Cosmonaut Cartilag
When it comes to component to HDMI adapters I've seen a few people say there will be a noticeable loss in quality, however does this apply to modding an hdmi port onto the board and is it even worth it to do it? SS_Dave
In my view yes it is worth doing but you are just having the convenience of the HDMI lead as all the methods (Internal and external) are using the component (Red,Green,Blue) signal and converting to HDMI. There is a member here working on a pure digital HDMI that will bypass the Xbox's video chip but that might be a while off. prtscn
component would be the way to go. HDMI adapter is just a transcoder from component to HDMI signal, problem is they are not accurate at best. Colour accuracy, input lag, etc. RGB singal range is not known, crushed black or picture is grayish.
Gray1
I wish there was a simple answer for this. It depends on the TV. Hyperkin works pretty good on Vizio and Element but not on Samsung. The cheap component cables don't work very well either. I have never tried the Pounds cable so I can't speak to that. Right now I am using a component cable made from the XBOX 360 cable. You can make them or there is a guy selling them on Ebay. I would say stay with a good component cable.
SS_Dave
The big problem is a lot of 2020 tv's no longer have component or composite inputs.
