Ok here is the story. My brother just gave me his old xbox. It has been hard modded a while ago. It is a version 1.4 with a windbond TSOP. It is currently running Evolution x 3921. I have installed bios checker 5.0 and it says the bios is unknown. Also the MS dashboard can not be loaded. I would love to update this. What would be the order to do this. I read somewhere to run the krayzie one click soft mod installation, which would update the soft mod. Do I then just re-flash the tsop with the 256 EvoX M8+. I do have hexen 2017 disc. Thanks

I've just spent the better part of a weekend doing Xbox controller repairs, and my hands are killing me. I've repaired enough, it's time to let the rest of these go. Here we have what's left of my repair pile - 6 S-controllers, and three 3rd party controllers. None of them work properly. Most of them just need cord repair. Some of them have been opened. The green one is pretty much trashed. I cloned the stock drive on my softmodded Xbox to a 500gb drive that was in my dead TSOP xbox using Chimp and locked it. The drive boots up just fine. I then use HeXEn disc to install Krayzie One Click softmod, and that was successful. I reboot into HeXEn, and I can see the F and G, but F looks empty in the file explorer (it says F has 35mb free, when it should be about 20GB free), and G says there is 0 space free. G doesn't even show up in UnleashX even though F and G are enabled. How can I get the contents of F and G to show up? I really dont want to have to reformat F and G/re-transfer everything if I can avoid it.

By soundtracks I mean the ability to have games play the music using the custom soundtrack feature a lot of games have. I'm sure we all know how to put music on. I had this issue since I can't burn CDs. I figured there would be a way to FTP but, it isnt as simple as FTPing to the correct directory in the proper format. The information on how to do this is out there, but it did take a little while to get a working method. A lot of the programs don't work on windows 10 etc etc. Well this method using Xbox Soundtrack Editor 0.97 works great, and is easy/fast. So I just made a quick video on how to do it. Hello, I've got an xbox to which I've performed the trace corrosion repair on the past, as the buttons did not shut down the console properly (it only turned on after i applied power to the unit). I've ran it just with the power button working, until now, when I decided to go ahead and try to fix both buttons. But now it went bad or something, because no matter how hard I jump wires to traces A, B and D (C is fine on my board, and I can't find E) as shown on this thread, the console simply refuses to turn on anymore.the wires are just fine and they give me continuity when soldered, but that's that. I know for sure that the power supply is perfectly fine (it never really failed). Even with only traces A and B soldered properly I can't get the console to boot anymore, and the right hand side of C7P8 has continunity to the solder pad in trace D (just saying because i'm not sure if this is how it should be, I hope nothing shorted ). Is there any other way to wire the power to the board so it'll work again? It would be really bad to have to throw it away over something like this.... I really hope someone can help me. More curious than want to put into practice but after I load a game from disk onto the Xbox Hard Drive, it might be nice to create an ISO as a backup if the game disk fails. I was thinking some kind of program on a PC connected via the network to the Xbox.

While it is possible to play with the files ftp'd to the hard drive, it is recommended (if you don't have a working retail copy) you either burn a disc, or mount the iso on the hard drive using NKpatcher. From my personal experience, the corruption issue usually happens after 4-8 hours of play. Don't forget to join our discord server here:

I'm interested to know once the original Xbox is modded what can can the king of emulation play?for movies what kind of movie formats can she play? For example MP4 Avi Etc. Also would be nice to know what kind of music and picture files will work with the original Xbox for example MP3? Wave? Jpeg? Either a list or a link would be great.
