to Anthony for bringing it up. https://www.dreamcast-talk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=14362&sid=6ed6fdb2d6b35f40b68765561d4d2f92
  3. Hello. I would like to have a folder on my PC with xbox games and I want to know if it is possible to connect my xbox via internet to the PC with some kind of internet browser and insert a ip or something and copy the xbox games from my PC to the Xbox. I have my console connected to the internet with ethernet cable. I know it is possible to connect both with crossover cable but I am talking if I have my PC on the living room and my xbox on my room. Thanks.
  4. i like to play halo 2 on xlink kai but my vizio 4k tv just makes it not fun. i have adjusted all the settings in the menu to give minimum latency but it's still there. someone pointed out that part of the latency is caused by the fact that the xbox is sending an analog signal to the tv and the tv has to convert it to digital before it can put it to the screen(i know there is inherit input lag in a va panel led tv but that's not what i'm talking about right now). i said all that to ask this question, would one of the hdmi mods for the xbox help solve some of that latency problem by sending a digital signal to the tv? my current setup is using the microsoft hd component adapter and component cables. the tv is a px75-g1. btw, i know it's best to play on a crt but that is difficult right now for several reasons.
  5. Ninja load roms in OK time, but coinops is very slow. Any posibility to reduce loading times? I like coinops, because of its easier interface. Ninja is awesome, but fast scrolling through hundreds of roms is kinda slow.
  6. A friend of mine setup my softmodded xbox hard drive with emulators, games etc and a cool dashboard - I'm just wondering how to clone the drive in order to use it in my spare xbox - I can unlock the drive in HDM V1.9 and there seems to be an option to clone a hard drive in HMD V1.9 as well - anyone tried this or is there another way without TSOP or chipped console? Thanks
  7. Is it possible to attach Xbox IDE hard drive to a windows 7 or later SATA PC and build the hard drive from a softmodded xbox or do I need to find a really old PC? I know I used a Dell Optiplex years ago but I have it away to a mate a couple of years ago and he doesn't have it anymore. If I need an old PC can anyone recommend a specific spec - as I might have to buy one second hand - thanks in advance.
  8. I'm attempting to help someone with their original Xbox that refuses to boot. His family pulled it from storage around Thanksgiving and it powered on but gave error message. Initially I recommend just finding another working unit but this one holds special sentimental value. Turns out belonged to his oldest son who passed away from a brain tumor at 14. Got this as a part of his Make a Wish gift at 12 and played it constantly. So I've done softmod on Xbox, Wiis, and PS3 but never tried a modchip but was thinking that it might be a way to get this thing back up and running. Can this be done or any other ideas? I tore the system down, pulled the leaky clock capacitor, cleaned the board, checked all connections and reassembled but no go. Could use any help with this. Thanks!
  9. So last night I tried to install JCrockys softmod using Splinter Cell but I think I installed it over the top of my current softmod... So originally I softmodded my xbox with JCrockys softmod but I upgraded my HDD... I used heXEn 2018 disc to format and install my new drive which all worked but I wanted to put JCrockys back on because he seems to be keeping all his stuff up to date and when I did the dashboard was failing to load and I could only boot from a disc. Is there a way I can wipe and clean install JCrockys sofmod, if so, how? And will I need to copy over some things to my computer before I continue? FYI its a 1.4 Halo Special Edition Xbox which has been TSOP flashed with EvoX M8+ Custom Bios. I'm completely new to Xbox modding and I don't completely understand the foundations on how all this stuff works yet so I apologize if this is a very easy fix
