Create a shortcut with Xbe Shortcut Maker 2.0 and place the shorcut alone in a folder and add that folder. Maybe this will solve the problem

You should see something when she blinks green. And thats if you have a bad eeprom which can be solved with a bios flash. If she blinks Red/Green you sometimes didn't see anything. Qustion. Do you see something when she is flashing Green ? (With aladdin installed?)

1 ) Put your Aladdin back in the XBox and load an Installer disk like OGXBox 2021, Tru3HeXEn 2021, Slayers 2021 ect. and flash new a bios on the Aladdin. When your XBox blinks green, you have a "currupt eeprom" and a bios reflash should solve this problem. 2) Without the Aladdin and an unlocked HDD your XBox cant boot the MS bios and will starting to flash. Solution = see above. 3) If you like to remove the Aladdin, lock your HDD first.

Because you don't have a DVD it gives you that error. You need a EvoX noDVD bios (or iND/x2) to get rid of this error. If you will launch the original bios you need a DVD drive.

I can't tell but, I can tell you that I had the same failure. Both X-Disk and Slayers are booting and seeing the drive but they are not able to do anything. All other like HeXEn (All versions) or my installer failed. But both of the non BFM installer booted up. I guess it's because of the switching kernels. To confirm this I would need to make a non BFM of HeXEn / OGXBox and test it. Another thing which is might be possible is, that the ones use UnleashX instead of EvoX which, in this case, would not care for the HDD. But if you don't belive me, go ahead, swap out a xbox with a locked HDD from another xbox and see your self. In my case it was just a old 8GB of which I didn't cared a lot but I found it funny some how. I will bookmark this topic and when I have some new blank DVD-R I will made a non BFM OGXBox and a non BFM HeXEn to test this out. If they both will fail, it's probably UnleashX which I don't belive.

Just a little side note: All installer, which use a BFM Bios, will fail to boot if you use a locked HDD from a other XBox. Funny is that Slayer's and X-Disk, which both don't use a BFM bios, are able to boot up the XBox with a locked a HDD from a differend XBox. Maybe it has to do with the kernel swapping.

There is no " msdash.xbe " for a chip mod (Maybe a softmod - shortcut). The original xbe is "xboxdash.xbe". If you can put the in you pc and use FATXplorer 3.0 beta to copy the file from the HeXEn dvd "D:\StockFiles\c\ (damn it hurts to write that) to your C drive. If you can still boot the disk use the UX File explorer to do so. After that you should be able to boot up your xbox again - if you have the right bios on your chip. Btw. For normal the XBox should not care about the xboxdash.xbe with a chip because it would boot a dash from E:\Dash\XXXX or a shortcut from C:\evoxdash.xbe (Even hexen does that). That msdash.xbe stuff sounds to me that there is a softmod on the HDD.

This is a Winbond TSOP, thats right but you want to flash the ModChip and not the TSOP right?

0(?) - Both. EvoX, iND, Xecuter are Hacked MS bioses. The m8+ is the latest bios with some fixes The Aladdin Mod Chips are 256kb. If you need/want to update if you don't have problems is on you. That means that you cant put your HDD into another XBox or you could not use it on the pc if your XBox blows up or you want to use FATXplorer 3.0. Now days there is no reason to lock the hard disk. You can but don't use HeXEn / TruHeXEn. Load the OGXBox Installer 2021 or Tru3HeXEn 2021. It is made this way. If you press it 2 sec it enables the Aladdin and if you just tab the xbox starts with the chip disbaled. This was for XBox live which no longer exist for the OG XBox. You could bridge 2 point on the Modchip to enable it allways if you want. I send the bill later the day. EDIT You could make that work but, you should not do that. You are fine without a capacitor and without a battery.

Slayer's v.2.7 2021 This a updated version of the last ORIGINAL version v2.7 from Slayer's without BFM-Bios. Slayer never used a BFM but the later updated ones does. Not sure who has made them but they heavily screwed up the BFM Bioses. The ORIGIANL Slayer's (without BFM) almost never failed to boot even, all other installers failed! (Incl. the horrible BFM modded Slayer's, what a shame). So that makes Slayer's a useful disc to have on hand if you run in such problems that your other installers won't boot. And because I wanted it as original as possible I have not touched much here, like you can see below. I have not even changed the name (Slay3r's would look cool) or versions number. I just added the year 2021 to it to point out that this is a REAL ORIGINAL Slayer's with just some little changes. Hope you guy's like it. Changlog (Slayer's v2.7 2021): Added : ~ 1200 trainers. That Xenium Ice Massive Xenium Bundle from NeMesiS is damn nice imo. But I would not waste it on a 1.6. If, pair it with a 1.0 or 1.1 and 128MB Ram. <3

I don't have testet all these game patches and updates. I had them collectet over time an djust put them on there to have them all in one place. Same with updates (whihc are official), HDD Fixes, Widefixes ect.. I'm basicly not a gamer but I have to admit that I bought one XBox just to play Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes again and see how I ended up - "coding" installer. (Still need to replay the game -.- ) If you send me a list which don't work, I can check these and see if I can get a working replacement or if I can Hex a new one. About the PDF viewer. I mean why not? The OS is basicly W2K and it should be possible. It would be enough for me if it just could display the PDF (no fancy functions). Think about the options this could provide for the installer. Alternatively a option to display jpg's "in Dash", like the TXT, but sadly you have to use the File Explorer for that. Biggest problem is to get the source code for UnleashX (if it still exsist somewhere). How ever, just a dream of an old man.

You can flash the Hynix TSOP with the EvoX flasher ( 2.2.3.2. Flash iND Bios (1.0 - 1.4) )

I'm good as new, thanks for asking. The credits for the format and setup C & E option goes to Dave. He wanted some "basic as possible" option so thats why the option is there. And I thought about an option to convert that ORIGINS image into a "real" TSOP/Chip image (eightball came up with that idea) and there was a beta which had this functions but tbh it's tricky to do. You have to replace so many files and configs, flash a bios first ect. . A lot of things are double on the Origins Image which should be replaced with shortcuts (for example 3 x UnleashX which could be easily linked to one main dash in E:\Dash .... ). That thing is horrible but I think, that this isn't a final version (it's a leaked beta if the roumers are right) so I will not judge here. At the end I put that idea on ice. Maybe if I'm in the right mood to play around with the Origins image I will do a covert option but for now - not my thing. And btw. I'm also not a huge fan of it because every thing feels so slow. I would prefere Rocky's X4G and add my own games to it if I would use a XBMC version at all. I'm a UnleashX fanboy if you will so. I'm just missing a PDF viewer and a option to display pictures right away like the TXT files in the installer.

Than your UnleashX/XBMC/XBMC4Gamers dashboard will be moved to the Backups folder on E (E:\backups\...) as well and a fresh version will be copied to E:\Dash\UnleashX or E:\XBMC or E:\XBMC4Gamers (depending on what you has choosen). After that you can boot to your "new" dashboard and fix your boot problems and copy back your files or just delete them. Fixed XBMC being in double a folder. (Not sure how i messed that up.) Fixed a small bug in the softmod config. Added the option to launch your dashboard from the installer using the BFM bios of this disk. "6.4. Kickstart Dashboard from HDD." Maybe usefull for troubleshooting. Added the option to remove remove SoftMod Files which may be left when you TSOP'ed or ChipModded your XBox (3.7.). First of, I have checked the bios file to ensure it is ok which it is. Not sure why you don't use the flasher but hey, you can do what ever you want. Second. " I just want to know if it is something I did other than those things you had described. ". Well if it isn't allowed to ask questions which helps to locate the error, how should we find out? And if you don't want a explanation of things, which i assume after that, fine. Finaly. If you has read the info files in the installer how to set up a HDD and you has followed the instructions there, you should be fine. If not you made a mistake somewhere. And you can format your HDD after the first initial formate & setup (which meens 2 x format) as often as you like.

Flux is your frind and a fiberglas pen or a scalpel to gently clean up the vias to get the solder stick. Use some AWG30 wire (it will fit into the vias and makes it easyer to solder).

The XBlast works only for some TSOP's and if you have a old bios on it. Something has changed between m7_TSOP and the newer bioses so you can kick the XBLast idea. psyko chewbacca wrote he would try do make a m8_TSOP (if possible) but thats a ~3-4 year old post ( https://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7081 ) which i have found because of 2 failed TSOP flashes with a faulty m8 bios on Winbonds TSOP's which i have tried to recover with a XBLast and an external programmer (whitout and luck).
