Hello laminatesnow I take it you trying to make a Aladdin chip that can be used with a LCD 2 problems 1st The aladdin chip's that have been sold in the last 5 or more years don't have any tracks from the solder pads on the edge for the LCD going to the LC4032 Lattice chip. 2nd And the code that was used to run the LCD and function as a mod chip is not easy to find if at all. Trying a different screen is something I would try as I have had a Home DVD player I was repairing not display on my test screen but work on the main tv OK. TSOP flashing is the rewriting the bios file that's stored on the main board to enable the Xbox to read unsigned (Copied Disks, Homebrew Disk's) and allowing the Hard drive to be used in the Unlocked state and also allowing the hard drive to be larger than 137gb. It also makes upgrading the hard drive a simple procedure. 1 flash new bios, 2 fit new hard drive, 3 load a install disk and follow the on screen prompts, 4 FTP apps,games to your hard drive and start enjoying it. TSOP flashing will work the same as fitting a modchip as a chip is just overwriting the on board TSOP chip, 2 ways to flash a TSOP 1 is softmod the Xbox to allow you to run Homebrew software or my prefered method is to flash from the game save hack without having to softmod 1st. There is no need to use the stock BIOS as Xbox live is no longer available and you can still use the MS Dashboard with the chip enabled If you going to fit a 1tb drive your definitely going to need to update the BIOS to use more than 137gb You should be able to flash a new bios to that chip. Hello gromitski The D6 bios is really really old and some listing say it will not work in a version 1.4-1.6 I would say it's a 1.4 as no one has ever seen/owned a version 1.5 To recover from that the easy way is fit a new aladdin chip and then you could reflash the noworking one via the hot swap method but the way the chip as been fitted that's a little bit boe involved. I would say you have done aTSOP split and made a 512kb bank Is it still booting ? This is from a version 1.4 I had come in recently because it would not power on and from the top the Clock cap looks ok(the one with the blue mark on top) but that's the cap from the board and it had 4 traces on the bottom that were damaged the Power,Eject,Red led,Green led . Depending in the size of the new Hard Drive you may need to update the BIOS to support a bigger than 137gig drive. I would also fit the chip to a pin header and add a wire to the D0 point rather than it been a solderless setup or flash the on board bios chip(TSOP) and do away with the chip all together. Hello bobbyd As far as i know the wii2hdmi will not upscale it only converts the analog red,green,blue video and the left,right audio signals to digital HDMI. There is several versions of the wii2hdmi adaptors out there and some work better than others. I would double check the ground connections and also check that the Xbox is set to NTSC with 480p,720p, wide screen. I would not set 1080 as it can cause problems with the Xbox not having enough memory to fully support it. Adding the capacitor to the 5 volt supply can't do any harm and the fit the cap here. It would be placed across the red 5V and the black GND. If you having problems try getting some from a different supplier. I have fitted several as a internal conversion and not had any problems and I have also use the internal HDMI kit from N64 freak as well In the end you get what you pay for a device that was not made the Xbox(wii2hdmi) or a device that was made for the Xbox(N64 freaks). The easiest way is to Find copy of a install disk TruHeXEn 2019 or any of the others (I use SlaYers 2.7) then fit the new drive to the Xbox with you chip installed then boot you Xbox from the install DVD then follow the prompts.
