  1. I'd like to replace the logo that appears between the Xbox flubber animation upon startup and the loaded dashboard on a soft modded xbox using UnleashX. Right now its an X inside a cube with some matrix test in the background. Is that possible and how would I go about doing it? I am using the default skin and I don't see anything in the E:\UDATA\9e115330\0064122817A8\ directory labeled Skin. I do see a UX Splash but I changed that to no avail Ive tried googling around but I think im missing the right keywords so I wanted to create a thread if anyone knew how.
  2. Installed 2.41 but it no longer displays the initial image of the dog. How can it be solved?
  3. Is there an official tool to convert bin/cue xbox images to iso? I tried renaming a bin file to iso, and it worked, Mulleter even loads the iso as a disc with no errors. Just wondering if this method works, what do I do with the cue file, they're all only 1KB. The game plays fine when renamed. Would there be any consequences when renaming instead of converting? I just tried ISObuster 5.4.1, but it produced a file with the exact same size and hash as renaming, is this even needed?
  4. The Origins HDD image is pretty cool and pretty loaded, however, it does NOT have a proper MS dashboard or a decent main dash. C is full of some NKPatcher image and takes up so much space on the partition that the MS dash won't even fit. This is an avoidable problem and the Origins setup can be better, so lets try to address that and get you on Insignia while we're at it. Just don't snap any bowls before you do this... Wait 'till after. The first order of business is to get a hold of the OGXbox Installer and boot it up. Once you boot into the "DHCP and no BFM" option, select "Format and Setup" > "Format & Setup HDD" > "AIO Setup a new HDD (C+E Only)". Go through the install process and then go to the main menu and select "Install or Switch Dashboards" > 4.5 "Switch Default Dashboard" > And then choose your dashboard. I use XBMC, so that is what I will cover here. Once the installer sets you to XBMC, restart your Xbox without the disc in it and go into Programs, and then "Add Source". Navigate to the "Games" folder on F and once you can see the alphabetical listings for games and are in the "Games" directory as indicated up top, go to "OK". Verify the name you want for this source, as this is what will show up as the entry in your "Apps" menu in XBMC. Hit "OK" and the item will be listed in your dashboard under "Apps". Now do the same for the games on your G partition. If you have apps anywhere else on your HDD that you want to add to your dashboard, you can do it this way, and any executables in their respective folders within this source will be listed when selecting the entry in your dashboard. This part is important: Network settings, and it's one of the best parts about using XBMC: You can just select one setting and it will use your MS Dashboard network settings at all times, DNS and all. Go to Settings > Network > "Network" tab on the left of the screen > Then change "Assignment" to Default (Dashboard). Done... forever. If you ever launch UnleashX for any reason you can expect your network settings to be changed on you. Now that you have added your software and set up network settings, it is time to add the MS Dashboard. Add "C:" as a source, just like you did before with your other software. Name it however you like or will be helpful for you to know why it is that you are adding it to your dashboard entries. I just have it as "C:" because that's what makes sense to me when I go into it. Once you do, go into it and near the bottom, you will see "Xbox Dashboard". with the file size of 1.87MB to the right of it. Launch the MS dashboard, and then configure Insignia, as per the instructions on the Insignia website. https://insignia.live/connect Add me on Insignia: Bowlsnapper Okay, you can snap a bowl now and hop on Halo 2. Disclaimer: This is not meant to be a "Fix" for the Origins Image. It is simply a way to set up your own dashboard and give you a way to get Insignia going, as well as get rid of a softmod setup which nobody needs, if they are hardmodded. I'm sure there are things about E or the image in general that I am not privy to. However, in all the time I've used my Master Image, I have not experienced a single problem or anything being broken. All the games that loaded fine before, load now. All the emulators seem to work and all the apps on F and G. If I could, I would engineer all kinds of fixes to make this a perfect image... but I just don't have time.
  5. Hello there! So I have tried various versions of Snes9, the art downloader (also manually inserting), trial and error image file inserting and deleting, etc. I cannot for the life of me get a nice background image to popup only on SNES9XBOX. All other emulators have nice backgrounds. I have enabled recourses, taken that off, refreshed a dozen times, rebooted. Any help would be awesome, thanks in advance.
  6. Hello I have an X3 modded XBOX. I've noticed a thread elsewhere on OGXBOX mention the Origins 2TB from Arcade Punks. So I'm giving that a go out of curiosity. I'm still trying to use MultiPAR to fix the RAR files with the PAR2 files. Then I'll jump on the torrent to finish it. But I have other consoles and Launchbox set up so emulation isn't the main driving force, its the XBOX games and homebrew. I'm just wondering if there is a full 2TB XBOX games image anyone recommends or should I go with, that has all the boxes on view like I have set up in Launchbox? I current have XBMX4XBOX as my dashboard. If I remember correctly, is there a Windows app that I can transfer the extracted images (I presume its still this way rather than copy the ISO) to the drive while attached to my PC as this would be much quicker? Thanks in advance
  7. Hi Can someone with the 2TB origins HD share their F:\apps\XBMC\skin\xbox origins\720p\home.xml file? Thank you.
  8. I just resurrected a "for parts" xbox from ebay, and after replacing cpu caps, tsop flash etc, I was able to get it working. The issue I am having though is that the only cable that will work on it is my component cable. No other cable will work. I have tried both a third party AV cable and an original one, both do the same thing. I also have a xhox to hdmi dongle which will also not display any output on this xbox. Has anyone got any idea what is going on here?
  9. As the only thing left bothering me on my build this maybe an easy fix. How does one make the /D: image this disc shown below in the photos.
  10. I've recently softmodded my xbox and came across this problem on 2 games so far out of 20 that i've tried, one being gta san andreas which i put on the HDD through ftp with the fix found on this forum to get it to properly launch as well as deus ex invisible war which i played off the disc https://imgur.com/vGzh0TE I have no idea what could be causing it as it's only been happening to 2 games so far, any help would be appreciated fixing this
  11. Hello Everyone I have the XBOX Origins 2TB image. All my XBOXs are hardmodded and I want to use XBOX4GAMERS. I want to keep the games on the image to save time copying again. This image has NKPATHCER so am I right to assume its a softmod image? Is the uninstall option on the NKPATCHER menus suficient to remove the softod? I have FATXPLORER so my ultimate aim is to remove everything thats not essential and leave the games and COINOPS so I can start with a bare image and add what I want. Thanks in advance
  12. So here is the deal, I have an OG Xbox for the first time in my life. Games play amazingly well, but I don't know if it's because of the fact that most games use AA, but they tend to look a bit blurry. I am using the Xbox with component cables on a Sony Wega CRT 29inch, it is a really awesome TV. But like I said the Xbox looks a bit blurry, the Wii/Gamecube through component looks cleaner in comparison. The PS2 also looks clean on my TV using component, but the PS2 image quality is crap anyways so it doesn't even matter. In essence what I am asking is: Is there an APP or an option within a Dashboard that can make the Xbox games look sharper looking? I know that there are filters within most dashboards, but they are mostly for the dashboard itself, not the games, etc. Cheers and thank you all, you are a wonderfull community, I mean, we are
  13. i'm downloading a bunch of the oxm demo disks from archive.org. i remember that there is a certain program that i have to use to make those images ready for the hdd of my xbox but i don't remember what that program is. i'm also downloading a bunch of the oxm disk and i would like to be able to just set the program to ready all of them instead of having to do it one after the other, individually. can anyone tell me how to do this?
  14. Hello, I have used the official component cable for my original Xbox for years without any issues, until now. This is what happens: https://youtu.be/RihPxD0JcB0 This only seems to happen on menu's. No problems in-game so far. At first, I thought the cable was damaged, so I bought a Kaico HDMI adapter to replace it, but this is what happens when I use it: https://youtu.be/iLw4o2IqtGE I decided to grab my older Xbox from the attic for testing and both cables work perfectly on that console, so I think the cables are not the issue. I'm no expert at all, so can somebody tell me what's going on with my console? Can it be fixed?
  15. Hey there, I have a chipped 1.6 and I'm using it on my LG 4K TV via component cable, I'm experiencing image drop out (see the video below). I've tried 3 different sets of cables, I've changed the Xbox to NTSC to enable HD video mode. Is there anything you people can recommend for me to try? I'm willing to try anything just so I can get this issue resolved. Thanks! Video link:
