my LCD displays CPU, MB(GPU) temperatures and fan speed when in a game or application. which is how I would test my fan setups under load. Now I have made edits to the LCD.xlm in XBMC but this had no effect on showing that data. I couldn't get it to retain the Now playing text. from my understanding that has something to do with an update in XBMC that "broke" LCD support. my LCD also glitches out when left to idle, iv ruled out bad soldering, the modchip, and the LCD screen, both my SmarttXX chips do it on 2 different LCD screens and different xbox's. the LCD also works when I turn it "off" in the smarttXX OS. the glitching seems worse when its turned "ON" as for that LCD mod for halo, I could be crazy(i hope not, but since no one else remembers maybe..) it could of even been on TiZ in some dark download section crevice. Does anyone remember the websites of those old Xbox halo mod groups? I bet it could be found through the way back machine, but without a specific website name, it would be tough. iv tried to find these old sites/forums before with no luck. halo modding pretty much only brings up modding for the PC version. as a kid, i can remember browsing pages and pages of xbox specific mods for halo but that scene has been dead for a long time now.

there was some type of add on for halo CE that showed your ammo, shield, and health. I couldn't find it last time I looked though.

i dont think thats been done because the xbox cant multi-task or run 2 XBE at the same time.

not to be a buzzkill as i would love for this to be a reality, but don't you think it would have been done already if it were as simple as making a dashboard? this topic has been mentioned alot over the years and it never goes anywhere. each game would need its own server which ran its own code. heres someone who was working on it... apparently he got the xbox to connect to his Xbox live https://teambeyond.net/forum/topic/14979-this-man-is-working-on-getting-original-xbl-and-halo2-back-online/ it would probably be more realistic to Mod games to support some type of chat within local multiplayer.

like kekule said nope, the aladdin 4064 had LCD support but finding those is just as difficult as finding an X3.. any extra's you want would be adding stuff like a hard drive activity light.but that has nothing to do with the modchip

great work! you even went with green cathodes they defiantly give off a nicer glow and all your cuts look very clean! apparently, I was wrong to think the hard drive tray couldn't be moved to the other side (i told someone this the other day). but I'm curious why you didn't just use the DVD tray. a lot less to cut off that.. how are your temperatures? I struggled with high temperatures for a while ., eventually remedied with more fans, less case lol...
