Hello everyone my name is Jayson. I'm new to this forum and xbox modding. I hope someone can help me. Issue: I have a Original Xbox version 1.6B with aladin modchip. I installed a 500Gb Western Digital Blue sata HDD. I used Hexen 2019 to initialize the new hard drive. But the partition F: only shows 123 Gigabytes. I'm pretty sure that i set all the storage size to partition F:. While on Hexen interface, drive F: is 400+ gb. But when you remove the hexen disk and let it boot to xbox interface. It only shows 123GB. Anybody have an idea what going on? I also tried hexen 2018. But same issue occured. Thanks in advanced.

I have used xboxhdm23 beta by Rocky5 to create an xbox hdd from scrtach using the nulled eeprom from my xbox. The program also copied over the files for the c drive which in this case are the installer files for Rockys softmod. When i put the drive in the xbox and boot it up all i get is an error 13 (dash error), i have verified that the files are indeed in the c drive on the hdd but the installer (xboxdash.xbe) does not load. Have i done something wrong somewhere? Also, as the eeprom was nulled that was used to lock this drive, in theory this hdd should be able to be installed in any xbox with a nulled eeprom, is that correct??

I bought a 500gb Xbox fully loaded with origins dashboard and games - one game (GTA San Andreas) appears on “featured games” but when I press A the console resets - how do I delete it from appearing in “Featured Games” - or could I add the game somehow as I have the disk? Thanks

I upgraded the HDD in my Xbox to a 320GB SATA using a SATA/IDE adapter and upgraded the cable to a 80 conductor. The Xbox is a v1.0 with a AladinXT modchip. BIOS is iND-BiOS 504.67 (F and G) installed from a Hexen 2019 DVD. I prepared the hard drive using Hexen 2019 and everything works ok except I cant adjust the partition sizes in xbpartitioner. If I understand it right the Extended partitions 6 and 7 in xbpartitioner is for partition F and G. How do I take the space from 7 (G) and give it all to 6 (F)? I tried pressing the A button (and every other button for that matter) and nothing happens. Do I need to change the BIOS to an F only version? if so the only iND-BiOS 504 in Hexen 2019 says force 480p..will that be a problem? thanks

I recently got a green xbox and want to sell my old black xbox. I want to remove the 500GB sotmodded hard drive and replace it with the original 8GB. I know how to do that but I want to be able to use the 500GB drive in my Green xbox - how do I do this? I don't mind formatting the 500GB drive and starting afresh. I have an IDE PC if that's any use. Any help greatly appreciated

I have 3-4 original xbox consoles - If I null the hard drives on all my xbox consoles will I be able to interchange hard drives between each console? I want to clone a nulled drive and put the clone in another xbox with a nulled drive - will this work? Thanks

A friend of mine setup my softmodded xbox hard drive with emulators, games etc and a cool dashboard - I'm just wondering how to clone the drive in order to use it in my spare xbox - I can unlock the drive in HDM V1.9 and there seems to be an option to clone a hard drive in HMD V1.9 as well - anyone tried this or is there another way without TSOP or chipped console? Hi - I have a 500GB SATA drive upgrade complete with Startech SATA to IDE connector and 80 pin IDE cable. However, I still feel my 400 GB IDE xbox loads coin ops games quicker. I bought a new old stock 500GB IDE drive and now I want to clone my SATA drive to my IDE Drive. Is this possible? I could use Chimp or could I use HDM V1.9? I would Prefer to use HDM V1.9 but I'm not sure it would recognise a SATA drive even if it is connected using a Startech SATA to IDE - anyone shed any light on this? Thanks

I successfully created and locked a 500GB IDE Seagate Hard drive using HDM V1.9. I transferred it to my xbox and it gets stuck at the xbox splash screen at start up for ages and then goes to Error 13 - any ideas? (It can take 2-3 minutes for the word "Microsoft" to appear under the xbox splash). Thanks

Hi - I am trying to rebuild an xbox hard drive - I have the eeprom - a meant gave me an old Dell IDE drive - I know HDM v. 1.9 will work on it as I used it a few years ago. Does anyone know where I can get the C and E drive files for the rebuild? Thanks

So I used HDM v1.9 and created a new xbox hard drive (40GB) that works. However, I don't see the extra space when I turn it on - it isn't softmodded yet. I'm just wondering if I should put the hard drive back in the PC and create a F Folder using HDM. Will the F folder naturally partition the rest of the available space on the drive or will the ROCKY 5 softmod make all the extra available space in the E drive? Any advice greatly appreciated.

I have a few softmodded xbox consoles at this stage and I'm looking at buying hard drives to upgrade them. I'm wondering if SATA is slower than IDE even with the more expensive Startech SATA 2 IDE adapter? Is an SSD drive on a par with an IDE drive? Thanks

Hi, has anyone managed to get 2 hard drives working on his xbox? The method that I would like is the one via switch, with the DVD player that continues to work and no bios without dvd ceck. I have already read a discussion about this topic, but those who managed to do so did not post links to the material used or even photos. If anyone has any advice and is welcome.

Is it possible to attach Xbox IDE hard drive to a windows 7 or later SATA PC and build the hard drive from a softmodded xbox or do I need to find a really old PC? I know I used a Dell Optiplex years ago but I have it away to a mate a couple of years ago and he doesn't have it anymore. If I need an old PC can anyone recommend a specific spec - as I might have to buy one second hand - thanks in advance.

I have an old softmodded Xbox with a 2TB hard drive that is loaded. I just ordered a new Xbox that I will be softmodding. How do I move my 2TB hard drive from the old Xbox to the new one? (I want to keep everything that's on the 2TB hard drive) Please keep it simple. I'm new to this whole modding thing. Detailed step by step would be much appreciated.

I have some games that are HDD ready. Can I put them on a USB and copy to my Xbox HDD using file explorer? Excuse my noob......

Hey all. i hope you can help. My 'Project Xbox' (V1.4) which i generally tinker with has an Aladdin X2 running IND bios. All my other Xbox's are either soft modded or have Xceuter 2 installed. I've never tsop'd a console and was thinking that i should give it a go and move the Aladdin X2 off too one of my 1.6's that has been soft modded. Can i boot to dash, pull the chip and then flash the tsop? Assume i have already bridged the 1.4 mobo ready for a tsop flash? ( This box, like all my others has a failed DVD that doesn't read discs. so need to do all this from the xbox itself) And... what software should i flash with? Thanks heaps

have a v1 xbox with a bricked motherboard now. So now I need a way to rescue the game saves off the drive. the xbox had two drives with unleashx , the original 8gb and a 120gb copy. will need a way to unlock it via pc and without knowing what the original password was that i assume the motherboard had

Just TSOP flashed my v1.0 Xbox with X2 5035 because why not take advantage of it since it's a v1.0?. I was wondering does this Bios support drives up to 2TB?

I've recently transplanted my failing and old IDE hard drive to a 2tb expansion with new ribbon cable. Also updated Unleash X to latest build. After I finished this I started to play games like Fight Night Round 3 where you cycle through different character bulids and such.. when customizing it looks like my drive is freezing up. I've also noticed that when trying to play emulation front ends like coinops 8 the loading of some of the larger games like Killer Instinct freeze the system as well. Could the corruption of the old drive follow to the new drive? When I did the system transfer the only items I transferred were the eeprom partitions and saves. I was thinking maybe nulling the drive and then reformatting the other partitions might work? But wanted to see if there are any other suggestions. I've also attempted to launch these in xbmc4gamers but this also causes freezing. Not sure if that should be a separate topic or not.

Ive just upgraded a hard drive to a 250gb from a 8gb in a chipped xbox which has xecuter2 chip installed. but after usung xbpartitioner 1.3 off the hexen disc. I set f::\ partion to use remaning free space..All seems well., even in the hexen main menu it shows that f:\ partition is 240gb. But when i restart xbox in the unleashX dash it only shows 120gb. so show i load xbpartitioner off the hard drive and it show me a error message "LBA48 Info not found! custom partitions will not work with this bios" etc. So now i try creating 2 partions f:\ for 120gb and g:\ 120gb. but again only f:\ shows up with 120gb. do i need to some how update xecuter2 chip or would i be better removing the chip and tsopping the console? thanks

im very new to modding and have only soft modded my xbox but would like to take it to the next level. from anyone who has hard modded there console before is there any rookie mistakes that could be avoided or things to look out for ? bare in mind im nervous just to open the thing up lol . thanks

So ive been trying to clone my original xbox hard drive over to a wd1600aajs hard drive and i cannot get it to work. I'm attempting to help someone with their original Xbox that refuses to boot. His family pulled it from storage around Thanksgiving and it powered on but gave error message. Initially I recommend just finding another working unit but this one holds special sentimental value. Turns out belonged to his oldest son who passed away from a brain tumor at 14. Got this as a part of his Make a Wish gift at 12 and played it constantly. So I've done softmod on Xbox, Wiis, and PS3 but never tried a modchip but was thinking that it might be a way to get this thing back up and running. Can this be done or any other ideas? I tore the system down, pulled the leaky clock capacitor, cleaned the board, checked all connections and reassembled but no go. Could use any help with this. Thanks!
