  2. I tried the default settings and DHCP but nothing. Then tried through static and connection sharing from my laptop. Nothing happeni and I can't ftp either through emustastion. The connection appears but has zero speed on my laptop. And the ftp name now shows the (1/1) None for some reason . Same issues with xbmc and xbmc4gamers. EvoX connects fine and I use it for ftp with zero issues .
  3. The dvd2xbox I had simply stopped working without me having done anything (tho maybe someone else messed with it ). I deleted it and installed the last version and some older ones and nothing. I cleared the save files through Xbox but I haven't checked through ftp maybe there are left over files or something. I ll check today. XYZ folders are empty but I haven't checked the cache .. didn't know there is a way to clear it so i ll take a look for this too. Last copies of the dvd2xbox had only the project mayhem lll skin Thank you every much!!

  6. Hi again team, because I’m a new member here I don’t think I can hit my existing post, but I had a little bit more free time and was able to focus on compiling it myself, and indeed it worked totally fine with a pico–W. Sincerely, this is really cool, it’s amazing that I can use a modern controller and not have to hunt for an old scuzzy one, ha ha! However, one odd thing, with my Chinese clone Xbox 360 wireless receiver for PC, it worked once with my controller but then it was just stuck syncing over and over when I powered on the Xbox by pushing just the eject button. No big deal, maybe it’s my wiring, I’ll have a play a bit later, but I just wanted to say thank you again and please ignore my previous post

  8. Can you post a picture of the folders and then inside one of the folders for one of your games please?
  9. Did the OP mess around with the DVD2Xbox skin by any chance? There is at least one skin when selected that crashes DVD2Xbox. I believe some of the other Settings options have 'issues' too so the best thing is not to change anything just always use its default settings. You'll need to delete the DVD2Xbox game save (both E:\UDATA and TDATA probably) and clear E:\Cache if present. That last thing is probably not necessary but I'd do it anyway and also go to X, Y and Z and delete any content of the folders which is DVD2Xbox related. In fact delete everything in those folders. It won't do any harm as they're temporary files but the next time you boot any app, emulator or game that writes to X, Y or Z it will take longer than usual the first time after clearing the content. Reboot the Xbox and DVD2Xbox should launch OK. Just deleting the game save should return DVD2Xbox back to the default skin but if it doesn't then you may also have to delete the whole DVD2Xbox folder and reinstall a fresh copy.
  10. As @SS_Dave Dave says, "Softmodding is like masturbating. It gets the job done, but it's nothing like the real thing." He believes that so strongly, it's his signature in every post. You could always do a TSOP flash. Use a conductive trace writing pen to bridge the protection points and never have to solder. Use a software exploit just like softmodding does and you can flash the TSOP with XBlast. Then you have a legit hardmod with no soldering.
  11. LOL Hahahahahaha Soldering was never easy for me. I don't got steady hands for shit. I would LOVE to though.
  12. I've now upgraded to UDMA 6 This is of course on my two Xenium's with the startech adpaters in them, working a treat. I'll try UDMA6 on the Chinese adapters next, see how I go. I've not gone past UDMA4 on them so far. Nice fast loading times now.
  13. ........ Um.... I.... hmmmm..... I don't know where to start.... I almost had a seizure just now.
  14. On the generics, I think 4 is normal and 5 is pushing it, but can be done with "the resistor". 6... I dunno man. I haven't seen it happen yet. Well, did you see if the DOAs were fixable with reflowing all the soldering?
  15. Why not softmod and call it a day. Back in the day I tried to solder a chip myself... Didn't go so well. I had to get a guy who was modding xboxs on campus to do it for me. Guy made it look like a joke. Softmod just makes the world go round.
  16. Funny enough I actually ordered that SATA Adapter today for my second XBOX. My other one uses the same StarTech that everyone was using before. I took a chance on this one so we'll see how it goes.
  17. Are you trying to move Games that you have to your box? There are lots of sites out there that still host ISO's that you can DL. It's strange that you haven't been able to connect to the internet via Emustation. Are you setting an IP on your XBOX or doing DHCP?
  18. I haven't been able to reliably connect xbmc /4gamers/emustastion to the internet so far and haven't tried to fix it so maybe I ll give it a try. Wouldn't be inconsistent if the game source is simply bad? I tried 3 4 different sources for specific games and none worked same with dvd2xbox. And one of them was "tested" and working but not on my console
  19. I would install XBMC4Gamers and use its downloader to download what you want, dvd2xbox is on there. HDD Ready games are known to be buggy, don't rely on them 100%. Redump style iso's are the best, and can be found on Archive. You can trim/scrub them using Repackinator to save space, and still contain all necessary game files. Dvd2xbox acl patching removes files to save space, but sometimes causes issues with Insignia, from what I've heard. Emustation has a downloader as well, if you prefer to just use it.
  20. I try to install games to Xbox . Dvd2xbox wouldn't launch so I connected the console to my PC to transfer the files and reinstall the dvd2xbox application. Transfer is normal no issues by nothing starts . Neither the HDD ready games I had and most the dvd2xbox . I tried music videos and work perfect every time . Tried to transfer other dashboards like unx emustastion xbmc and all work fine. The issues are always with games and dvd2xbox application . I downloaded "HDD ready" from an archive to further test if maybe my files are bad but same. Tested different versions of dvd2xbox same . In all launchers it just goes black and I have to reboot
  21. Thank you for this, it helped me today, 4 years later!
  22. I used to buy these adapters in batches of 10 or more at a time for 2 reasons, one to get the price down a bit and two because there would always be some that were DOA. I would say that if I bought 10 I could almost guarantee that at least 3 were dead. Getting the price down allowed me to take those dead ones on the chin and basically made the working ones cost the original price again Now I just use Startechs in my consoles. Dont mod for selling anymore.
  23. That's correct. The interposer works very well, every upgrade I've performed with them so far has worked out perfectly. If anyone wants some boards, I have 250+ and am sure I'll never use them all myself.
  24. In your rev3 BOM, is it fully working and ready to go? I ordered some from JLC PCB but after the order I noticed when cross referencing N64 Freak's interposer, he has more components than you. Are the rest of the components not needed? No need to adjust core voltage etc?
  25. haha yes, I hadn't paid attention to the solder, but when you look at it, it's shocking, I should fix it up. I'll give UDMA-6 a shot, so far lovin' my Cerbios Xboxes.
  26. Dude that soldering is BAD. No wonder so many are DOA. What are they using to solder? Chinese paste and an AIR FRYER!? BTW, you can use UDMA-6 no problem with the Startech. I use it with all my consoles.
  27. Last week
  28. Well, my Startech adapters arrived today so I fitted them to my two favourite Xenium Ice X-boxes to replace the Chinese adapters I had in there, and I discovered unlike my other X-boxes that I've been tinkering with these two Xenium ones had a different Sata adapter to the one I pictured above that were in my other Xboxes. These two had these ones. They were working perfectly fine in UDMA 4 on Cerbios, I never pushed it above that. The new Startech ones are in now so I flashed up to UDMA5 and although I can't really tell any performance difference in booting or or loading Xbox games, I am sure there must be something, what I have noticed since putting on Cerbios and changing Sata adapters is CoinOps R8 starts up so much faster and loads games faster too which is handy as that's probably the most used thing on my Xboxes.
