  1. I think the BIOS on that modchip (Xecuter 1.1) which is meant only for a v1.0 Xbox and cannot be upgraded (reflashed) has no BIOS boot order list like later modified BIOS versions have. I believe the Xecuter 1.1 BIOS only starts xboxdash.xbe. Newer BIOSes have a boot order list that they would attempt to run evoxdash.xbe, nexgen.xbe then avalaunch.xbe (I'm not sure if all of these names are correct - especially the latter two - I've not double checked them). If all of those files are not found on the hard drive, the stock MS dashboard, xboxdash.xbe, will be executed. HeXEn install disc expects this type of boot up operation to switch the replacement dashboard. For your Xecuter 1.1's BIOS, I think you need to rename the current xboxdash.xbe file to yboxdash.xbe (most any other name will do too) and change the name of the replacement dashboard, evoxdash.xbe, to xboxdash.xbe.
  2. It's the original the red ones are the newer clones
  3. The dot CLF file has strings for many languages in it: Turkce Nederlands Deutsch Dansk Français Italiano Svenska Norsk Suomi Espanol Português but, how the program finds the offset to the location of each language's strings in the file has yet to be determined.
  4. http://www.crusaders.no/~joker/old_web/avalaunch/index.htm Just shows information about AvaLaunch's features. At least, that is all I have found.
  5. PM sent. --- Strike that someone else already posted the link to it.
  6. Easier to get the eeprom.bin backup you need by running the Evolution-X (Evox) dashboard. FTP it to a subfolder in your console's Apps folder. I have no idea where it may be as different people install it to different locations (e.g., E:\Apps\, E:\Applications\, F:\Apps, F:\Applications, or on the G drive). Create an Evox subfolder there and upload the files for Evoxdash +3935. Run it from your default dashboards applications menu and use Evox's Backup menu option. The backup files will be stored in a subfolder where you installed the Evox dashboard. You are looking for the file eeprom.bin. With this file you can create a new locked hard drive with XboxHDM23USB Beta 2 or 3. More information after you have the eeprom.bin backup file stored on your PC.
  7. The HDDKey is used to generate the locking password. This computed password will be unique to each different hard drive. These passwords do not / will not match only the HDDKey stored in all the different Xboxs' configuration EEPROMs have to match to be able to move hard drives between them all.
  8. That is strange. I wonder why that would occur. Both the dot bin (modchip/TSOP BIOS) and dot XBE (Xbox Application) version should have the same controller support. They are built from the same code base.
  9. Fatal Frame 2's Title ID is 5443000A. Look for the file 5443000A.acl. Call of Cthulhu's Title ID is 43530007. You can find a list of title IDs of original Xbox games at: https://github.com/jeltaqq/Xbox-Original-GameList/blob/master/Xbox Original GameList.tsv
  10. The Settings in UnleashX are for the dashboard itself. Your PAL Xbox is still using PAL resolutions when set to PAL. Doesn't matter what the Enable 480p/720p/1080i settings only work when set to NTSC. The settings state the console is running in PAL modem so the max resolution out is 576i. (480i or 576i are the only two PAL video out resolutions) Edit: You can use the NKPatcher Settings application included with the Xbox Softmodding Tool to make changes to the configuration EEPROM's video settings. The changes made there will work across all Xbox executables as they are saved in the configuration EEPROM. UnleashX dash settings do not change those settings stored in the configurationEEPROM - those are only applicable to the UnleashX dashboard while it is running.
  11. IIRC, the XBlast OS works with a variety of 3rd party controllers, not all, but more than the GentooX Loader which requires an OEM controller (Microsoft Duke or S Controller).
  12. Ok, the Chihiro previews are included in the XvGM skin preview file, Arcade Emulators.zip, available at SPPV's GREPO site. CB-Games already had made them available. I see their names have shihiro in them instead of chihiro. ???
  13. I don't believe he's made any previews for the 3 Sega Chihiro games, I believe it's 3, that run only on 128MB RAM upgraded Xboxes.
  14. Burn one with a DVD burner.
  15. Do you have a PC with an IDE interface? Or, a USB-to-HDD interface (IDE or SATA) depending which hard drive/adapter configuration you are using?
  16. No TSOP and modchip perform the same type of function. Booting a modified BIOS. One across the LPC bus and the other a parallel data bus.
  17. Oh wait Your Xbox is edit: Hardmodded softmodded but no replacement dashboard is installed yet. Easiest way is to have a DVD-R disc with the HeXEn 2018.iso disc image burned to it. Otherwise, the process is way more complicated and I don't even know that a Mac can be used to do it.
  18. You can FTP the HexIns folder found in \StockFiles\E folder of the HeXEn 2018 disc. Edit: Oops, you cannot FTP to the Xbox until a replacement dashboard has been installed. You can use Qwix or C-Xbox Tool to extract the XISO-format dot iso files of HeXEn. Oh wait you have a Mac, not a PC. You can use extract-xiso either the GUI or command line version found here.
  19. Definitely doesn't look good and will need a replacement power cord.
  20. It's broken. You don't have to use the stupid replacement power cord they provided. It does not actaully fix the problem with certain models of power supplies used in the Xbox. It was a band-aid to prevent your Xbox from catching fire by removing AC power if it was sparking. What brand of Power Supply Unit (PSU) does your Xbox contain? You may need to resolder the AC power connector on the PSU to strengthen the joints. Example of the problem area on the bottom side of the Xbox's PSU and fix: https://www.neogaf.com/threads/crackling-coming-from-inside-original-xbox-hardmodded.428705/post-27450805 Repair video: Repair Video for a different brand of PSU:
  21. Is this the TV model you have: TC-PVT30? https://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/panasonic-tc-pvt30-help-little-green-dots-549629/#:~:text=the green dots show up,past the point of seeing https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/388703/How+to+remove+or+fix+spots+'dots'+on+my+Panasonic+LED+TV
  22. Those are big dots. I was expecting simple pixels speckled all over the screen. Looks like problems with the TV''s backlight regions/zones. Are there settings to adjust such on the TV? Do you have another TV to try? You may have already said.
  23. You see the following error code when you’re trying to launch a game on your Xbox One console: 0x803f800b This means that your subscription has expired.
  24. Pin #3 LFRAME# - I don't believe it's used by X3 modchip (MS removed this signal's connection from the MCPX chip to the port for 1.3-1.5 consoles) Pin #5 LRESET# - ??? I don't think the modchip needs a connection to this signal. Pin #12 Ground - same as pin #2. Ground is ground once you have one connected you don't really need another for the modchip to work properly. Pin #4 Not present on 1.0-1.5 consoles (1.6 power control signal - ground and the console will turn on / off - no connection necessary for the modchip to function) Pin #16 SERIRQ signal only present on v1.0 consoles. Not needed for modchip operation. Edit: Pin #15 3.3Vdc - same as pin #9.
