  1. i had been using the modified m8 evo(i think that's what it is called) bios because there is just something about seeing that stock boot image that i love. i don't know how to describe it but, it just does something to me. i recently started using cerbios because i wanted to take full advantage of my 3tb drive. so how can i make cerbios have the stock boot flubber and sound?
  2. I'd like to replace the logo that appears between the Xbox flubber animation upon startup and the loaded dashboard on a soft modded xbox using UnleashX. Right now its an X inside a cube with some matrix test in the background. Is that possible and how would I go about doing it? I am using the default skin and I don't see anything in the E:\UDATA\9e115330\0064122817A8\ directory labeled Skin. I do see a UX Splash but I changed that to no avail Ive tried googling around but I think im missing the right keywords so I wanted to create a thread if anyone knew how.
  3. I copied one XBOX's completely setup hard drive to a new drive using Fatxplorer, just copied C D E F G across after formatting the new drive with the Cerbios option, I've never encountered a problem doing this before, I've done it a few times now over the past week or two. This time though as it's a 6TB drive I copied the full CCI set across along with a bunch of emulators which previously I'd only had select stuff being 2TB drives. Now however, it boots into XBMC4Gamers fine, then the green spinny boxes come up and just keep on spinning, I've left them for hours and they never seem to stop, reboot and they start again Would I be better off deleting XBMC4Gamers off there and doing a fresh install of it? Is there some cache I should delete? Thanks in advance.
  4. I installed the latest xbmc4gamers on a 2TB WD Red HDD I use 80 wire IDE cable and SATA adapter Bios cerbios 2.31 last Practically from one moment to the next I noticed a really excessive slowdown when starting xbmc4gamers I also tried other hdds, other cables and other adapters What can cause a very slow startup? Maybe I need to disable something?
  5. Howdy! Long time follower of the forums and this is my first post ever on the site. Finally got me a modded original NTSC Xbox from eBay after years of not owning one. Loving it! Mostly playing Halo2 on XLinkKai. My only issue with it is that who ever modded it and sold it to me on eBay removed the iconic classic flubber intro boot, all it has is just this blame and dull blue Xbox logo during boot and nothing else. Looking to see if there is anyway I can get the flubber screen back? I know it's something to do with the BIOS, just haven't found any leads in what to do and all the information i used to frequent back in the day on isozone is gone and anything I find is obscure with no clear information or instructions and I'm afraid to mess anything up with out some kind guidance on the procedure. I'd really appreciate the help or any kind lead. Thanks in advance!
  6. i have 2 hard modded xbox's. i just fired up the 2nd one after many months of none use. it has one of the aladin clone modchip's and the evo8 bios. i have it set to show the stock xbox start up flubber and X screen just like a stock xbox startup screen. when it goes to the X, it has a lot of silver in it. the machine seems to be working perfectly other than that. what would cause this and is it anything to be concerned about? everything was working perfectly from the push of the power button till i shut it down before i let it sit for months. it is a v1.6 xbox btw.
  7. OG Xboxers assemble! Come on guys, how has no one discovered what this Easter egg is? It's just a combination of button presses. Additional info found on Reddit: "That thread points out a section of the Xbox kernel's source code (which contains the startup animation code) which has checks to see if certain controller buttons are being pressed and then it conditionally fires functions to alter how the startup animation looks and behaves. The code has references to changing things like the presence of fog, shadows, the "blob" throbbing effect, and camera placement. There's references to "pause" and "camera under control", which makes me think you may be able to pause the bootup animation and then move the camera around the scene using the controller. The boot animation (and bootup sound) is rendered in real time in 3D and is not a pre-rendered video, which makes this all possible in theory. The presence of this code in the stock kernel indicates that it might somehow be able to be triggered by a user on a stock Xbox, if triggered correctly. Currently, simply pressing buttons during the bootup sequence doesn't seem to have any effect. There might be some missing component to trigger all this. Keep in mind, this is all speculation. Seamus could be referencing something else entirely for all we know. I also don't know for certain that the code in reference made its way into the final shipped kernel. It could have also been only present in certain versions hypothetically. EDIT: the code that handles processing button inputs is not active in retail versions of the kernel from what I can tell. There's a special flag that is basically used to indicate whether or not the build is being used for testing. If this "final build" flag is turned on, inputs aren't processed. Seeing as how you can only do this on non-final development builds, I don't think this is the easter egg he's talking about. I'd still be curious to play around with it though. It looks like a very simple thing to enable so I'm surprised there isn't a version out there currently that has this feature enabled, especially hacked BIOSes. It looks like this is a rather trivial flag to set during compilation."
  8. Hi, been using this install for ages with no issues. Today after moving from one tv (on component) to another tv (on RGB, don't know if this is important) xbmc4gamers is asking me to calibrate the screen. I do this, it asks to restart, then when it starts up again it is asking for calibration again, then reset and so on, stuck in a loop. Is there a way to bypass this, or maybe a config file to change or delete that will let me back in again? I notice after calibration finishes and the restart dialogue comes up, there is a notification in the top left that says 'script failed'. Asking here as its likely an easy fix for those with the knowhow! Thanks again folks!
  9. Hey Guys, since a few days i'm having problems with my Xbox. It randomly doesn't boot anymore and just hangs on the xecuter rox my Box Screen. When I try to boot i again a few hours later, sometimes it Boots without problems and on Other occasions it hangs again. I am using xbmc4gamers as Dash through a shortcut xbe. The BIOS ist x5035. I love my Xbox and would be very thankful for any Help.
  10. Hi people, I recently soft modded my 1.4 Xbox following Mr. Mario's Rocky5 guide. I've since set XBMC4Gamers as the default dashboard. When I first power up the console on I just get a blank screen, to get the XBMC dash to load correctly I need to open and close the disk tray. Any ideas for how I could fix this?
  11. I successfully created and locked a 500GB IDE Seagate Hard drive using HDM V1.9. I transferred it to my xbox and it gets stuck at the xbox splash screen at start up for ages and then goes to Error 13 - any ideas? (It can take 2-3 minutes for the word "Microsoft" to appear under the xbox splash). Thanks
  12. Hi everybody. From what I can understand there is a difference in how to change the default dashboard to anything you want (If you have a tsop, sofmodded or hardmodded box.) In my case, I have a TSOP modded box and I would like to have xbmc4gamers or xbmc emustation as my startup dash. What should I do here? I have read somewhere that I should make a shortcut in a program on my computer to redirect it to where I have the dashfile. Please feel free to fill in the blanks for me to understand this matter better. / David
  13. Hey guys, im new here so this is my first post and regretfully its a bad post. Being the dumb idiot I am, I accidentally flashed a 1.0-1.5 BIOS onto my 1.6b Xbox, the modchip is an aladdin from about 10 years or so, now my Xbox wont even output any video and its FRAGGING, its also not letting me open the disk tray, is my Xbox completely broke or am I able to put a new modchip in?
  14. I'm trying to set my system start up in 720p. If I go to the MS dashboard from UnleashX menu, change the settings, do a soft reboot UnleashX will come back up in the display settings I've set. If I power off the system and power back on these settings don't save. The only settings that do stick are what I set in the UnleashX dashboard settings. The MS Dashboard reverts back. Any suggestions? Not sure if relevant but: -Using a Pound Technologies HDMI cable -Softmodded xbox using rocky5 migration to sata and upgraded ide cables -Just removed my clock capacitor.
