Or shall i not.. still works perfectly however concerned about the clock cap itself. Is this a gem i should not tamper with or should i rip its guts out and get modding. If it's a 1.6 I would replace the cap. If it's a 1.0-1.4/5 I would either remove clock cap or replace it with a super cap. These semi clear systems are really nice for LED mods. SSD upgrades are nice with mod and they are dropping in price daily. Many other mods you can do to this beauty. MadMartigan Posted August 2, 2023 Report Share Posted August 2, 2023 I’ve got several IDE HDDs in various sizes if you want to upgrade to something small without having to buy a new SATA HDD, adapter and 80wire cables. Seems like they are arent quite as uncommon as i assumed. I was thinking ebay for a sweet penny but im also thinking 16tb hdd with Cerbios now. Im catching up from a long break so any suggestions on how to role?? Im sure ive got some aladdin clones (flashable ones) in storage somewhere. I haven't seen one yet, although to be balanced, I haven't seen THAT many Halo consoles... I didn't know they manufactured them that late in the cycle. The serial number label is no issue, the other label is a security seal, but also with some time you can extract the part to recover the screw hole as clean as possible. The previous owner of mine has chosen the quick way and screwed down through the labels. Don`t like that. And you have to open it, because there is a risk the caps around the CPU are blown and the clock cap is leaking. Doing nothing will result in an non working Xbox with trace rot and a hell of a job to repair.
