Does the Original Xbox Mic Switchable?

I have one question though, will my steel series artis 3 work on halo 2? I have never owned one of these devices and I can not find any information regarding the topic. If anyone owns one of these I am just curious if you need a specific model of xbox headphones. I have multiple headsets but my artis is the best. Any response/help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

If you remove adapter's casing, an Xbox 360 headset fits in and works as intended. There is a 2.5mm Audio jack with 4 contacts.

there is an answer in my previous comment, it WILL work with 360 headset, done this. But with your headset, you can try an adapter male to female - 2.5mm to 3.5mm, it depends on the pinout of both, the Xbox 360 and your headset.

So I was wrong, the Xbox heaset has 3 contacts, GND, MIC, SPEAKER
Just check what pinout your headset uses, before trying all that. At least, a soldering iron can fix it, by reasigning the wires in this little black adapter.

Salutations! Many, many moons ago I mowed several thousand million lawns for a PlayStation 2. I loved every bit of it. Great memories, awesome games, years went by and the damn thing still works. I went into the army and after returning home from my second deployment I picked up all the consoles I grew up with and finally an OG Xbox. Man did I miss out. So, lesson learned there. Now I use my Xbox with unleash X to mainly play Battlefront I and II. I'm used to using my Pi 3 B+ for most of my emulation needs but then I discovered emulation on the Xbox and I am more than impressed. I would love to do a 2TB emulation box so I can share the "classics" with my son. I honestly don't think I have enjoyed a console as much as the OG Xbox in the last few years. I love modding things and learning about all the tech specs and limitations. All in all glad to be a part of this community!

Hi, my precious modded Xbox is a UK device and I have been working on the basis that the PSU is 220v only and will need to be replaced with a 110v supply. Can anyone confirm that this is the case - if it can handle multi voltage then that would be a great surprise. Obviously if I need to replace the PSU thats fine - would anyone have any tips / pitfalls I need to be aware of??
      Cheers
