RetroGam3rz
I have been using Startech Adaptors for nearly over 2 years in Xbox OG with no issues and Amazon are selling these at £18 roughly posted with a Amazon Prime Subscription. The best Deal i have found by far. One day delivery is not bad to be honest, anyone with other Suggestions or Alternative Options ??? Feel free to comment. Does and one have the STL files to Startech Adaptor The Original Version Design.
MilkMan2004
I like using the startech ide2sata25 single channel model because I don't used the optical drive...I also prefer it because I can use sata cable instead of the ide cable.... But they are getting harder to find because they are discontinued. I haven't had too many issues with the cheaper no name ide to sata adapters but I usually go over and redo all the soldering points on them. bolofski
I ordered 5 x jp103's from AliExpress and ALL were dead on arrival, soldering was shocking, one even had a surface mounted resistor missing, seller refunded me but still a bit peeved as I had used them with quite a high success rate before this

I've only had one failure and one that was intermittent.. so not really high failure for me.. but depending on the seller quite offen the soldering is really bad on the cheap ones.. even though they work, I just have to go over it for piece of mind. Now I just spring for startech as I can't be bothered anymore.

They just work and I'm honestly willing to eat the build cost if I know it works. The Alis are a fraction of the cost, but several orders of magnitude more of a headache. I just put in a Startech, flash UDMA-6 Cerbios and I'm done, man.
