Chimp is only for softmodded systems. You dont need to lock a hard drive on a TSOP modded Xbox. Just start over with HeXEn to set up your new hard drive.

I never use Chimp. I use XboxHDM on my PC to set up a larger HDD/softmod (with an eeprom backup of course), since I have a SATA to USB 3.0 dock. Of course, completing the setup with HeXEn is essential. I got fed up with Chimp, and having to do the hot swap.

I would load the HeXEn disc, and boot it up on your Xbox. From there, you can rebuild your drive, upgrade to a larger drive, and reinstall M$ dash. Since your system is TSOP modded, there is no need to run a softmod installer.

I cloned the stock drive on my softmodded Xbox to a 500gb drive that was in my dead TSOP xbox using Chimp and locked it. The drive boots up just fine. I then use HeXEn disc to install Krayzie One Click softmod, and that was successful. I reboot into HeXEn, and I can see the F and G, but F looks empty in the file explorer (it says F has 35mb free, when it should be about 20GB free), and G says there is 0 space free. G doesn't even show up in UnleashX even though F and G are enabled. How can I get the contents of F and G to show up? I really dont want to have to reformat F and G/re-transfer everything if I can avoid it.

But were those drives locked? I want to clone an unlocked 2TB drive to put in another Xbox in a different room. Both systems are TSOP'd

This does sector by sector cloning of Xbox formatted hard drives? The description of the product from the link you sent doesn't mention sector by sector offline cloning.

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum but here goes... What's the best way to clone a 2TB SATA Xbox HDD to another 2TB drive? I have an Inateck FD2002 that is a dual SATA USB 3.0 dock, that has an offline cloning feature, but every time I try to clone my 2TB Xbox SATA HDD using the offline cloning feature, I initiate the clone function, then it briefly starts the process, but the dock restarts itself. Yea I have a dual SATA dock that supports up to 6TB drives per slot, and has a stand alone clone function. I will try it with a 500GB Xbox drive to see how it works (both the source and the target drives are identical). Assuming there are no bad sectors, how reliable is using a dual SATA dock clone function? Will it work as well if I cloned from one 2TB drive to another 2TB drive, but they are both different brands/models (assuming there are no bad sectors)?
