Original Aladdin Advanced Mod Chip

Hi all.

Came across my old original modded Xbox in loft the other day and had a play and realised I’d missed it.

Decided to get back into the scene and do some updates on it. Increase hard drive from 160gb to 2tb and a few other bits and pieces..

i have the old Aladdin Advanced mod chip which boots to evox on long power press and stock on short. Now as Xbox live is no longer a thing on original Xbox, I’ve no further need to keep booting to stock as default.

Whats the best way to alter it to have it boot with the chip active all the time? Or is there still a benefit to dual boot? If so can I switch the long and short presses around?

Been a long long time since I messed with these things.

All help appreciated.

Just connect BT with the first pin on the left in the upper row and remove the BT point cable from the board.

Thats it.

EDIT : And no benefit for disabling the chip. Btw. you may consider to install XBMC4Gamers along with the resource pack (linked below (DL-Links on side 4)) :

You need to link the BT to pin 2 (ground )as in this pic and also the wire (Blue Arrow)from the BT that is going to the front of the Xbox.

And then flash a IND5004.67 bios to it as the Evox M8 will not support a 2tb hard drive.

You have grounded the D0 wire in the pic you posted and not the BT wire.

Damn, you're right. Hope the OP was smarter than me and saw that im pointed him to the wrong pad.

Anyway, thanks for correcting me an shame on me for that. Next time i have to pay a little more attention.

Maybe a Mod can remove the picture since i can't edit it out.

If it was a standard aladdin modchip that would be correct and it's a simple mistake

Loving the XBMC4Gamers I’ve put on my system. I’ve made it my default dashboard.

Cant work out the IGR though. System fully reboots to xboxdash.

anyone know what combo Key press it is?

If you used the IND bios

edit the ind-bios.cfg file that's on the C drive to

DASH1=\Device\Harddisk0\Partition1\xbmc\default.xbe

That will load the XBMC4Gamers from a cold and warm boot.

I also set auto login in the xbmc4gamers settings

Go settings,Skin settings,Login,Auto login.

Cheers

Hello, I recently bought a used OG that was modified by its pervious owner. It appears to be a soft mod.
The Xbox first boots into the stock MS dash, but with the "Xbox Live" tab replaced with "Phoenix"
Selecting it boots into the UnleashX dash.
I like this setup since I think the stock dash is cool, and has a better game saves system than any of the dash big replacements. However, when I first tested it out it was fragging, and the HDD (which was replaced at some point via chimp with a 128gb one) seems to be in poor shape based on the sounds it was making. I am considering on giving it a tsop flash for the sake of keeping it alive, but It would be cool if I could keep the dash replacement.
Any info on this "Phoenix" softmod and its viability as a hardmod dash replacement would be great.

My OG Xbox started to Frag after a recap using the Console 5 kits. The PSU has been successfully recapped, mod chip and the extra ram chips work as i did that before the recap, clock cap area is fine, i removed that cap quite a while ago and cleaned the area with isopropyl alcohol. Every cap is in the right place and in the right orientation. But i did install C3B1 near the AV port, the 100uf cap the wrong away around the first time. I fixed that mistake, powered it on again but i get a Frag. What could be the problem? I reflowed the solder many times, and can’t find shorts either.

XBOX ORIGINAL EXECUTER 2.6CE HDMI 3TB HDD Fresh build!!!
This item sold on Ebay on September 5th, 2021, but buyer just messaged me saying he doesn't have the money. Officially by Ebay, I need to wait until September 9th and I can sell wherever.
I am in Utah, hoping to ship in USA if possible. $300 + $25 shipping. I'm hoping to sell this system first and see how much of a loss I will take and then likely sell my other 3CE system also...

Currently loaded with 311 of the best XBOX games, but you should be able to fit EVERY XBOX game ever made for XBOX on this 3TB HDD if you use the HDD READY versions (I can show you how). Everything works correctly, ready to boot and play!

My cost of parts (everything except xbox and xecuter is brand new in August 2021):
$100 Stock XBOX (revision 1.6) with 2 controllers

I am an expert solderer. I’ve done 10,000+ repairing vintage recording consoles, so the soldering on this is expert quality.

Labor was installing the Xecuter modchip (soldering), removing the clock capacitor and replaced with a capacitor (needed for the revision 1.6) (soldering), replaced 22 capacitors on Motherboard (soldering),removed all the old thermal paste on 2 heat sinks, used fresh Artic Silver thermal paste, clean inside, clean fan, install Ghostcase, install 3TB hard drive, install StarTech adapter, install upgraded 80-way cable, clean inside DVD drive and clean optical, format hard drive, install XBMC4Gamers and the best dashes, load 166 games, test. Current DVD Drive is a Thomson TGM600 wrorking great. I installed the Ghostcase top so you can see the spinning DVD , but old cover is included.

Sale includes power cable, HDMI cable, and composite cable. And 2 controllers included.

All new parts were just bought in August 2021, so this is a fresh build with low hours! I can include documentation and receipts if desired.

The Blue LED Kit is just tacked in place with hot glue in top center. It can easily be peeled off and moved if desired.
