  1. I've been working on a python app that's sort of a replacement for extract-xiso, plus some other features like CSO compression/decompression, iso scrubbing, attach xbe generation, and batch processing. I have it done for the most part besides being able to write a new xiso from a game folder, which I'd consider a pretty important thing to be able to do. This seems like the most complex task extract-xiso handles and the code for that program is honestly pretty hard for me to follow (I'm not fluent in C and it doesn't appear to be super well organized) so I'm looking for some more resources on the xiso format, how it's laid out, constraints, specs, and such.
  2. What is the the most straight forward way to convert iso to xiso. I think I can use extract-iso and quix to recompile it but is there another way? I want to batch a few. Im not looking for CCI.
  3. I've been doing a crazy amount of research, and thanks to how scattered information is, I decided to ask for a "definitive" answer: What is the best way of loading games onto an Xbox? While I know there are varying definitions of "best" I'm mostly referring to compatibility (no random breakage) and file size (as small as possible.) I initially assumed that CCI was the best, but due to Repackinator refusing to compress my redump ISOs (unless it was via context menu, but then I had no default.xbe), I looked into the other two methods (XISO and extracted files in a folder) I personally find it easiest for me to just extract everything with XDVDMulleter and drop it onto my HDD, with the few test games I've used work seemingly perfect, I can't help but wonder if any issues can come from this method?
  4. Hello, Been out of the xbox modding game for a while. Was checking out some posts here and there and I see people mentioning xiso files. I understand ISO and HDD ready games. But what exactly is xiso and is there any noticeable difference between that and iso games? Really all I want to do is transfer some of my backups via FTP to my modded console's HDD. Since the xiso files are much smaller, it seems to me that they might be the DVD rips of games without all the extra 'fluff' of making a 1-1 DVD image of a game. Would that be correct?
  5. On a modded PS2 and Wii you can play games directly from iso images. This can also be done a Xbox. You just need some tools, some attach/default.xbe's the correct bioses and some dashboards. I have tried to follow a tread on xbmc4xbox and another one on emuxtras on how to do this. But I gave up as it was unclear to me where to get hold of the attach.xbe file and also if i had to re-flash my bios to make this work. I wonder if someone here can make a good tutorial on how to make this work. ( I use xbmc4gamers as my main dash, And i have two xboxes, one with evox m8+ and one with indbios 5004. ) Thanks,

  7. Introducing redump2x, a Linux bash script to convert redump archive into xiso. Features: Create ready to boot xiso folder structure. Copy default.xbe's certificate to attach.xbe so trainers will work. Clean xiso filename to conform FATX limitation. UnleashX game cover using Rocky5's Xbox Artwork Installer. Split xiso to conform FATX limitation. Notes: You need to download Xbox Artwork Installer by yourself. Binaries inside bin folder included to guarantee basic functions. You can always compiles them manually.
  8. using JX 720 skin, it has tray button - open and close, and run .xbe file from the disk. So i guess there is a way to make a button that activates unmount .xbe file. I managed to add custom entries like for Homebrew, etc. Really cool thing to have entrie like that, but instead of opening homebrew folder, it activates .xbe file which unmounts xiso.
  9. I'm having some trouble getting both of these working at the same time; I have a M8+ 1.6 BIOS pointing to Rocky5's xISO patcher, which works fine, but when I try to pack it with XboxHD's patch and run it, it doesn't show up in the XboxHD app. This happens using both the edited or clean M8+ images as a base when packing it again. If I don't load the xISO patcher, the XboxHD patch shows up fine in the app. I'm wondering if there's a way around this or if anyone else has gotten these to work together.
  10. Hey. Since I didn't saw a topic anywhere I'm going to create this one. So here's a topic about game ISO's with problems like : Invalid TOC; Illegal signs; Tto long file names. I assume it isn't nearly complete so please feel free to add your game. ******************************************************************* XBox game ISO's with "Invalid TOC". This is for the uploads "ByAlvro" and archive.org "ReDump" ISO's. And it is for PAL and NTSC games (So both version are affected). Aggressive Inline Bruce Lee - Quest of the Dragon Burnout Crash Crash Bandicoot - The Wrath of Cortex Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 David Beckham Soccer Enclave Furious Karting Fuzion Frenzy Gauntlet - Dark Legacy Genma Onimusha Gravity Games Bike - Street. Vert. Dirt. NBA Starting Five Project Gotham Racing (ALL VERSIONS eg. v1.00, v1.05, etc.) Sega GT 2002 Silent Hill 2 - Inner Fears Star Wars - Jedi Starfighter Street Hoops Test Drive Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2x Total Immersion Racing NOTE: You can extract the broken ISO using " extract-xiso ". How ever, if you are going to just create an XISO out of the ISO with extract-xiso you end up with an XISO with invalid TOC. To avoid that unpack the "broken" iso then make your own new XISO out of the files with Xdvdmulleter or Qwix. Simply drag and drop your ISO on the extract-xiso.exe and wait a moment. XBox Iso tools AiO DL: https://1fichier.com/?qua2k6qlzqzxxbe51ur2 The archive contains: extract-xiso Qwix_v1.01 XDVDMulleter Beta 10.2 XISO Split Here is a little video about it: CLICK ******************************************************************* XBox game ISO's with illegal signs in it (ä, ü, ö, á etc.pp.). You need to patch that game file by file your self. How ever, you can use the included default.xbe.
  11. Hello, I managed to split the XISO of Enter The Matrix, but when I ran it, It goes back to dashboard. Im using latest EvoX m8+ noDVD 480p 256kb BIOS. Also, want to know how to mount an small XISO (I dont have or dont know how to create attach.xbe) It seems faster, safer, and better to have ISOS on the Xbox than millions of small files, specially, when transferring them.
  12. Been trying to get my head around the best way to install games. I think I got it sorted, could I get some feedback please? Start with ReDump style ISOs. Next step depends if there's anti-piracy protection (determined by going through the DVD2Xbox ACL files, eg. ACL for TOCA 3) If there's protection, just remove the video partition and leave the game partition untouched. dd if=redump.iso of=game_data.iso skip=387k bs=1k Otherwise, use extract-xiso (which now has ReDump support) to convert it into a compatible XISO and shrink the size. extract-xiso.exe -r "redump.iso" If the resulting ISO is > 4gb, use XISO Split to split into smaller files. FTP the ISO file to F/G:\\Games Run the "XISO to HDD Installer" script in xbmc4gamer Source of most of my assumptions: https://www.ogxbox.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1134-xiso-playing-games-from-xbox-hdd-using-iso-images/page/5/ Thanks everyone.
  13. Guys, Could somebody tell wat do I need to do to be able to launch xisos...? I mean I know all the steps except the bios one - I have m8plus (customised slightly to my needs). What do I need to do in order to have that bios support xiso...?
  14. Hello, just wanna know: how do I check if a certain ISO I have is XISO or normal ISO ? Once I know what kind of ISO it is, how to correctly burn it ? So far, I've burned some installers correctly like Slayer Installer 2.7 and Hexen 2018, on a DVD-R and they work well. But I'm not pretty sure, especially about Dual Layers, which cost a lot, so I don't want to fail the burning you know. Any proper advice answering my questions ? Thank you so much.
  15. anywhere to find xiso for azurik? I had one & its an iso image but was backed up improperly, it just shows up as a video of xbox game disc. please msg me if you have this might have something you need do a file swap
  16. Qwix101 Ftp to your xbox Create xiso's extract xiso's patch default xex and more.... Change Log: Note: Please read the Qwix_FAQ.htm file included with Qwix! Even with that file included in the RAR, many of those questions come up all the time. This is a bugfix release and adds no new features. Qwix 1.01 fixes: - Reworked FTP transfer buffers for improved Windows performance during and after transfers, which can also increase transfer speeds (especially boost mode). - Changed default transfer buffer size from 512KB to 1MB. - Fixed a transfer thread leak which caused various problems with Qwix after transferring an ISO. - Fixed a problem that prevented game icons from being downloaded after transferring an ISO. - Fixed a problem that prevented batch properties from taking effect if you pushed a button on the toolbar before clicking in any other control first. - Made the XBE rename case-sensitive when deciding whether it should rewrite the XBE file or not. - Disabled the "Use advanced Avalaunch features" option in the connection editor until the SITE REFRESH command is fixed in Avalaunch. Yes, that's all that the option does. No, it doesn't make transfers slower. - Fixed the taskbar disappearing act and an occasional OLE32.DLL access violation, both on Win98/WinME. - Fixed a few font and color issues, making things a bit more consistent with certain themes and platforms. - Fixed a problem that prevented a transfer to the root directory of an Xbox drive. - Fixed a random access violation that was caused by the component used for all the lists and trees in the Qwix user interface. - Made the local PC folder browser show the proper folder name for shortcut items like My Network Places shares. - Fixed the Rename ISO feature from the Scan Folders right-click (from the Load ISO screen, not Scan Titles).
