  1. That would be realy awesome. :)
  2. Thanks but i already have a full backup of xbins, the problem is that there are just some tools and skins for tHc but not the dashboard it self. All links i have found so far point always to xbox-hq.com. Anyway, thanks again.
  3. * Dig out that slightly dusty topic* Well anyone here has a copy to share of the tHc Dash? And yeah, I know, I know - xbox-hq.com but, i do not plan to make an account there and become a VIP just for that one single App. So it would be nice to get my hands on a copy it.
  4. No torrent but i can give you 1fichier links. An account there is just 2 bucks so not that much expansive. Check the TXT file which i have atteched, it includes CoinOPS 8 Premium and CoinOPS 8 Massive Premium links. CoinOPS 8.txt
  5. It's 2,5V but it gets 2,7V from the circuit so it's better to replace it with an 2,7v one. But at least it will last another 20+ years. Or you could use a NiMH 2,4v or NiMH 3v accu and a resistor (so it will output around 2,5v). Little joke : A more perma solution would be a nice tiny solar panel. Then you have around 30+ years. ;)
  6. Sry? Ofc it does. I think about all the plants you kill without giving them a chance at all. You have to change that asap. And like you see above i also care about your health. I would pay you a propper meal. Some nice filet mignon or some nice chicken wings? You choose and I pay the bill. Sounds any good?
  7. Nice to hear, I'm happy for you. :) Enjoy your 128mb ram xbox. ;)
  8. Error 07 : Harddrive timeout. Edit: And Dave again. I better go take a shower.
  9. Yea, had read something about that, somewhere but i can' t remember where it was..... Give me sec. i will try harder ..... *me is thinking realy damn hard (a little cloud shows up above my head)* OH. It's written in your singature! ;)
  10. So i have to admit that i learned something. I never really got into softmodding except for the one TOSP and just a moment after the softmod was done and the TOSP was flashed, the softmode was gone. Only my old PS2 fat has the FHDB boot (softmod) on it. But i'm better not telling about other consoles here. They are all sins.
  11. Error 05 - HDD not locked. But why should give it a error at all? I don't have experiences with softmods but, as long as it's the same drive and same softmod ect. the box should boot up without problems since no MS-Dash is loading right? So i would guess that the box has a nother issue. But again, i have no experiences with softmods just do it ones for the TOSP falsh without problems. And you could easily build your self a Eeprom reader for some cents and read the eeprom from the xbox. EDIT : Oh Dave was faster. Isn't there no night in australia? EDIT 2 : Googled it. Just ~ 5pm there. So you can stay up a little longer.
  12. I have not touched the CPU/GPU in this case. And like i wrote, things went back to normal after i replaced the two 10v caps and removing the TOSP bridge. So i can just guess here that either one of the caps was faulty or maybe the TOSP bridge was some sort of bad (which i don't believe to be honest). So this case will still be a x-file for an x-box.
  13. Ewwwww. I still bet it's just a (several!) solder bridge(s). I would start by just set up your iron with a small flat tip and clean the joints. If you have a cellphone which have a macro function or just one with a slightly better cam you could use that to look at the joints (you could also provide better pics and maybe upload them somewhere else (imgur.com) to get arround the 2MB limit ;) ). And @ Dave: About the linked topic with the 1.2 xbox, you see that pads are bridging. Btw. Ppl. think thats a easy task to update the ram. Just do 400 joints and voilà, 128gb of ram. But it's not so easy for a "beginner" without to much soldering experience, a maybe a not so steady hand and missing basic tools. Some ppl offer ram upgrades incl. the ram it self for around 60 euros which isn't that much when you think of the hassle you save your self.
  14. And you get a pinout today for free (normaly you get those for your posting no.10 but we make an exception here. ). About the ram i guess you're good. You can't mix samsung with hynix but thats not the case here so no worries.
  15. True. Thats why you should use a magnifier as well. Double check. ;)
  16. Bad pic's but on every chip it looks like you have some bridged pins. Check all legs with a magnifier or a multimeter, in case you have one. I bet you will find some shorts.
  17. I do this post just for others who might be have the same problem. So, I managed to fix the problem. I have soldered the old 1500uF back in place (which did'nt solve the problem) and i replaced the two 3300uF 10V caps (the green marked ones in the attached pic) and the temps go back to normal (open case and closed case almost the same). And since this is a TOSP flashed box i had also the solder brigdes for the TOSP removed. How ever, things went back to normal. Not 100% sure if i screw that up or if it already was faulty but who cares at the end? The problem is solved. The only downside of this, that i now have to use my stove again to make my self some unbelievable tasty sausages. But now, i`m out. The post is just made to clear things up and encourage ppl. to dig a bit, even they are not sure what's the damn problem is. Greets. Eating living defenseless plants is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  18. Pictures of the soldered rams would be helpful. Maybe you have solder bridge, a bad connection or a bad ram chip.
  19. Come on mate, whats the point of this conversation? You wan't to make ppl. stop eating meat? Make them kill the animal on her/his own if they wan't to eat it and i promeses you that min. 50% of them didn't eat meat again. And on the other side - well - you know how much trees "get killed" (YES plants live too they just dont have eyes to look at you!) cuz the space is needed for soy to make fake meat (Btw. WHY da hell vegetarian want to eat something which tast like meat?) or other plants. And thats just one example. The point here is :" Vegetarians are murders too ". We all are in one or the other way. We just have the freedom to deside what we are killing but at the end we all have to kill something to live on! But in case you feel better call me a killer and keep washing your hands in innocence, i'm fine with that. At the end we should thank "GOD" that we have to kill anything for living. (Little side not for your next topic to try to blame someone (me): I don't belive in God. How ever, have a nice day. Well, i have 4 xbox'es here (2 x 1.4 and 2 x 1.6). Three of them are idle at mid 30 which is fine. And like i mentioned bevore, i didn't paid attention to the temps on this xbox in the first place (before i startet recapping) I take the blame for that. But i still think those idle temps are pretty high. And like you asked, i have postet pictures of the two 1.4 systems (build back toghter) for comparsion (And what was your answer to that?). I did'nt had in mind, when i startet this topic, to waste ppl's time. So i apologize in case i wastet yours or any of the others. Btw. I assume that the 1.0/1.1 are run mostly a little hotter than all revisions after that but fell free to proof me wrong here. I'm not afraid of learning something new. Finaly, i had to thank Dave for trying to help (like allways) without get pissed or bs arround because of anything i wrote. Thats professional in my opinion. I like that. How ever, Thanks and i'm out. - Closed (for me) -
  20. The sausages? Ofc not, they were 100% from a dead piggeldy.
  21. All put back toghter ... Pic 1 (1.4) shows the one with new caps after 10 min of idle. Pic 2 shows my other 1.4 box with untouched caps. Result: 61°C CPU vs 35°C CPU and 30°C GPU vs 50°C GPU. Finaly Pic 3 shows what happend when you put some sausages on the new capped (caped?) xbox gpu.
  22. Dash is unleashed but XBMC4Gamers reports also high temps and i cleaned the sensor with ipa. Caps are: 3300uF 6,3V (Panasonic EEU-FM0J332) : https://www.conrad.de/de/p/panasonic-eeu-fm0j332-elektrolyt-kondensator-radial-bedrahtet-5-mm-3300-f-6-3-v-20-12-5-mm-1-st-1475998.html?insert=62&searchType=SearchRedirect 3300uF 6,3V (Panasonic EEU-FM0J152) : https://www.conrad.de/de/p/panasonic-eeu-fm0j152-elektrolyt-kondensator-radial-bedrahtet-5-mm-1500-f-6-3-v-20-10-mm-1-st-1468925.html?insert=62&searchType=SearchRedirect Edit: i have test it with the multimeter 67°C and with a finger and damn the GPU is realy realy hot.
  23. Basics: XBox 1.4 with iND TOSP 5003 (also tried the 5004) / "Rest is stock" Yesterday i have changed some of the old caps which are bulky. I started with the 3 in front of the CPU and the clock cap. Everything went pretty smooth. Then i changed one of the 1500uF 6,3V "metal" caps (In the Picture (which isn't mine!) market with a question mark). Then i testet the box again cuz the cap was a little bit of a hassle because of the old solder. After that i noticed realy high temps on the GPU and a higher temp on the CPU. I have to admid that i didn't paid to much attencion on the temps after i testet the box in the first place. Shame on me. So i fired up my other 1.4 to compare the temps. The result of it is, that the one with the new caps has a ~10°C to 15°C hotter CPU and a ~20°C to 25°C hotter GPU (~55°C - 60°C) on idle! So i ripped out the 1500uF 6,3V and put the old (metal one) back but still high temps. I assume now that the problem are the three caps in front of the CPU (3300uF 6,3V). Could that be possible? I mean they are about 4000uF for what i have testet them before i soldered them in... That give me a little headache now. Any ideas? Greets Mrs. Edit : Stupid me, forgot the picture.
  24. Sry but i'm bussy with a xbox which get's a instand hot gpu because of changing caps (So wierd). So do it like Dave already wrote it's pretty simple and here is a video which show you the same: https://youtu.be/Rz7JHGkPBu0?t=564. After you set up your new hard drive you can flash a new bios (IND-5004.67) and you are ready in case you will swap your drive for the 2tb one. And from there just start over with the hexen disc again. Note: When you put a 2 TB had in your box make sure to format your drive twice. Formate - Reboot - Format again. Reason why is cuz XBpartitioner has a little bug with 16/64 kb cluster. In the first run the tool is not able to format the first pation with 64kb cluster.
  25. It depends on how big your new hard drive is. Maybe there is no reason for flashing a new one. In case your new hard drive is below/or just 1 TB you're fine, no need for a new bios. If you update 1TB+ you would need new bios with 256kb F&G bios. I would use the iND 5004 or iND 5003.
